Abstract

The pharmaceutical industry has the potential to produce waste water which is categorized as hazardous waste. The operational process of waste treatment has the potential to pose a risk of processing failure. The purpose of this article is to analyze the risks that occur in the pharmaceutical industry wastewater treatment process. This study uses the Analytichal Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The number of experts used was three people. The results show that there are four main factors that have the potential to produce a risk of failure of wastewater treatment processes such as man, machinery, method, and material. The method factor is the highest risk factor which is around 0.609 with a consistency ratio of 0.08. In addition, the Sub-criteria that have the potential to experience the risk of process failure are the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) which has not run optimally which is equal to 0.701. Furthermore, in assessing the level of risk obtained, the optimal SOP is run at 0.685. The implication of the application of the AHP method is that a more in-depth review is needed regarding the criteria and sub-criteria used to obtain more comprehensive results.

Abstract

The quality of water as a raw material in the process of food production has an important role. Water quality control is the key in maintaining production. This is the underlying purpose of this study to make improvements in its production activities to reduce the number of defective products in the production process. Water quality control of production is done by specifying several parameters, such as pH, turbidity, and iron. This study uses the concept of Six Sigma DMAIC.Pareto diagram shows water tends to acid, muddy, and contain much iron. Furthermore, the fishbone diagram is used to determine the percentage biggest defect. Improvement performed at the highest RPN value of around 630 in the filter. In addition, the value of sigma level before improvement around 3.3 with the possibility of defects approximately 34491 to a million process. Furthermore, the level of sigma after improvement roughly 4:09 with the possible failure of the process around 5526.

Abstract

Industri makanan merupakan salah satu jenis industri manufaktur yang menggunakan berbagai sumber daya dalam operasionalnya dimana dalam prosesnya berpotensi menghasilkan air limbah yang mengandung berbagai senyawa yang dapat menurunkan kualitas lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan faktor kunci peningkatan kualitas air limbah di industri makanan. Pemilihan alternatif dan analisis strategi menggunakan metode Interpretative Structural Modelling (ISM), dimana metode ini menggunakan penilaian pakar dalam bentuk kuesioner dalam pengambilan datanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat faktor utama dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas air limbah seperti manusia, mesin, metode, material dan lingkungan. Lebih lanjut, berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan metode ISM diperoleh nilai dependent yang rendah dan nilai driver power yang tinggi, maka dapat diketahui faktor kunci dalam peningkatan kualitas air limbah di industri makanan yaitu faktor monitoring harian dalam pengecekan effluent. Sehingga, pemangku kepentingan di industri pengolahan makanan untuk senantiasa melakukan monitoring dan perbaikan proses dalam rangka peningkatan kualitas air limbah yang sesuai dengan baku mutu lingkungan.Kata kunci: Air limbah, Industri makanan, ISM, Kualitas, Faktor kunciABSTRACTThe food industry is one type of manufacturing industry that uses various resources in its operations. The processing process has the potential to produce wastewater containing various compounds that can reduce the quality of the environment. This study aims to determine the key factors to improve the quality of wastewater in the food industry. The selection of key factors is using Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) method. This method uses expert judgment in the form of questionnaires in the data retrieval. The results showed that there are four main factors in efforts to improve the quality of wastewater such as human, machine, method, material, and environment. Furthermore, based on ISM method analysis results obtained low dependent value and high power driver value, a key factor in improving the quality of wastewater in the food industry is daily monitoring factor in effluent checking. Abstract

