Abstract

This research was motivated by the low interest in reading and students' reading comprehension abilities. The School Literacy Movement was implemented as an effort to improve students' abilities in literacy. The School Literacy Program has the potential to increase students' reading interest and reading comprehension. The school literacy movement program often organizes various interesting activities such as writer's meetings, reading competitions, and book clubs. These activities can stimulate students' interest in reading and help them feel more connected to the world of literacy. This program focuses on teaching literacy skills, including reading comprehension. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of the School Literacy Movement, the impact on reading interest, and the impact on fourth grade students' reading comprehension abilities. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive case study approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this research show that students have implemented the School Literacy Movement. Students' interest in reading has increased and their enthusiasm has increased. Students' reading comprehension abilities have also increased, it is known from tests on reading story texts and answering questions that students are able to understand the contents of the text, find the message of the story, and are able to summarize the story. In terms of reading comprehension, this program also integrates strategies and approaches supported by research to improve students' reading comprehension. Thus, the School Literacy Program can provide a strong foundation for the development of reading skills and better reading comprehension in students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan membaca siswa kelas II sekolah dasar di Blora serta kurangnya penggunaan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan penggunaan media audio visual dalam proses pembelajaran di era recovery learning. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media audio visual dan kemampuan membaca pada proses pembelajaran di era recovery learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian ex-post facto. Data yang dibutuhkan diperoleh menggunakan instrument penelitian berupa angket. Sasaran pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SDN Plumbon dan kelas II SDN Punggursugih. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif penggunaan media audio visual dan kemampuan membaca terhadap pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran di era recovery learning.

Abstract

This research aims to create animated video content based on local wisdom to enhance students' proficiency in creating procedure texts. This study, which falls under research and development (R&D), employed the ADDIE paradigm, which has five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The evaluation of media development included 23 fourth-graders, two teachers, and material and media validation. The methods used to acquire the data included performance, documentation, interviews, observation, and questionnaires. The paired t-test and the N-gain test were used for the final data analysis, while the normality test was employed for the initial data analysis. The results of media validation by material experts obtained a percentage of 91% (very feasible), and media experts obtained a percentage of 90% (very feasible). The results of the pretest and post-test assessments were calculated using N-gain for small groups to increase by 74% with an average difference of 30% and for large groups to increase by 68% with an average difference of 24%. The t-test was used to assess the difference. The results of the pretest and post-test evaluations showed a significant difference, with a value of 0.000009<0.05 for the small group and a value of 0.000000002<0.05 for the large group. Based on these data, it can be concluded that making local wisdom-based animated video media to improve students' procedure text writing skills is valid, feasible and effective to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Masa usia 6 hingga 12 tahun merupakan masa peralihan dari taman kanak-kanak ke sekolah dasar (SD). Tahap ini dikenal juga dengan masa peralihan dari prasekolah ke akhir masa kanak-kanak hingga pubertas Pada umumnya setelah usia 6 tahun, perkembangan fisik dan mental anak sudah membaik, menjadi lebih sempurna. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif yang mana data yang didapatkan yaitu dengan hasil dari wawancara dari pihak SDN 02 Candisari. Hasil penelitian bisa dilihat bahwa cerita yang disukai anak – anak yaitu bisanya tentang dongeng apalagi dongeng kalau kelas tinggi legenda berbau mistis. Kemudian menanggapi atau feedback cerita yang sudah pak guru sampaikan itu tadi tentang apa cerita tersebut. Strategi khususnya yaitu kalau anak rendah itu biasanya suka dongeng tentang hewan atau fabel begitu dengan menggunakan media gambar dan lain – lain. Kalau untuk tugas biasanya ada tentang cerita rakyat disekitar (desanya), mereka pun menggunakan bahasa baku saat penugasan dan menceritakan ceritanya. Kesimpulannya penggunaan cerita anak sangat lah memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap pengembangan kemampuan bahasa dan imajinasi anak. Diantaranya anak memahami kemampuan bahasa yakni meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa anak agar dapat berkomunikasi secara lisan dengan lingkungannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menginvestigasi permasalahan dan solusi dalam pembelajaran puisi anak-anak di sekolah dasar, khususnya terkait dengan penciptaan minat dan pemahaman yang berkelanjutan. Melalui pendekatan studi literatur, data diperoleh dari berbagai referensi, termasuk buku, jurnal penelitian, dan artikel terkait dengan topik tersebut. Metode deskriptif-analisis digunakan untuk mengelaborasi ide-ide utama dan mengevaluasi solusi dalam pembelajaran puisi anak-anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya permasalahan, seperti adanya puisi semu yang dihasilkan anak-anak akibat minimnya kemampuan dalam menggunakan diksi. Paradigma lama di lingkungan pendidikan yang mengabaikan karya sastra siswa juga memberikan dampak negatif terhadap pembelajaran puisi. Diketahui pula bahwa pembelajaran puisi cenderung lebih teoretis daripada praktisnya, dan siswa dijejali dengan puisi impor yang mungkin tidak sesuai dengan konteks kehidupan mereka. Dalam memecahkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian menyarankan beberapa langkah. Pertama, guru perlu menghargai kepolosan ekspresi siswa, memberikan ruang bagi kreativitas, dan membiarkan mereka mengekspresikan pengalaman sesuai dengan pikiran mereka sendiri. Kedua, pendekatan proses dapat membantu siswa melewati tantangan diksi dalam menulis puisi bebas, melibatkan fase pramenulis, draf, revisi, editing, dan publikasi. Ketiga, merangsang imajinasi siswa melalui teknik mengganti puisi, menulis berdasarkan objek langsung, berdasarkan gambar, berdasarkan cerita, dan mengawali atau meneruskan puisi. Selain itu, pemilihan bahan penulisan puisi yang kontekstual, penerapan teknik 'ideluka' untuk meningkatkan diksi, dan kegiatan cipta sastra, seperti menulis puisi, juga dapat membantu menciptakan minat dan pemahaman yang berkelanjutan. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan kreatif dan holistik dalam pembelajaran puisi anak-anak di sekolah dasar memiliki peran penting dalam menciptakan minat dan pemahaman yang berkelanjutan serta memupuk kreativitas siswa dalam mengekspresikan diri melalui puisi.

