Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of zig-zag and shuttle run dribbling training methods on the dribbling performance of 13–14-year-old players at SSB Ganesha Putra Purwodadi. Dribbling is a key fundamental skill in football that should be developed from an early age. The research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (pretest-posttest two group design). A total of 20 players were divided into two groups and trained over 16 sessions during a four-week period. The instrument used was a dribbling test conducted before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests with SPSS. The results showed that both training methods significantly improved dribbling quality (p < 0.05). The zig-zag group improved by an average of 1.06 seconds (5.93%), while the shuttle run group improved by 0.68 seconds (3.79%). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the zig-zag training method is more effective than the shuttle run method in enhancing players’ dribbling skills. The zig-zag drill focuses on rapid direction changes, agility, and coordination, which are crucial in football gameplay. This study is expected to serve as a reference for coaches in designing effective training programs and contribute to the development of technical training methods football.

Abstract

In developing the game of pétanque, it is necessary to master good basic techniques because this is the initial capital of an athlete to develop his game. Good mastery of basic techniques can also improve performance optimally. The purpose of this study was to analyze the accuracy of petanque pointing in a standing position at Atlas City Petanque Club (ACPC) athletes in Semarang City. The type of this study is descriptive-quantitative. The sample of this study was 8 athletes of ACPC club in Semarang city consisting one female and seven male athletes. Inclusion criteria in this study was having experience at national or international levels competitions and having trained for at least 6 months. All sample also sign the inform consent as a agreement to participate the research until the end. The results of this study indicate that the analysis of the pointing accuracy in standing position by ACPC club athletes in Semarang City is in the Precise Category, with an average distance of the ball to a target was 0.14 meters. Pointing in a standing position is very effective for a distance of 9 meters due to the ideal body position with a long throw distance from the target. The limitation of this study only focuses on the throwing distance produced by each athlete, so it has not been able to analyze every value generated from each athlete’s throws. Further, research can analyze the backspin technique of pointing in a standing position to complement the current research data.

Abstract

High mix-low volume (HM-LV) manufacturing environments face significant inefficiencies due to low repetition, high product variation, and complex labor allocation challenges. This study develops a Task Matching System to Optimize High-Mix Low-Volume Manufacturing using Design Thinking Methodology to address these issues at Startiara (pseudonym), an Indonesian commercial display manufacturer. By creating a human-centered, iterative solution, the system optimizes task assignments, enhances production speed, maintains product quality, and improves worker satisfaction. Drawing on theories like Adam Smith's division of labor, Wright's learning curve, and the theory of identical elements, the system sequences similar tasks to maximize efficiency and reduce cognitive switching. A mixed-methods approach incorporated historical production data, Likert-scale surveys, and two rounds of iterative testing. The system was implemented on seven product types with four experienced workers over six days. Results show an average productivity increase of 7-21%: Product AT by 7.35% (13.08 to 14.04 pcs/hr), Product AL by 4.26% (19.03 to 19.84 pcs/hr), and Product TB by 21.7% (8.07 to 9.82 pcs/hr). Reject rates remained stable (e.g., Product AL at 2.56/100 produced, Product TB at 0/100 produced). Worker satisfaction improved markedly : Interested Feelings from 4 to 4.5, Inspired Feelings from 3.25 to 4.25 and Tired Feelings from 3.75 to 3.25 (5-point Likert scale). Key sustainability factors include dynamic priority logic, task repetition thresholds, time buffers, and data-driven refinement. This framework offers SMEs in HM-LV contexts a practical tool to overcome operational inefficiencies.

Abstract

Observations of kabaddi players or athletes in Central Java reveal weaknesses in applying this technique on the field, particularly regarding maintaining a safe distance and strength. This study aims to explore the effect of lunge jump training on the back kick technique used by Kabaddi players in Central Java Province in 2025. This study is a quantitative study using an experimental method. It employs a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The study involved 30 kabaddi athletes in Central Java as the sample or research subjects. The instrument used in this study was a test to measure the distance of backward kicks. The data analysis techniques in this study include prerequisite tests: normality and homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing: the Paired Sample T-Test. The results of this study show that the average backward kick distance during the pre-test was 72.45 cm, and the average backward kick distance during the post-test was 79.20 cm.The normality test results showed that the data had a normal distribution (p > 0.05), and the homogeneity test proved that the variance of the data was consistent. The paired sample t-test resulted in a significant value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that lunge jump training improved the back kick technique of Kabaddi players in Central Java Province.

Abstract

There are various kinds of traditional game toys, such as bamboo stilts, which have strong educational and motor skills value, particularly for static and dynamic balance training, coordination, and core muscles. Early engagement with digital objects will attenuate participation in traditional forms of gaming. This study aims to examine the relationship between traditional stilts games and balance ability for elementary school children. The research used a quantitative, cross-sectional design and purposively selected 49 grade V students from Musuk Public Elementary School , Musuk District, Boyolali Regency  as the study’s sample. Participation in the egrang games was categorized as low, medium, or high. Balance of the body was, however, measured by the Static Stork and Dynamic Beam Scale. The data were compared using descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, and Pearson’s correlation at the p < 0.05 significance level. Results The frequency of playing e-grang games was significantly associated with static balance (r = 0.605; p = 0.000), but not with dynamic balance (r = − 0.276; p = 0.055). It can be said that the traditional game (egrang) is more effective at improving body steadiness when the body is static than when it is dynamic. The development of the egrang game can be used as one form of active learning on static balance among elementary school students.

Abstract

Kabaddi is a high-intensity sport that requires speed, agility, strength, and neuromuscular coordination. However, studies on the physiological characteristics and physical condition of kabaddi athletes, especially in Indonesia, are still very limited. This study aims to analyze the anthropometric profile and physical condition of female kabaddi athletes in Central Java and identify the relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and physical condition. The study used a quantitative, descriptive approach and involved 12 athletes selected through purposive sampling. The instruments included anthropometric measurements (height, weight, BMI, leg length, and arm span) and physical condition tests (speed, agility, endurance, flexibility, and strength). The data were analyzed using T-Scores and Chi-Square tests. The results showed that the majority of athletes had a BMI in the Obesity I category (58.33%), but most of their physical condition was in the moderate category (41.67%). The Chi-Square test produced a p-value of 0.310, indicating no significant relationship between BMI and physical condition. These findings confirm that BMI is not an accurate indicator of athlete fitness, as athletes with high BMI but excellent physical condition tend to have low body fat and high muscle mass, while athletes with low BMI and poor physical condition have excess body fat that hinders performance. Further research can use more accurate body composition measurements and more specific training programs according to individual needs and playing positions.
