Abstract

Differentiated instruction, which tailors learning experiences based on students’ readiness, interests, and prior knowledge, has been identified as an effective approach to fostering self-regulated learning. This study aims to analyze the impact of differentiated instruction based on prior knowledge on students' self-regulated learning, focusing on its benefits, challenges, and potential solutions for effective implementation. A systematic literature review was conducted using major academic databases, applying PRISMA guidelines for article selection. Thematic analysis was employed to identify key themes related to prior knowledge, differentiated instruction, and self-regulated learning. The findings indicate that differentiated instruction based on prior knowledge positively contributes to the development of students' self-regulated learning, metacognitive skills, self-efficacy, and intrinsic motivation. However, challenges such as limited teacher training, time constraints, and lack of institutional support hinder its implementation. Various strategies, including professional learning communities (PLCs), dynamic assessment, and adaptive technology, have been proposed to address these issues. The study concludes that strengthening teacher training programs, fostering collaboration among educators, and leveraging technology are essential to optimizing the implementation of differentiated instruction based on prior knowledge. Future research should explore its application across different educational levels and subject areas to enhance its effectiveness in diverse learning contexts.

Abstract

Kampung ramadhan moderasi beragama dilaksanakan untuk menanamkan paham moderasi beragama pada remaja di wilayah provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Hal tersebut juga bertujuan untuk menciptakan agen-agen moderasi beragama pada kalangan remaja. Sasaran utama pada kegiatan ini adalah remaja yang hidup dalam perkembangan jaman yang serba modern, mudah mendapatkan informasi dan pengajaran dari berbagai sumber. Sehingga dianggap perlu untuk diberikan pemahaman secara langsung terkait moderasi beragama agar remaja tersebut terhindar dari perilaku-perilaku ekstrem. Selain itu juga kegiatan ini dapat mengisi waktu mereka dalam menjalani ibadah suci ramadhan. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini berjumlah 351 orang yang terdiri dari remaja yang berasal dari berbagai daerah di provinsi Sulawesi Barat dan sedang menetap di kabupaten Majene. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, peserta menjadi sangat antusias untuk lebih memperdalam pemahaman mereka terkait moderasi beragama.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pembelajaran menggunakan video animasi dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik di MI DDI Lipu, khususnya dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain kelompok tunggal pra dan pascates untuk mengukur pengaruh penerapan video animasi terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik di MIS DDI Lipu pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, dengan data yang diperoleh melalui angket yang dibagikan kepada seluruh populasi (18 orang) yang dijadikan sampel jenuh. Analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik deskriptif untuk menggambarkan data dalam bentuk persentase dan distribusi frekuensi, serta analisis inferensial menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test atau uji Wilcoxon, tergantung distribusi data. Hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa penerapan video animasi dalam pembelajaran efektif meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Sebelum penerapan, motivasi belajar peserta didik tergolong rendah dengan rata-rata 22,27, namun setelah menggunakan video animasi, motivasi mereka meningkat menjadi kategori tinggi dengan rata-rata 26,72. Hal ini didukung oleh analisis statistik yang menunjukkan perubahan signifikan, dengan uji T menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,005 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, yang berarti ada pengaruh signifikan antara penerapan video animasi dan peningkatan motivasi belajar. Selain itu, instrumen angket yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini valid dan reliabel, dan data yang diperoleh berdistribusi normal, memungkinkan penggunaan uji hipotesis yang tepat. Dengan demikian, video animasi terbukti sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze character building among students through intracurricular activities at Madrasah Aliyah Darud Da’wah Wal Irsyad (MA DDI) Baruga. The research focuses on the role of teachers in classroom learning, the teaching methods applied, and the strategies used to internalize character values within intracurricular activities. This research employs a qualitative approach, in which the researcher directly visited the field to conduct observations, interviews, and document analysis. The primary data sources are the principal and teachers who are directly involved in implementing intracurricular activities. Data were analyzed using the NVIVO application through several stages, namely open coding, axial coding, and visualization. The findings indicate that character building in intracurricular activities is manifested primarily in biology and mathematics classes through project-based learning models. The character values internalized include integrity, independence, cooperation, and religiosity. The process of internalization is not carried out rigidly or dogmatically but through dialogic learning that stimulates students’ moral and spiritual awareness. This approach aligns with the moral knowing dimension of Lickona’s character education theory, emphasizing cognitive understanding accompanied by reflection on values. It also resonates with the Mandar cultural value of malaqbiq, which upholds manners and honor as a noble social identity. Thus, the learning process at MA DDI Baruga serves not only as a medium for knowledge transfer but also as an effort to shape students’ character rooted in Islamic teachings, modern educational theory, and local wisdom.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the learning process from the perspective of students in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program at STAIN Majene, addressing gaps between expectations and actual educational outcomes. A mixed-methods design was used, integrating quantitative data from structured questionnaires and qualitative insights from in-depth interviews. The Discrepancy Evaluation Model guided the analysis to identify inconsistencies between intended and experienced learning processes. Findings reveal significant disparities in four key areas: the relevance of course material, availability of learning resources, instructional methods, and quality of feedback. Students reported that course content often lacks practical application, resources are insufficient or outdated, teaching methods are predominantly traditional, and feedback lacks personalization. To bridge these gaps, the study recommends aligning the curriculum with industry and societal needs, enhancing digital learning resources, training lecturers in interactive and student-centered pedagogies, and providing more individualized feedback. Importantly, involving students in ongoing program evaluations is emphasized as a critical step toward responsive and effective educational reform. Continuous, collaborative improvements are essential to strengthen learning outcomes and graduate competencies. These findings not only inform internal program development at STAIN Majene but also offer valuable insights for similar Islamic education programs seeking to enhance their effectiveness.