Abstract

Pembelajaran PKn mampu memberikan dampak yang positif terhadap pengembangan siswa. Sudut pandang siswa terhadap muatan pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan masih menjadi mata pelajaran yang membosankan, dan banyak guru masih mengunakan metode ceramah Hal ini berdampak terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis video animasi pada muatan pembelajaran PKn kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Model ADDIE terdapat 5 tahap yaitu: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V sebanyak 33 siswa, guru kelas V, dan tim ahli  (media dan materi). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes, kuisioner, dan wawancara. Setelah data terkumpul dilanjutkan untuk melakukan analisis data dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, deskriptif kualitatif, dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media yang dikembangkan yaitu Video Animasi sangat layak diaplikasikan dalam proses pembelajaran materi perilaku yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari Kelas V sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Using literary works in language and learning cannot be avoided. For this reason, this research aimed to determine the use of literary works in students' literature learning to support the School Literacy Movement (GLS) at SDN Genuksari 01. There are several research stages in this research: the pre-field, fieldwork, and data analysis stages. The data were collected through interview techniques and questionnaires conducted on 17 classroom teachers and a school principal (18 participants). The data obtained was then processed and analyzed descriptively according to the research flow. Finally, data validity was carried out by triangulating data and sources. This study's result is that most teachers have implemented literary works in literature learning since before the pandemic until now. The sources are from the school library, teachers, or students in the form of printed or digital. This means GLS in SDN Genuksari 01 is supported by using literary works in the literature learning process. However, there are several challenges experienced by the teachers, such as limited sources in the school library, teachers' inability to use IT-based literary works, teachers' limitation in understanding literary material, and students' low interest in reading activities.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, educational challenges are becoming increasingly complex and require innovation in the learning process to improve the quality of student learning outcomes. One innovation that is currently developing rapidly is the application of learning media. The problem found by researchers in the field is the lack of application of the learning media used which affects student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of paper puppet learning media has on the third grade elementary school level. The type of research used is quantitative research with a pre-experimental designs research design with pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of this research were third grade elementary school students at elementary school with a sample of 53 students and the sampling technique used was random sampling. The data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The research results obtained were that there was an influence on student learning outcomes after testing and comparing the application of paper puppet media. The conclusion of the research obtained were that there was an influence on student learning outcomes between before and after implementing paper puppet learning media.

Abstract

The development of the times has influenced education in Indonesia to become more advanced, but the education system in Indonesia has not fully run well. Many challenges are still experienced by educators in Indonesia, especially in the context of learning Mathematics in Elementary Schools. Being one of the subjects that students are less interested in, an educator must be able to make students active and develop their individual abilities in a fun way. The purpose of this research is to investigate how the TGT learning paradigm, with assistance from Dakota Media, affects students' interest in and performance in grade V mathematics in primary schools.. This kind of research uses a nonequivalent control group design and is quasi-experimental. 30 students from class VB, the experimental class, and 31 students from class VA, the control class, both attended SDN Jatisari Semarang City. Both classes had the same ability before being given treatment.  The instruments used in this study were tests and interest questionnaires. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing of the effect of interest and student learning outcomes using the t-test, the significant value is obtained < 0.05 and the tcount > ttable value, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the TGT model assisted by Dakota on the interest and learning outcomes of mathematics FPB and KPK material in grade V SDN Jatisari.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of using Rimba Raja interactive learning media on reading ability and the presence of motivation to learn Javanese script in elementary schools. This type of research is Quasi Experimental Design with a Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was all students in class IV of Jatisari State Elementary School, totaling 84 students, with a research sample of 28 class 4a students and 28 class 4c students of Jatisari State Elementary School. Both classes have the same abilities before being given treatment. The instruments used in this research were tests and motivation questionnaires. Based on the results of the hypothesis test on the influence of reading ability and motivation using the independent sample t-test, a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained and showed that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. These results prove that the Rimba Raja interactive learning media has an effect on reading ability and motivation to learn Javanese script in class IV Javanese language subjects at Jatisari State Elementary School.
