Abstract

The problem underlying this research is the low mastery of concepts and the lack of learning independence of students in the learning process. This research aims to develop Student Worksheets (LKPD) assisted by Canva using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to increase students' mastery of concepts and learning independence. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with seven simplified steps, including needs analysis, product design, expert validation, revision, field trials, final product revision, and dissemination. Data collection was carried out through expert validation questionnaires, learning outcomes tests, learning independence questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. Data was analyzed descriptively, quantitatively and qualitatively. The product trial involved 21 students from an elementary school. The research results show that the LKPD assisted by Canva that was developed is valid and suitable for use based on expert assessments. The N-Gain value obtained shows an increase in concept mastery. In conclusion, Canva-assisted LKPD with the PBL model is effective in increasing students' mastery of concepts and learning independence, making it suitable for use as an innovative learning medium in elementary schools. Implications of this research shows that the use of digital technology in learning can increase student engagement and understanding of the concepts being studied.

Abstract

Guru wajib melakukan pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan yang mencakup pengembangan diri, publikasi ilmiah, maupun pengembangan karya inovatif. Permasalahan yang dialami guru-guru yang tergabung dalam KKG gugus Gajahmada, Kecamatan Gajahmungkur, Kota Semarang berkaitan dengan hal tersebut adalah kesulitan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme pada kepenulisan. Kegiatan pengabdian dalam bentuk pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan melalui pendampingan penulisan artikel jurnal sangat penting untuk dilakukan mengingat kualitas dan kuantitas publikasi ilmiah oleh guru-guru masih kurang optimal. Sasaran pada kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru di Gugus Gajahmada yang terdiri dari perwakilan guru dari 7 SD (negeri maupun swasta). Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari: pengisian angket/kuesioner sebagai penilaian kemampuan awal, pemaparan materi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan penulisan artikel jurnal, pendampingan penulisan artikel jurnal melalui pendekatan klasikal, kemudian kelompok kecil atau individu, pengarahan untuk publikasi ke jurnal target dengan bekerja sama dengan beberapa jurnal, Guru kembali mengisi angket/kuesioner sebagai penilaian diri setelah kegiatan pendampingan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan penulisan artikel jurnal, sehingga berdampak pada kualitas tulisan yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan membaca aksara jawa dan motivasi belajar yang signifikan antara penerapan media Flipcard Carakan dengan menggunakan media konvensional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode kuantitatif Quasi eksperimen, dengan pendekatan posttest-only group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya perbedaan kemampuan membaca aksara jawa dan motivasi belajar yang signifikan pada penggunaan media flipcard carakan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai hasil perhitungan uji-t (sig-2tailed) adalah 0,42 untuk kemampuan membaca aksara jawa dan 0,03 untuk motivasi belajar. Untuk nillai rata-rata hasil survei angket motivasi belajar kelas kontor mendapatkan nilai 75,00 dan kelas eksperimen 82,59 artinya kelas eksperimen memiliki motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi. Pada nilai rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan membaca aksara jawa kelas kontrol adalah 64,00 dengan taraf ketuntasan 42% sedangkan untuk kelas eksperimen 74,29 dengan ketuntasan 77,7%. Media flipcard carakan terbukti berpengaruh positif dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan kemampuan membaca aksara jawa.

Abstract

A nation with high cultural literacy describes the competence of its citizens who can think critically, creatively and communicatively in the face of global competition. The main problem of this research is the low level of cultural literacy and citizenship skills of elementary school students. One of the causes of these problems is the low quality of the learning media used in learning in elementary schools. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using hand muppet learning media based on local wisdom and the impact of using hand muppet learning media on increasing cultural literacy skills and citizenship of elementary school students. The research model used is a combination method of an exploratory type. The sample of this research is elementary school students in six Kediri elementary schools who have different characteristics. Based on the research results, it was found that the hand muppet was learning media based on local wisdom that was developed and contributed to increasing the ability of cultural literacy and citizenship. This ability improvement occurred throughout the sample schools. Thus, the hand muppet learning media based on local wisdom functions for students with high and low competence.

