Abstract

Abstract. In the context of globalization and cross-border collaboration, cultural differences pose significant challenges to organizational communication, including within multinational Public Relations (PR) agencies. This study examines how intercultural conflicts are managed in the work environments of Vero Indonesia and Vero Thailand, two branches of a multinational PR agency in Southeast Asia. The study aims to identify conflict resolution strategies, employee adaptation patterns, and solutions to intercultural communication barriers. A phenomenological approach was employed to explore the subjective experiences of employees influenced by cultural values such as kreng jai, power distance, and uncertainty avoidance. A qualitative method was applied through in-depth interviews with three informants from both countries. The findings indicate that cross-cultural communication conflicts more frequently emerge as subtle coordination disruptions such as message misinterpretation, differences in work pace, and variations in authority structures rather than through open confrontation. Employees address these challenges through synchronous communication, output visualization, observation of communication styles, and cross-branch coordination escalation. Self-adaptation is understood as a process of developing empathy and professional flexibility, while cultural diversity is perceived as an organizational strength that enriches cross-border collaboration.   Abstrak. . Abstract

Self-actualization is a continuous process of individuals in reaching the peak of their life potential, which requires reorientation of values when faced with a new environment. This study aims to analyze the process of reorientation self-actualization in students through the Unisba Global Student Motion (U-GEO) program, an international intercultural mobility initiative from the Unisba International Affairs Office (KUI). This program was established to strengthen international cooperation and facilitate students in building the university's reputation in the international arena. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, this study explores the meaning and motivation of the conscious experiences of five U-GEO participants. Results show that global interactions trigger significant transformations in students motives for action, both in the past and in their future goals. Students experienced a reorientation of identity that included a change in mindset to become more open-minded, increased self-confidence, and a new understanding of success as a form of continuous self-development. This reorientation not only served as professional capacity building but also as an emotional foundation for achieving more complete self-actualization amid cultural diversity. This research is expected to contribute to the implementation of future programs so that they can pay more attention to aspects of individual development in greater depth.

Abstract

Globalization has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including social, political, economic, and human communication patterns. Language is a key element in the communication process because it serves as the primary tool for interacting and conveying meaning. The development of social media, especially the YouTube platform, has given rise to the phenomenon of increased consumption of multilingual content that is not only entertaining but also educational. One notable account is Juni The Polyglot, which showcases communication skills in various foreign languages and has the potential to influence the motivation to learn foreign languages among its viewers. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational study. The research population consists of followers who interact through comments on Juni The Polyglot videos, with a sample of 59 respondents obtained using the Slovin formula. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted through questionnaires, literature studies, and additional interviews to strengthen the findings. The findings indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between multilingual content and foreign language learning motivation among Juni The Polyglot's followers. The overall relationship falls into the strong category. Furthermore, each sub-variable Shareable, Useful, Interesting, and Different—also demonstrates a positive and significant relationship with foreign language learning motivation, with correlation strengths categorized as moderate. Among these four dimensions, Useful shows the strongest relationship with learning motivation. In conclusion, the higher the quality of multilingual content presented by Juni The Polyglot in terms of shareability, usefulness, attractiveness, and uniqueness, the higher the followers' motivation to learn foreign languages. This study is expected to contribute to the development of digital communication research, particularly regarding the effectiveness of educational content on social media in enhancing learning motivation, and to provide insights for educational content creators in developing more effective learning content.   Globalisasi telah membawa dampak yang signifikan terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk sosial, politik, ekonomi, serta pola komunikasi manusia. Abstract

Amid digital information overload, audience attention has become an increasingly scarce resource. Conventional Digital Public Relations (DPR) strategies that rely on persuasive copywriting and transactional engagement are becoming less effective, especially among Generation Z audiences who tend to be skeptical toward promotional messages. This study aims to construct a conceptual framework that integrates neuromarketing principles with audience participation in producing User-Generated Content (UGC). Using a qualitative Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on the PRISMA protocol, this study examines peer-reviewed literature from Scopus, Web of Science, and Sinta published between 2019 and 2025. The findings show that social media engagement is not a random response, but a sequential cognitive process involving sensory attention, affective resonance, and participatory action. This study proposes the Hook UGC Multilayer conceptual model, consisting of the Sensory Layer, Affective Layer, and Motor Layer. The model contributes to the development of evidence-informed Digital Public Relations strategies by explaining how cognitive triggers may encourage voluntary UGC participation.
