Abstract

Seaweed in Wuakerong Village, Nagawutung Sub District, Lembata Regency has prospects and business opportunities are adequate to give hope to farmers in improving welfare. The fact that seaweed farming has not yet provided better and maximum results as desired by the farmers. This study aims to evaluation the marketing channels, marketing margins and profit share of marketing agencies. The research is located in Wuakerong Village, Nagawutung Sub District, Lembata Regency which is determined purposively. The number of sample is 30 farmers taken by simple random sampling, 4 middlemen traders and 2 gatherer traders taken by using snowball method. The data collection methods is interview and questionnaire directly to farmers and marketing agencies, literary method or data collecting from institutions related to the research’s aims. The variables observed covered the condition of location, population, level of education, land, production, sale price, purchase price, marketing margin, profit share of marketing agencies, and marketing margins distribution. The research results show that there is two marketing channel in the researched result, as follows: Channel I : farmers middlemen traders gatherer traders PAP Channel II : farmers gatherer traders PAP The magnitude of marketing margins is different between the marketing channels, and so it is with profit share of marketing agency. On channel I, magnitude margin is IDR 3,250 and profit share is 71.11% on farmers, 17.76% on middlemen and 11.09% on gatherer traders. On channel II, the magnitude of marketing margin is IDR 1,250 and profit share is 88.88% on farmers and 11.09% to gatherer traders

Abstract

A study aimed to judge earnings and efficiency of mushroom cooperative farming was conducted at Puworejo District of Parusuan Regency. Primary data was collected from all 20 farmers involved in the farming. All data related to mushroom farming was collected using questionnaires combine with field visits. Results of this study revealed that based on production, revenue, earnings and costs, the cooperative mushroom farming was efficient to carry on. This was indicated by revenue: cost ratio of 1.59 at nucleus and 1,74 for plasma for one production cycle in the cooperative system

Abstract

One of the horticulture commodity able to take role in agricultural development is string bean. In Sub-Province Lamongan, centre production of string bean is District Babat, Sekaran, Laren and Kedung Pring with productivity; level 15,0 t/ha. Result of research indicate there is two, system marketing of string bean in Village Kuripan, and channel marketing I (entangle farmer, merchant mount countryside/supermarket and wholesaler), channel II (entangle farmer, compiler merchant mount supermarket and district). Executed by marketing function that is transfer function which consist of purchasing, sale and physical function (depository and transportation function, and also facility function that is market information). Efficiency marketing value at channel marketing of I (0.26%), relative lower if compared to marketing efficiency value at channel marketing of II (3.17%). It is assume channel marketing of I relative more efficient because efficiency value smaller than II channel and its marketing marjin also smaller relative

Abstract

Bluluk District is known as a production centre of maize in Lamongan Regency. However, the optimum maize production in this area not has not been met. This study was aimed to (a) implementation of agribussiness system in developing maize, (b) trend of harvesting area and maize yield, and (c) policies supporting maize development. This study was conducted from August 2009 – January 2010. Samples selected for this study comprised 30 farmers. The collected data were primer and secunder and the data to analyses with Qualitative-descriptive, Trend and SWOT. Results of this study showed that: (1) agribusiness system for maize development has not been maximally implemented, (2) trends of harvest area and production of maize were linear and tended to increase every year, and (3) the policy strategies for maize development using agribusiness approach consist of several aspect: (a) production, (b) institutional, (c) financial, (d) harvest technology, (e) marketing, and (f) human resource

