Abstract

To determine the use of herbs as complementary therapy in the practice of herbal medicine doctor , performed a cross sectional study , non-intervention in patients with doctors' complementary - alternative herbal medicine in hospitals , health centers, clinic of physician networks Indonesia. Using medical records and entry program on the website Badan Litbangkes, 10 months evaluated, analyzed descriptively using SPSS software version 19.0.Obtainable 72 patients tumor with 129 visits, varying between 1-4 each patient. The most commonly tumor found is breast (32%). Of the 71 patients with tumors, 80.3% receiving herbal, 14.1% received conventional and herbal, 2.8 % received conventional, herbal and traditional health , and 1.4 % received herbal and traditional health. Conventional included chemotherapy, analgesics/antiinflammatory, antibiotic, stomach medicine, tranexamat acids, vitamins, hormonal drugs. Vitamins most used, followed by analgesic/anti inflammatory. Herbal therapy (potion) most often given white turmeric and pearl grass. Herbs with the same components supplied by 8 different doctorspearl grass, white turmeric,bidara upas.There are 51,4% patients came with good quality of life, 40% moderate and 8.6% bad. After receiving 3 modality therapy, there are 79,6% patients with improved quality of life and 20,4% status quo.

Abstract

Sosialisasi wawasan kebangsaan sebagai upaya penguatan nilai-nilai Empat Konsensus Nasional bersama anggota DPRD Provinsi Kalimantan Timur sangat relevan dalam memperkokoh persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa, khususnya di tengah keberagaman yang ada di Kalimantan Timur dan Indonesia. Sosialisasi Wawasan Kebangsaan dilaksanakan pada hari Minggu, 17 November 2024, di Agra Rasa (Eks. Mesfa Mulia), Jln. Yos Sudarso 3, RT.2, Teluk Lingga, Sangatta, Kutai Timur, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Acara ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya empat konsesnsus kebangsaan, yaitu Pancasila, UUD 1945, NKRI, dan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Kegiatan ini menghadirkan anggota DPRD Provinsi Kalimantan Timur, tokoh masyarakat, serta akademisi yang memberikan materi terkait wawasan kebangsaan, serta tantangan dan solusi dalam implementasinya di kehidupan sehari-hari. Diskusi tanya jawab menjadi ajang bagi peserta untuk mengungkapkan pertanyaan dan pandangan mengenai kendala yang dihadapi dalam penerapan nilai-nilai kebangsaan. Dengan tujuan memperkuat rasa nasionalisme, acara ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga persatuan, keberagaman, dan keutuhan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia, sehingga tercipta masyarakat yang lebih harmonis, sejahtera, dan berwawasan kebangsaan yang tinggi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the quality of education in East Kutai District. It was not equally between infrastructure and suprastructure school developments in the rural and the urban areas. It also can be effect to the quality of educations in East Kutai District, especially in rural areas. The aims of this research are describes the quality condition of elementary schools in East Kutai District, discribes supporting factors and obstacle factors, and the efforts of goverment (ministry of education) to improve the quality education  of elementary schools in East Kutai District.This is descriptive qualitative research. It was located in education goverment office (ministry of education).The result of this research was indicated that the quality education of elementary school in East Kutai Distric is excellent. It shows from the increase accreditation result every year. At 2016 all of elementary schools in East Kutai District was accredited. It was good progress. Eight national education standarts have been achieved. The supporting factors to increase the quality education of elementary school in East Kutai District, such us:  qualified human resources, a lot of budget funds, between elementary schools and ministry of education has been mutual support, good infrastructure development, and good geographic location. Even while obstacle factors such us: small budget funds, the school locations are so far from the town, education policies always change every a new minister education, and different understanding about education mindset. The efforts from education department goverment (ministry of education)  to improve the quality education of elementary school in East Kutai District are: complete the database, reorganized institution, change mindset the teachers from teachers become educators, make a program training and coaching, adjusting teacher qualifications,  make a program one sub district one favorite school, make a curriculum development, strengthening of character education, make a programe one student one book of curriculum 2013, make a mapping and dissemination for all teachers, rolling teachers and head master, make a program rehabilitation of all facilities and infrastructure, do controling from UPT.

Abstract

Kedisiplinan dan jiwa kepemimpinan merupakan dua hal yang urgent bagi pengembangan karakter seorang santri. Hadirnya pengabdi di pondok Pesantren Daarul Ikhlaash Sangatta Selatan bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman terkait dua hal di atas. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan di pondok pesantren Daarul Ikhlaash Sangatta Selatan berkaitan dengan penguatan dan pendampingan kedisiplinan dan jiwa kepemimpinan santri. Dalam pelaksanaannya, pengabdi berbaur secara langsung dengan para santri dengan menggunakan metode berpartisipasi secara langsung. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah bertambahnya wawasan para santri atau peserta didik terkait dengan kedisiplinan dan kepemimpinan. Antusias para santri menunjukkan sikap yang positif sehingga ke depan, perlu kiranya untuk ditindaklanjuti dengan kegiatan yang serupa dengan membahas topik yang lain.

