Abstract

This study investigates the development and impact of sharia insurance in Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. The Islamic financial market in Indonesia has great potential because the majority of the population is Muslim. This study analyzes publications and journals in Indonesia that discuss sharia insurance using the literature review method. The research results show that sharia insurance has developed into a contemporary financial company that is able to compete with conventional insurance. Based on the main principles of Islam, such as Aqidah, Al Itu, Prophethood, Khilafah, and Ma'ad, sharia insurance includes products such as life insurance, education insurance, and health insurance. The sharia life insurance business uses tabarru' and mudharabah contracts to manage participant funds, which are invested in accordance with Sharia law. The concept, legal sources, sharia supervision, agreements, ownership and management of funds, premiums, and sources of payment for sharia insurance claims are different from conventional insurance. Through mutual cooperation, investment, and providing financial needs when risks occur, sharia insurance helps build a sustainable sharia economy. However, the economic crisis, capital needs, competition in regional markets, shortage of human resources, lack of public awareness, and product distribution problems are all the problems facing sharia insurance. Further efforts are needed to overcome difficulties and increase public understanding of the importance of sharia insurance.

Abstract

The global economy increasingly emphasizes development in terms of the economy that must be able to improve people's standard of living to achieve progress. Labor force participation is one of the important factors influencing economic growth, where the role of women in the workforce is often hampered by gender inequality that still exists in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of male and female participation in the workforce to the Indonesian economy. This study uses secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to analyze the differences in labor participation between men and women, and their impact on macroeconomic indicators. Using the panel data regression analysis method, this study compares the effect of male and female labor force participation on economic growth in various provinces in Indonesia. The results of the study show that there is an effect on male TPAK and female TPAK, although male participation in the workforce is higher than women, increasing female participation can make a significant contribution to the Indonesian economy, especially in sectors that require skilled workers. This study can help the Indonesian government in making the right policies.

Abstract

The Islamic education system plays a strategic role in shaping a generation that is not only intellectually competent but also spiritually and morally grounded. This article examines the implementation of Islamic education by focusing on three key aspects: strategic planning, resource management, and quality assurance. The study is motivated by the urgent need for Islamic education to respond to contemporary challenges, particularly in an era marked by globalization and digital transformation, which demand an education system that is both relevant and competitive. This research employs a qualitative approach through a comprehensive literature review of policy documents, scholarly sources, and field practices observed in various Islamic educational institutions. The findings reveal that effective implementation strategies must be grounded in a clear vision and mission, well-developed strategic planning, and strong, visionary leadership. Efficient management of resources—particularly qualified educators, infrastructure, and funding—significantly contributes to the success of the learning process. Moreover, an integrated and continuous quality assurance system is crucial for maintaining educational standards and ensuring institutional accountability. In today’s context, the integration of Islamic values with modern management practices, adopting information technology, is vital in advancing a high-quality, adaptive, and globally competitive Islamic education system. This study recommends fostering stronger collaboration among the government, educational institutions, and society to establish a holistic and sustainable framework for Islamic education.   Keywords: Islamic education, implementation strategy, educational resources, education quality, Islamic education management

Abstract

Research Originality: This study examines the short-term and long-term relationships between macroeconomic variables and income inequality, adopting a broader approach than previous research, which has primarily focused on partial and simultaneous influences on income inequality.Research Objectives: This study aims to analyze the dynamic variables that affect income inequality in Indonesia.Research Methods: This study uses panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2015 to 2023 and employs the Generalized Method of Moments Arellano Bond (GMM-AB) approach. This method was selected to address endogeneity and heteroscedasticity issues commonly encountered in panel data analysis.Empirical Results: The findings reveal that the Indonesian Democracy Index and the Gender Inequality Index significantly impact income inequality. Meanwhile, the ICT Development Index and the Human Development Index also exhibit significant influences. These results reinforce the argument that enhancing access to education and promoting gender equality are essential strategies for reducing income inequality.Implications: The study provides valuable insights for policymakers, emphasizing the need to strengthen democratic institutions and empower women through improved access to education and economic opportunities as key measures to mitigate income inequality.JEL Classification: D63, J16, O15, O32, P16How to Cite:Syafitri, A. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using Pop-Up Book learning media in improving student learning outcomes on the topic of Events in Europe that Influenced Human Life in Grade XI at SMA Negeri 12 Ambon. The background of this research is based on the importance of mastering historical materials, which are often difficult for students to understand without the support of engaging, visual, and interactive learning media. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results showed that the use of Pop-Up Book media significantly improved student learning outcomes. In the initial test, only a small portion of students reached the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). After the first cycle, classical completeness increased significantly, and by the second cycle, most students had met or exceeded the KKM. The cooperative learning approach applied during the lessons also encouraged active student interaction, enhanced understanding of historical material, critical thinking skills, and collaboration. Based on these findings, Pop-Up Book media can be recommended as an innovative alternative in history learning at the senior high school level