Abstract

This study aimed to create gamified learning media based on the RADEC model, using Genially to boost fifth-grade students' reading comprehension of narrative texts. Following a Research and Development (R&D) approach within the ADDIE framework, the research adhered to a structured process: analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The analysis phase unveiled key challenges, such as students' difficulties in identifying main ideas and their lack of engagement with narrative texts, highlighting the necessity for innovative, technology-driven learning tools. In the design phase, engaging gamified media rooted in the RADEC model was crafted on Genially.com, incorporating interactive and visually appealing activities aligned with the RADEC steps (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create). The development phase involved expert and educator reviews of the media, which yielded a feasibility rating exceeding 90% after refinements were made based on their feedback. During the implementation phase, both small- and large-group trials were conducted, leading to significant improvements in reading comprehension. Pretest-posttest comparisons, bolstered by N-Gain scores, classified the media as "quite effective," with paired sample t-tests confirming statistically significant progress. The study also highlighted high satisfaction levels among teachers and students, who lauded the media for its engaging and effective approach to enhancing comprehension. Ultimately, the study concluded that gamified media, when combined with the RADEC model, effectively boosts cognitive and motivational outcomes, demonstrating its value in real-world classrooms. While the research centered on narrative texts, it emphasizes the potential of interactive technology to cultivate meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences. Future studies should further explore this approach with various text types to enhance digital literacy in 21st-century education.

Abstract

Science, which studies living beings and inanimate objects in the universe, requires engaging learning media to foster students’ interest in learning. A problem was identified at SDN Ngaliyan 05, where the lack of varied learning media and the monotonous use of textbooks resulted in low interest and incomplete learning achievement related to the water cycle material, as per KKTP standards. This study aims to develop, analyze the validity, and assess the effectiveness of digital Pop-up Book media to enhance interest and learning outcomes in the water cycle material for fifth-grade students. The research method used is research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The results show that digital Pop-up Book media is highly feasible, with validation scores of 87.5% from material experts, 97.5% from media experts, and 97.5% from practitioners. The media effectively increases interest and learning results as determined by t-test analysis, with a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. The N-gain test result shows a moderate improvement in learning interest 0.63 and learning outcomes 0.67. In conclusion, the digital Pop-up book media enhances interest and learning outcomes in the water cycle material.

Abstract

The lack of pre-reading and post-reading activities leads to low reading comprehension skills among students. The application model and media can be a solution to this problem. The purpose of this study is to analyse the effectiveness of the multiliteracy model supported by edpuzzle in improving the reading comprehension skills of fifth grade students. The material taught focuses on reading comprehension skills in expository text learning with quantitative methods, quasi-experimental design. The sample of this study consisted of an experimental class and a control class of 21 students each. The data collection techniques used are test and non-test techniques, which are then analysed by normality test, paired sample t-test and N-gain test. There is a significant difference in the paired sample t-test with a sig value. (2-tailed) &lt;0.001&lt;0.05. Based on the N-gain test, it was found that the average learning scores in the experimental class were higher than in the control class, with scores of 61.47% and 42.07% respectively. Thus, it can be concluded that the multiliteracy model supported by Edpuzzle is more effective in improving the reading comprehension skills of fifth grade students of SDN Karanganyar 01 Semarang City on expository text material compared to conventional methods

Abstract

Kemandirian belajar dan minat baca menentukan optimalnya hasil belajar. Kajian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan kemandirian belajar dengan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia, hubungan minat baca dengan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia, serta keterkaitan antara kemandirian belajar dan minat baca terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif jenis korelasi dengan populasi seluruh peserta didik kelas III SDN Tambakaji 03 yang berjumlah 56 peserta didik menggunakan sensus/sampling total. Dengan mengumpulkan angket kemandirian belajar dan minat baca tipe skala likert serta dokumentasi nilai sumatif hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia pada semester ganjil. Data diproses menggunakan analisis uji korelasi sederhana, dan ganda. Hasil penelitian mengungkap adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kemandirian belajar dan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia (r=0,503), minat baca dan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia (r=0,459), serta kemandirian belajar dan minat baca terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia (r=0,515). Dengan demikian semakin tinggi kemandirian belajar dan minat baca peserta didik maka semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar yang di dapatkan.

Abstract

Dalam era globalisasi dan transformasi digital, komunikasi tulis melalui surat dinas dan surat pribadi memainkan peran krusial dalam membangun interaksi manusia. Surat dinas, sebagai bentuk formal komunikasi tulis, mencerminkan budaya dan etika organisasi, sementara surat pribadi menggambarkan dimensi personal dan emosional. Meskipun surat pribadi telah bertransformasi ke bentuk digital, generasi muda menghadapi kesulitan menulis surat dinas, menyoroti urgensi literasi tulis formal. Kesopanan dan keterbacaan dalam surat dinas memainkan peran penting, mencerminkan aspek etika dan profesionalisme. Penggunaan surat pribadi untuk informasi rahasia menunjukkan kompleksitas interaksi manusia, dengan kepercayaan dan keintiman sebagai faktor penentu. Penelitian ini menyoroti kebutuhan mendesak untuk meningkatkan literasi tulis formal melalui program pelatihan, dengan implikasi signifikan pada efektivitas komunikasi dan kebutuhan akan hubungan interpersonal yang mendalam.