Abstract

Background: Understanding the relationship between students' thinking styles and their numeracy literacy, especially in solving Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions, is essential in educational research.Aim: This study aims to explore how students' thinking styles influence their numeracy literacy in addressing HOTS-based questions.Method: A descriptive qualitative approach was employed in this research. The study involved eight students from Larangan 1 Public Middle School, selected through a thinking style questionnaire. Two students were chosen from each of the four identified thinking style categories. Data were collected using tests comprising two HOTS-based questions and interviews.Results: The findings indicate that students' numeracy literacy varies significantly according to their thinking styles when solving HOTS questions. Students identified as SK and SA exhibited higher numeracy literacy, effectively utilizing various symbols and numbers, analyzing tabular information, and interpreting these analyses to make decisions. In contrast, students labeled as RK were only able to fulfill two numeracy literacy indicators and struggled with information analysis. RA students faced challenges in correctly writing numbers or symbols, analyzing information, and articulating problem-solving processes and conclusions. The study also found that students who process information sequentially exhibited better numeracy literacy in solving HOTS-based questions.Conclusion: The study concludes that students' thinking styles play a crucial role in their numeracy literacy, particularly in solving HOTS-based mathematical problems. This insight underscores the importance of considering individual cognitive styles in educational strategies to enhance mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

The abstract nature of mathematical objects makes learning mathematics difficult and many students experience difficulties in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Geo - Gebra- assisted STAD learning model on the ability of students' mathematical understanding of learning styles. This study uses a quasi-experimental research method. The population of this study were students of SMA in the 2015/2016 academic year. The research sample was taken by cluster random sampling. The sample size is 64 students, consisting of 34 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. As a research instrument , the researcher conducted a mathematics learning achievement test and a learning style questionnaire. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The conclusions of this study are: Geogebra- assisted STAD -type collaborative learning model Winplot produces better mathematical comprehension abilities and mathematics learning achievement compared to PowerPoint-assisted direct learning models. Students with a visual learning style are at the same level as students with an auditory learning style. Students with an auditory learning style are at the same level as students with a kinesthetic learning style. Students with a visual learning style perform better in school than students with a kinesthetic learning style.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis kreatif merupakan cara efektif untuk menyampaikan pesan dakwah secara persuasif dan menarik. Namun, santri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Musyawwir masih menghadapi tantangan dalam menulis, terutama terkait struktur, gaya bahasa, dan daya tarik pesan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membekali para santri dengan keterampilan menulis kreatif yang sistematis dan selaras dengan prinsip-prinsip dakwah Islam. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan intensif, diskusi kelompok, dan latihan menulis dalam berbagai genre seperti esai, cerpen Islam, dan artikel keagamaan. Kegiatan diawali dengan asesmen awal kemampuan menulis para santri, dilanjutkan dengan penyampaian teknik menulis, latihan terbimbing, dan evaluasi melalui umpan balik yang membangun. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan santri dalam memilih diksi yang tepat, menyusun struktur tulisan, dan mengemas pesan dakwah secara komunikatif. Program ini juga menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri para santri dalam menuangkan gagasan melalui tulisan, siap dipublikasikan di media dan platform digital pesantren. Diharapkan program ini dapat menjadi model pengembangan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis santri dalam mendukung dakwah berbasis teks.

Abstract

The research aims to describe and analyze the synergy between the transformational leadership of the principal and the improvement of his managerial competence at SDN 2 Selanegara. Transformational leadership, characterized by the ability to inspire and motivate teachers and students, is believed to have implications for how principals carry out their managerial functions. Through a qualitative case study approach, data was collected through interviews with principals, teachers, and education staff, as well as observation of school activities and analysis of related documents. The results of the study showed that the transformational leadership practices of school principals at SDN 2 Selanegara, which included providing a clear vision, providing individual support, stimulating intellectually, and providing inspiration, positively correlated with the improvement of managerial competence in planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising school activities. The principal's ability to inspire and motivate staff creates a collaborative and innovative work environment, to facilitate the effective and efficient implementation of school policies and programs. The conclusion is that transformational leadership significantly contributes to strengthening the managerial competence of school principals in managing and developing schools.

Abstract

Tujuan aktivitas riset ini adalah mengidentifikasi fungsi pengajar dalam mengenali, memicu, serta mengasistensi perkembangan linguistik pada Anak Usia Dini dengan hambatan komunikasi verbal. Menggunakan metode kualitatif jenis observasi terfokus. Fokus utama adalah memperoleh pemahaman rinci mengenai kontribusi tenaga pendidik (guru, terapis, atau pengasuh) dalam mendukung peningkatan kapabilitas bahasa anak berkendala bicara. Informasi dikumpulkan via pengamatan langsung serta sesi tanya-jawab berlandaskan format pertanyaan yang telah ditentukan. Data yang terhimpun selanjutnya diklasifikasi dan dianalisis. Temuan akhir memperlihatkan fungsi utama pengajar mencakup penggunaan verbal yang jelas dengan bantuan gestur dan artikulasi, pengulangan istilah dalam bentuk sederhana, penerapan struktur kalimat yang akurat, latihan komunikasi verbal berulang dan perlahan, serta monitoring dan koreksi terhadap penggunaan kata oleh anak dalam berbagai konteks. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis tentang strategi dan pendekatan yang digunakan guru dalam mendampingi anak dengan speech delay. Selain daripada itu penelitian ini memberikan konstribusi teoritis dapat menambahkan perspektif baru dalam teori pembelajaran anak usia dini dengan mengangkat bagaimana guru dapat mengadaptasi pendekatan individual learning support dalam konteks kelas reguler untuk anak dengan kebutuhan khusus.
