Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted because of the low students mathematicslearning outcomes. This can be seen from preliminary test results with an average of 64.73 while KKM 75. This research is a classroom action research, which consists of two cycles. The first cycle consists of two meetings and one daily test at the end of each cycle, and cycle II consists of two meetings and one daily test at each end of the cycle as too. The subjects of this research were students VA SD Negeri 94 Pekanbaru consisting of 24 male students and 13 female students. After the improvement of learning using PMRI approach of teacher activity in the first cycle increased from 55% with enough category, to 65% with good category. Then increase again in cycle II from 75% with good category, to 85% with very good category. While the activity of students in the first cycle increased from 55% with enough category, to 65% with good category. Then increase again in cycle II from 70% with good category, to 80% with good category. Student learning outcomes increased from 64.73 to 75.91 in daily test I and daily test II increased again to 81.99. With the application of PMRI approach there is an increase in student learning outcomes from the basic score to the daily test II of 26.66%. Thus it can be concluded the application of PMRI approach can improve the learning outcomes of students' mathematics class VA SD Negeri 94 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Indonesian realistic mathematics education approach, learning outcomes of mathematics

Abstract

The developing of nomor acak learning model aims to improve the effectiveness of students’ learning in some subjects. This learning model emphasises on students’ readiness on learning process. This research implemented Research and Development method with four stages which are literature review, designing model, implementation and evaluation, and editing and publication. In designing model random number, it was found five learning syntaxes that consists of preparation, implementation of nomor acak model in learning process, evaluation, conclusion, and giving motivation. After applying this method four times, questionnaire was given to 83 students for evaluation, and the result showed that this method can improve learning effectiveness at level of 79,83%. It can be concluded that random number learning model can improve learning effectiveness.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low of mathematics learning outcomes of grade V students of SD Negeri 136 Pekanbaru. This is because students only listen and memorize the material that has been given by the teacher, the low creativity of students in solving problems in learning, and the students only focus on the material that has been submitted by the teacher. This study aims to determine the number of learning between students who use the open approach with students who learn conventionally. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with the subject of a student study of class V SD Negeri 136 Pekanbaru. The results showed that there is an open relationship to the outcomes of learning mathematics students V SD Negeri 136 Pekanbaru. This can be seen from the increase of mathematics learning outcomes from the average of the initial test 35,161 to 71,290 in the final test with an average increase of 0.600 medium category. While the control class average averaged 37,177 initial tests to 47,984 in the final test with an average increase of 0.161 low category. The open ended approach provides a strong relationship with the coefficient of 0.721 and the coefficient of determination 51.99%, in other words the approach of open ended student learning outcomes.Keywords: Open Ended Approach, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The Contextual Teaching Learning Model (CTL) makes the learning process that emphasizes the process of student involvement in real life everyday. This study aims to determine the differences in students’ science learning outcomes using the CTL model. This research method uses Quasi-Nonequivalent Experiment of Pretest-Postest Design Group. This study was conducted on 56 students who each class amounted to 28 students. Based on the results of the study obtained the results of science learning students learn with the CTL model higher increase than those who study with conventional models. It can be seen from the gain index value in the CTL class of 56% which is the medium category, while the gain index value in the conventional class is 32% which is a low category. This shows that the CTL model can improve the learning outcomes of elementary school students in water saving and natural events.

Abstract

Learning models that are always evolving make researchers interested in developing to learning models. This research try to introduce nomor acak learning models to physics students in the FKIP of Riau University to Management Education course. Nomor acak models is a learning model that emphasizes that students are active during the learning process, this model has been designed before its and is still tried in a small scope. This research uses action research method by describing all activities carried out during one semester in accordance with the stages of the model with the steps of preparation, implementation, evaluation, conclusion and motivation. From the results of the implementation for one semester the average grades of class A and B are as follows: midterm exam 85.14, final exams 81.83, Weight, 84.5, Obtaining a value of A17.5 (45.46%), Value of A-16, 5 (42.85%), Value of B+ 4.5 (11.68%). From the learning outcomes that appear after the end of this semester it can be seen that the nomor acak learning models is able to increase the value of students.