Penetepan strategi pengelolaan sampah dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk mengurangi laju timbulan sampah di TPA Burangkeng Kabupaten Bekasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi faktor internal dan eksternal yang menjadi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman bagi TPA Burangkeng, kemudian merumuskan alternatif strategi pengembangannya. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threath) dan AHP (Analitical Hierarchy Process). Berdasarkan hasil analisis SWOT terhadap faktor internal dan eksternal TPA Burangkeng, diperoleh alternatif strategi bagi pengembangan kebijakan operasional, yakni strategi perencanaan SDM, strategi perbaikan metode dan teknologi, serta strategi pengadaan sarana dan alat. Hasil perumusan strategi dari analisis SWOT tersebut kemudian ditentukan prioritasnya dengan menggunakan AHP. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan metode AHP diketahui kriteria utama yang perlu diperhatikan dalam pengembangan adalah kriteria teknologi dengan bobot prioritas sebesar 0,371, dan sub-kriteria untuk pencapaian teknologi adalah melalui inovasi pengelolaan dengan bobot sebesar 0,325. Sehingga strategi pengembangan yang didapat adalah melalui strategi perbaikan metode dan teknologi pengelolaan, dengan bobot prioritas sebesar 0,540.ABSTRACTThe determination of a waste management strategy is carried out as an effort to reduce the rate of waste generation in the TPA Burangkeng, Bekasi Regency. The purpose of this research is to identify internal and external factors which are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of TPA Burangkeng, then formulate alternative development strategies. The research method uses SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threath) and AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). Based on the results of the SWOT analysis on the internal and external factors of the Burangkeng TPA, an alternative strategy was obtained for the development of operational policies, namely the HR planning strategy, the strategy for improving methods and technology, and the strategy for the procurement of facilities and tools. The results of the strategy formulation from the SWOT analysis are then prioritized using AHP. Based on the results of research with the AHP method, it is known that the main criteria that need to be considered in development are technology criteria with a priority weight of 0.371, and the sub-criteria for technological achievement is through management innovation with a weight of 0.325. Thus, that the development strategy obtained is through a strategy to improve management methods and technology, with a priority weight of 0.540.

Abstract

Electronic equipment is produced to meet human needs, so this will also have a significant impact on increasing the rate of e-waste generation in landfills in almost all countries. One of the environmental pollution issues that are of concern throughout the world is the management of e-waste (e-waste). This is due to the rapid increase in the use of electronic products. Thus, the existence of electrical and electronic equipment becomes shorter and becomes obsolete. The absence of information related to the volume of e-waste generation and material flow is one of the problems of the Indonesian government in managing e-waste. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to calculate e-waste and analyze material flow. The method used in this study is Material Flow Analysis (MFA). Furthermore, a survey of household and informal sector respondents was used. The questionnaire adopted from UNEP was modified and distributed to 400 households and 54 informal sectors in DKI Jakarta. The results show the total rate of generation of e-waste produced aaproximately 7713.42013 kg/year. Furthermore, it is necessary to develop several strategies in order to avoid negative impact. This research can be information in filling the data limitations and management of sustainable e-waste in DKI Jakarta.

Abstract

Gangguan pendengaran yang disebabkan oleh kebisingan di lingkungan pekerjaan telah menjadi perhatian para peneliti. Pemerintah memberikan aturan secara jelas mengenai ambang batas mengenai kebisingan di lingkungan kerja dalam kaitannya dengan pencegahan penyakit akibat kerja. Makalah ini menganalisa paparan kebisingan kerja dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri kebisingan pada beberapa industri yang berbeda di Jakarta. Kuesioner digunakan untuk menggali informasi pada responden yang dianggap berpotensi terpapar oleh kebisingan di lingkungan kerjanya. Responden dipilih secara acak yaitu 400 orang pekerja pada 3 lingkungan industri yang berbeda seperti permesinan, industri daur ulang biji plastik, dan industri konveksi. Studi menunjukkan bahwa industri permesinan memiliki tingkat kebisingan yang lebih tinggi, yaitu sekitar 97 dB, sedangkan industry pengolahan biji plastik sekitar 92 dB dan industry konveksi sekitar 65 dB.  Proporsi terbesar penggunaan APD  adalah wanita yaitu sekitar 75% sementara laki-laki hanya sekitar 65%. Sedangkan berdasarkan usia, diperoleh informasi bahwa usia responden 21-35 tahun merupakan pengguna APD terbesar yaitu sekitar 67.8% dan usia di atas 46 tahun menggunakan APD sekitar 37.2%. Para stakeholder mempunyai peranan yang cukup penting dalam upaya mereduksi potensi risiko yang dapat muncul dari paparan tingkat kebisingan pada lingkungan pekerjaan serta senantiasa memperhatikan faktor-faktor kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja (K3) karyawan.

