Abstract

Sidimpuan snake fruit (Salacca sumatrana Becc.) plants have several varieties, one of which has a distinctive feature in the taste and colour of the fruit flesh. The results of the study from the three locations in Padangsidimpuan City obtained the morphological characteristics of sweet snake fruit (less) having a round oval to long triangular shape with brown to yellowish-brown fruit skin colour. The results of the dendrogram of the sidimpuan snake fruit (Salacca sumatrana Becc) kinship relationship based on the morphological characters of five types of salak, namely sweet snake fruit(less), sweet snake fruit (moderate), sweet snake fruit, white snake fruit, and red snake fruit, obtained 3 clusters from each location. Lubuk Raya Village, the Sidimpuan snake fruit kinship relationship based on five types of snake fruit, has a similarity level of 84 %. Batu Layan Village, the Sidimpuan snake fruit kinship relationship based on five types of snake fruit, has a similarity level of 92 %, and Palopat Maria Village, the Sidimpuan snake fruit kinship relationship based on five types of snake fruit, has a similarity level of 96 %. The results of the identification of morphological characters of snake fruit from three research locations based on the morphological characters of five types of snake fruit show genetic similarities, namely in the shape of the stem, leaf shape, upper leaf colour, lower leaf colour, leaf sheath colour, thorn colour, flower colour, fruit shape, and fruit skin colour

Abstract

The water guava Syzygium equaeum is a plant in the guava family or Myrtaceae originating from Indonesia and Malaysia.  The water guava tree and fruit are not much different from other water guava (S. aqueum), some of the cultivars are even difficult to distinguish, so both are often named by the common name water guava or just guava. Cutting is a vegetative propagation technique by cutting the vegetative part to grow into an adult plant whose characteristics are similar to those of the parent. Rice water washing waste is a waste product originating from a production process, both industrial and domestic (household) which no longer has economic value. Rice washing water contains many nutrients dissolved in it, including 80% vitamin B1, 70% vitamin B3, 90 % vitamin B6, 50% manganese, 50% phosphorus, 60% iron. The method in this research was a Non Factorial Randomized Block Design with six treatments and four replications, namely B0 = Control, B1 = 0.25 liters of rice/polybag washing water, B2 = 0.50 liters of rice/polybag washing water, B3 = 0.25 liter POC/polybag, B4 = 0.50 liter POC/polybag B5 = 0.50 liter /polybag rice washing water + 0.50 liter POC. The results of the study showed that the provision of rice washing water and POC on the growth of honey water guava only had an effect which was significant in the parameters of age at germination, while the parameters of growth percentage, number of shoots and number of leaves showed no significant influence. The best treatment is B5, namely giving rice washing water + POC.

Abstract

The use of tin (Ficus carica L.) in Indonesia is still very limited and is generally only used as bonsai saplings. Tin plants can be propagated vegetative, namely the cutting technique. Selection of appropriate biological fertilizers is one of the strategies for the success of cuttings. This study aims to analyze the effect of various biological fertilizers on stem cuttings of tin plant. This research was conducted in July-October 2022, located at CV. Martabe Prima Lestari, Lubuk Raya Village, Padangsidimpuan Hutaimbaru District. The study was arranged by using Randomized Block Design (RBD), consisting of 4 treatments: P0 (control, without biological fertilizers), P1 (Trichoderma sp. 15 grams), P2 (promoles 12.15 grams) and P3 (15 grams mycorrhiza). and 6 replicates. The data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA and if there were differences, it would be continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Results: Promol 12 and Micoriza, showed no significant difference in the percentage of live cuttings. Observation of time of bud break showed that the biological fertilizer treatment had no significant effect. Number of shoots showed that biological fertilizers had no significant effect on number of shoots. The average number of leaves showed that at 4 WAP(P0) was not significantly different from P1, but significantly different from P2 and P3. P1 is not significantly different from P2 but significantly different from P3, P2 is not significantly different from P3. It can be concluded that the treatment of biological fertilizers has a significant effect on the number of leaves on tin plants.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pH tanah terhadap kandungan N, P, K buah pada tanaman salak Padangsidimpuan (Salacca sumatrana Becc.) di Kecamatan Angkola Barat. Penelitian ini berada di lokasi Kecamatan Angkola Barat. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survey di lapangan dan Purposive Sampling. Analisis tanah dan buah salak dianalisi di laboratorium Universitas Andalas Limau Manis dengan menggunakan data regresi linear (SPSS 16). Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil regresi linier sederhana dari pH tanah terhadap N buah memiliki hubungan korelasi negatif, dan koefisien korelasinya sebesar 0,619 (kuat), sedangkan hubungan pH tanah terhadap P dan K Buah memiliki hubungan korelasi positif. Koefisien korelasi pH tanah terhadap P buah yaitu 0,421 (sedang) dan hubungan koefisien korelasi pH tanah terhadap K buah yaitu 0,046 (sangat rendah), artinya semakin tinggi keberadaan pH di dalam tanah maka kandungan P dan K dalam buah juga akan semakin meninggkat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji faktor budidaya yang memengaruhi produktivitas cabai merah pada usahatani petani di Kota Padangsidimpuan, mengingat capaian hasil di tingkat petani masih bervariasi antar wilayah. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis pengaruh pemupukan, pengendalian OPT/PHT, irigasi/pengairan, dan luas lahan terhadap produktivitas cabai merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Juni-Juli 2025 menggunakan metode survei terhadap 30 petani (purposive sampling) yang tersebar pada enam kecamatan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terstruktur dan observasi lapangan, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan regresi linear berganda. Produktivitas rata-rata Kota Padangsidimpuan sebesar 9,0 ton/ha dengan rentang 5,5–13,0 ton/ha; produktivitas tertinggi terdapat di Angkola Julu (11,0 ton/ha) dan terendah di Tenggara (7,5 ton/ha). Hasil regresi menunjukkan model signifikan (F=119,122; p0,001) dengan kemampuan jelaskan variasi produktivitas yang sangat kuat (R²=0,969; Adj R²=0,961). Secara parsial, pemupukan (B=0,487; p=0,001), pengendalian OPT/PHT (B=0,379; p=0,001), irigasi (B=0,505; p=0,001), dan luas lahan (B=9,973; p=0,001) berpengaruh positif terhadap produktivitas. Kesimpulan menunjukkan peningkatan produktivitas cabai merah dapat dicapai melalui perbaikan ketepatan pemupukan, efektivitas pengendalian OPT/PHT, keteraturan pengairan, serta pengelolaan usahatani yang ditopang kapasitas lahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kapasitas UMKM di Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara melalui program pelatihan bisnis digital yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemasaran, manajemen, dan penjualan berbasis teknologi. Program ini menekankan pemanfaatan media sosial, marketplace, dan strategi digital marketing agar UMKM dapat meningkatkan visibilitas produk, memperluas pasar, serta meningkatkan daya saing usaha. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (community service) dengan pelaksanaan pelatihan, pendampingan praktik, dan evaluasi pasca-pelatihan. Responden penelitian adalah pelaku UMKM lokal yang mengikuti program pelatihan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, wawancara, dan observasi lapangan, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan digital, dan dampak pada kinerja usaha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan bisnis digital secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap pemasaran online, penggunaan e-commerce, dan pengelolaan bisnis secara digital. Selain itu, sebagian besar peserta melaporkan peningkatan penjualan dan perluasan jaringan pelanggan setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan bisnis digital merupakan strategi efektif untuk pemberdayaan UMKM di Paluta, serta mendorong transformasi digital di tingkat usaha mikro dan kecil.