Abstract

The use of science learning media has become an obligation of learning as the implementation of active learning curriculum. This study analyzes the teachers comprehension of the use of instructional media in schools, especially the science intructional media in the high grade of elementary schools. The observed components include teacher comprehension of media, creativity, skills, objectivity, facilities and infrastructure, learning format, practicality, motivation, endurance, suitability of learning objectives, goals of science as an output, science objectives as a process, science objectives as a scientific attitude, conformity media, student learning styles and flexibility. The results of this study indicate that teachers have used intructional media, but tend to procedural according to the guidebook and learning media tend to be only as a complement to learning, does not lead to the learning objectives of science.

Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to knowing the differences in self confidence of students before anda after assertivee training thehnique was applied through group guidance and knowing the effect of assertive training thechnique to improve student self confidence through group guidance. The study was conducted in pekanbaru state SMP 13 towards 7 subjects with purposive sampling technique. One group pre-test post-test model. The data collectionn instrumen used was a self confidence measurement. The results showed that there were differences in self confidence before and after being given assertive training technique with a significance value of 0,018 < 0,05. In addition, based on the spearman rank test, it is known that there is a significant effect between improve student’s self confidence significance 0,012< 0,05. The influence of assertive training technique to improve student self confidence is 75% ehole 25% effect by other factors that come from the student;s environtment. From the results obtained, it is recommended that educational institutions should continue to carry out activities that are able to improve student’s self confidence in the teaching and learning proccess to encourage  more perpersonal communication in the teaching and learning proccess to encourage  more positive thoughts, perceptions, insight and student attitudes. Key Words: Assertive training technique, self confidence, group guidance

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine whether there is a significant relationship between students' perceptions towards teacher creativity in teaching with interest in learning mathematics in class V SDN 167 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru SDN 167 in January 2019, this research is a quantitative study with a sample of 40 students. The data used in this study are primary data obtained from questionnaire data. Data collection techniques were obtained from student perception questionnaires towards teacher creativity in teaching and mathematics learning interest questionnaires given to students. Data were analyzed by statistical techniques using SPPS Version 23. Software Based on data analysis, the results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between student perceptions towards teacher creativity in teaching with fifth grade mathematics interest in SDN 167 Pekanbaru with a contribution of 30.9%.Key Words: Student perception, teacher creativity, interest in learning

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on the background of the number of students in adolescence who do not have good emotional control, so they are on problems that harm themselves and others, the purpose of research to examine the effects of dhikr therapy on improving emotional control of students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative research with the experimental method using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The measuring instrument used in this study was the emotional control measurement scale consisting of 55 items before validity, and after validity there were 32 valid items obtained with validity of 0.491 and reliability of 0.792. Determination of the subject using purposive sumpling technique, and get 7 subjects from SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru who were identified as having low levels of emotional control. The data analysis technique used is the non-parametric statistical technique using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study prove that the research hypothesis is accepted. This is known from "Test Statistics", known as Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.018. Because the value of 0.018 is smaller than <0.05, it can be concluded that "Ha is accepted". Therefore, it can be concluded that there are differences in emotional control scores before and after treatment given in the form of dzikir therapy. Based on the calculations that have been done, 71% of the Pre-tests are in the low category and 29% in the moderate category. The post-test is 43% in the medium category and 57% in the high category. Thus Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that dzikir therapy can improve emotional control of students SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru.Key Words : dhikr, emotional control

Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to examine the effect of teaching point values to improve social relations of isolated students through group guidance in public high school 5 Pekanbaru. Instructional teaching is all kinds of advice, guidance, advice, trust, teaching, and exemplary examples that benefit human life in a broad sense that contain the noble values of Islamic religion and are in accordance with the culture and social norms adopted by the community. This type of research is quantitative in experimental mode using the design of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The measuring instrument used in this study is sociometry and the scale of social relations. Sociometry used is sociometry with multilevel scale. Determination of the sample using purposive sumpling technique, by processing the results of sociogram and getting 7 isolated students from class X IPS in Pekanbaru Public High School 5, from 7 isolated students were given the scale of social relations and identified as having low social relations. The data analysis technique used was a non-parametric statistical technique using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there were differences in the social relations of isolated students before and after given the Teachers' Point values with a significance value of 0.018 <0.05. This means that there are differences between the level of social relations of students isolated before and after given the values of Teachers. Furthermore, based on the Spearman rank test it is known that there are influences of Teachers' Point values on social relations of isolated students with a significance value of 0.021 <0.05. The Effect of Teaching Point Values on social relations of isolated students is 69% while 31% is influenced by other factors that originate from within and from the student's environment. It can be concluded that the teaching values are influential to improve social relations of isolated students through group guidance.Key Words: Teaching point values, Social Relations