Abstract

The management of wastewater should produce the final result of its corresponding environmental quality standards. Thus, that it does not harm the environment and decreasing the quality of human health. The problem on this research was found that there are several parameters on the wastewater not comply such as pH and TSS to Indonesian Standards. This study aims to analyze the value of process capability resulting from wastewater treatment, especially parameters of pH and TSS. Several methods used in this study such as IMR control chart, capability process, and fishbone.  The results of this study show the parameters of pH and TSS from the wastewater treatment in the pharmaceutical industry obtained the average Cp index of around 0.602 and CPK approximately 0.8 for pH parameters. In addition, the quality of wastewater for TSS parameters obtained CP index roughly 0.68 and CPK approximately 0.70. Therefore, it can be concluded that the process does not have a good capability.

Abstract

Meningkatnya urbanisasi menimbulkan biaya sosial dan lingkungan yang tinggi. Urbanisasi juga mendorong munculnya masalah limbah padat. Masalah ini muncul karena adanya kesalahan dalam manajemen dan rendahnya kesadaran akan pengelolaan limbah padat, dalam hal ini di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis tingkat pengetahuan, perilaku, dan praktik mahasiswa yang terkait dengan pengelolaan limbah padat di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Pancasila. Sebanyak 100 mahasiswa di Fakultas Teknik dipilih secara acak dan diberikan kuesioner kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan software Minitab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa secara umum sangat baik, sedangkan terkait dengan perilaku menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 75% mahasiswa memiliki perilaku yang sangat baik dalam pengelolaan limbah. Selain itu, praktek pengelolaan limbah padat oleh mahasiswa menunjukkan tingkat yang masih rendah yaitu 28% mahasiswa masih belum memisahkan jenis limbah yang dibuang. Meskipun setengah dari responden sadar akan pentingnya mengelola limbah padat, kebanyakan dari mereka gagal mempraktekan pengetahuan dan kesadaran mereka. Oleh karena itu, upaya yang luas dan berkelanjutan oleh berbagai pemangku kepentingan sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mahasiswa tentang pengelolaan limbah padat yang berkelanjutan, khususnya di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Pancasila.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the most sustainable solid waste management scenario for universities. It is based on the Green Campus concept which aims to eliminate waste inefficiencies and use energy sources for ordinary electricity needs, as well as proper disposal management and efficient recycling programs. The Analytic Hierarchy Process approach is used in this study to produce strategic decisions in solid waste management. A pairwise comparison questionnaire was distributed to four experts from universities to give an assessment of the questionnaire. The results show that the alternative of recycling technology innovation is the choice of experts with a weight of 0.429 which is based on technology criteria with a weight of 0.477 and the sub-criteria of Perception and participation of campus residents with a weight of 0.509. Furthermore, the overall assessment of the experts has a consistency value below 0.1. This research could be a starting point in developing a Green Campus sustainability strategy through solid waste management.

Abstract

Pengendalian kualitas pada industri semen sangat diperlukan termasuk pada produksi kantong semen. Proses produksi kantong semen pada PT. XYZ masih menghasilkan produk defect yang cukup besar dengan 4 jenis defect yang terjadi di antaranya adalah defect chop, defect lem, defect overlapping, dan defect ukuran/dimensi. Defect chop merupakan jenis defect terbesar yaitu sebesar 92% (5.757 pcs) dari total defect kantong semen sebesar 6.258 pcs. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis nilai kapabilitas proses pada produksi kantong semen selama bulan Agustus-September 2021. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain check sheet, histogram, diagram Pareto, peta kontrol p dan kapabilitas proses. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa nilai Indeks Cp pada proses produksi kantong semen didapatkan sebesar 0,72 dan nilai Cpk diperoleh sebesar 0,66. Lebih lanjut nilai indeks Cp dan Cpk yang didapatkan tersebut masih kurang dari 1, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses belum memiliki kapabilitas proses yang baik atau proses belum memenuhi spesifikasi. Penelitian lebih lanjut terkait identifikasi dari faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya cacat produk agar dapat melakukan tindakan perbaikan dari produk yang cacat.