Abstract

A study that was aimed to describe financial feasibility of tofu home industry development in Biak Numfor Regency has been conducted from October to December 2008. The existing six tofu home industries in Biak Numfor Regency were subjected for this study. Results of the study showed that the average production capacity of tofu home industry in Biak Numfor Regency was 163.093 ton/year. This was based an assumption that one year is 365 days, the average production was 1.162.182 pieces. Production capacity was recorded to be 1.173.077 - 1.233.658 pieces and raw material need was 120.651 -126.882 ton / year. Labours used for tofu processing ranged from 5-6 persons with salary of Rp. 1.200.000/month/person. Own capital spent for tofu production was Rp. 1.689.700.000,- per year. Tofu producers could make profits when they could produce at least 470.941 pieces/year at a price of Rp. 2.000,- / piece. Based on the average total production for 5 years of 941.881.225 pieces with total production cost of Rp 1.233.658, the price BEP was 763,49. Considering to the B/C ratio value of 2,62, the tofu home industry was feasible for further development. Investment of tofu home industry was also feasible. This was based on the discount rate of 16%, the NPV value of Rp 967.206.279,- form the present value of Rp 995.385 542,- with investment value of Rp. 28.179.262. This indicated that tofu home industry was feasible for further development in Biak Numfor Regency

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the stability of Indonesian rice supply and demand equilibrium system and to evaluate short-run and long-run impacts of price policy using Cobweb equilibrium model. The results show that in the short-run equilibrium of rice supply and demand deviates; however, in the long-run it is stable. These implication is price policy on agricultural inputs and output does not disturb Indonesian rice market. Therefore, the policy is still reasonable to be implemented

Abstract

Company cassava chips "dolphin" is one of the agro-industry that can compete with other agro-and agro-industries can increase sales of their products so they can get maximum benefit. So that could be done using linear programming is by using the simplex method. Based on the results obtained by the company gets the maximum profit of IDR 4.04 million/day within 1 week maximum profit of IDR 24.24 million in a month so the maximum profit of IDR 105,040,000,- and known to the optimal production of cassava chips cassava chips located on the sweet taste with the production of 950 kg/day. Abstract

This study was aimed to elucidate (a) marketing management of soybean seed conducted by PT Sang Hyang seri (Persero) of Malang, (b) problems encountered by PT Sang Hyang Seri in conducting marketing management of soybean seed, and (c) effect of implementation of price and distribution policies on marketing of soybean seed. The Company uses marketing mix soybean which is a combination of product, price, distribution and promotion to market soybean seed. Constraints of production aspect were due to imprecise production planning and marketing period of soybean seed. Distribution aspect faced constraints in the forms of capacities transport minimum and less paying attention of risk storey level. At price aspect produce to be burdened at price height sell resulted from by the level of production cost and also fewer funds to represent constraint at promotion aspect. Result of regression analysis indicated that price variable and distribution influenced storey level marketing of soybean seed

Abstract

The aims of this research were to describe the market balancing variable influence, goods balancing, producer balancing, and distributor balancing toward the distributor channel choosing for zalacca in Pasuruan. Respondents were taken from the population using random simple sampling technique toward the zalacca farmer. The results showed that market balancing variable, goods balancing, producer balancing, and distributor balancing simultaneously influenced decision of distribution channel choosing of zalacca by farmers at the study area. Abstract

Character education is an education that teaches about the values of human behavior associated with the Almighty God, human beings, the environment, and nationality were manifest in mind attitudes, feelings, words, and actions based on religious norms, legal norms, manners, culture, and customs. This study aims to determine the obstacles of character education and the influences of character education to children in the family farm laborers to consistency in the agricultural sector. This research was conducted in the Sukosari Village and Mojorejo Village in Ponorogo Districit from April until November 2016. The approach used in this research is quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed that the obstacle of parents in teaching children of farming is capital in an attempt to develop farming. Furthermore, the results of multiple regression analysis is the regression equation Y = 1.733 + 0.785X1 - 0.208X2 + 0.622X3 + ε. Hypothesis testing simultaneously explains that awareness of children, the child's feelings and actions in character education of children by parents significantly affect the consistency of child farm workers to pursue agriculture. Partial test showed awareness of children and children's actions significantly influence interest in farming in Ponorogo, while feeling effect is not significant..
