Abstract

Di dalam khazanah sastra Sunda  klasik terdapat sebuah cerita rakyat yang amat populer dan bernilai mitis-religio-magis bagi masyarakat Sunda masa lalu, yaitu Carita Pantun Mundinglaya di Kusumah (CPMK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab masalah (1) bagaimanakah struktur formal puisi naratif sastra lisan CPMK? (2) bagaimanakah nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter bangsa yang dikemas dalam teks CPMK? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan objektif dengan metode struktural. Berdasarkan hasil penerapan pendekatan sastra, diperoleh beberapa temuan, yaitu sebagai berikut. (1) Di dalam sastra lisan CPMK terdapat 8 formula, 13 fungsi cerita, dan 7 lingkungan tindakan. (2) Hadirnya teks (cerita) yang dikemas dalam sastra lisan CPMK secara semiotik dan etnopedagogi patut dimaknai sebagai adanya suatu perlambang kehidupan manusia yang tersembunyi di balik rangkaian peristiwa yang dialami para tokoh. CPMK mengisyaratkan makna tentang perjalanan hidup manusia. Hidup adalah perjuangan. Jalan menuju kemuliaan akan selalu dihadang oleh berbagai cobaan dan ujian. Hanya pribadi-pribadi yang tangguh yang akan mampu mengatasi cobaan dan ujian sehingga mencapai martabat terpuji. Ungkapan terakhir ini adalah salah satu konsep dari nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter bangsa (etnopedagogi).Abstract:In the classic Sundanese literary work there is  a  kind of popular folktale containing magical religious myth for Sundanese society in the past called Carita Pantun Mundinglaya Di Kusuma (CPMK). The study aims at answering the research questions:  (1) what are the formal sructure of CPMK oral literary narrative poetry? (2) what are the values of nation character education in CPMK text? The present study  applies objective approach with structural method.  Based on the application of literary approach, the findings are as follows. (1) in the CPMK orality there are  8 formulas, 13 narrative func- tions, and 7 settings. (2) The presence of CPMK oral literature  semiotically and ethnopedagogically should be  meant as a symbol of human life behind a series of events happening to the characters. CPMK contains meaning of the course of human life. Life is struggle. The path to dignity will always deal with obstacles. Only strong individuals are able to deal with them in order to achieve a glorious dignity.This statement is one  of the concepts of the values of nation character education in CPMK story.

Abstract

Objek pembicaraan pada tulisan ini meliputi dua ranah studi, yaitu sastra lisan Carita Pantun Sanghyang Jagatrasa (CPSJ) dan sastra tulis naskah Wawacan Sanghyang Jagatrasa (WSJ). Masalah yang diangkat berkenaan dengan:(1) transformasi antara kelisanan CPSJ dan keberaksaraan WSJ, (2) struktur formal puisi naratif CPSJ dan struktur formal sastra tulis WSJ, dan (3) makna semiotik di balik antroponimi dan  toponimi universal yang tertuang pada CPSJ dan WSJ.  Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah itu, yaitu (1) pendekatan sastra lisan dan (2) pendekatan sastra tulis. Berdasarkan hasil  penerapan pendekatan sastra lisan ditemukan (1) CPSJ memiliki 8 formula, 13 fungsi, dan 7 lingkungan tindakan, sedangkan berdasarkan penerapan sastra tulis terhadap WSJ diketahui bahwa WSJ memiliki 6 model aktan dan 3 model fungsional, (2) transformasi antara kelisanan CPSJ ke keberaksaraan WSJ terdapat pada konvensi kesastraan, teknik naratif, ungkapan formula, kosakata, dan konstruksi kalimat. Adanya transformasi tersebut, secara semiotik, dapat dimaknai sebagai suatu upaya pelestarian nilai-nilai moral yang termuat dalam CPSJ ke dalam era WSJ sejalan dengan situasi dan kondisi serta minat masyarakat Sunda pada zamannya, (3) Munculnya antroponimi dan toponimi universal di dalam CPSJ dan WSJ dapat dimaknai secara semiotik sebagai sebuah cermin tentang eksistensi kosmologi Sunda buhun (lama) yang pernah hidup di dalam masyarakat Sunda pada zamannya.Abstract:The discussion of this paper focuses on two problems, orality of Carita Pantun Sanghyang Jagatrasa (CPSJ) and literacy of Wawacan Sanghyang Jagatrasa (WSJ). The research question is to answer  the basis of the two problems.They include the following statement (1)  transformation between CPSJ orality and WSJ literacy (2)the formal structure of CPSJ narrative poetry and of WSJ written literature? (3) semiotic meaning within universal anthroponimy and tophonimy  in CPSJ  and WSJ. The approach used in the study is aimed at solving problems dealing with the following concerns, (1) oral literary approach  and (2) written literary approach. The findings based on the applica- tion of literary  approach are as follows: (1) in the CPSJ  there are 8 formulas, 13 narrative functions, and 7 setting (spheres) of acts, while in the WSJ,  there  are six models of acts and three functional models. (2) Transformation from CPSJ orality into WSJ literacy can be found in literary convention, narrative techniques, formula expressions, vocabulary, and sentence constructions. The transformation of CPSJ can be semiotically considered an effort of preserving moral values in CPSJ into WSJ era along with the situation and conditions as well as interest of the Sundanese community.  The emerge of The universal anthroponimy and tophonimy can be semiotically meant as a symbol of  the existence of old Sundanese that was known in Sundanese society.

Abstract

This research entitled “The Manuscript “Hutbah Munggaran di Pajajaran” by Yus Rusyana (A Structurally Semiotic Study). Nowdays, there are tot much author that write Sunda manuscript drama, beside that write drama manuscript in comparison with author short story, novel or poetry. Drama to load manuscript is limited, so it is difficult ti find a book manuscript collection drama. Purpose of this study was conducted to identify and describle works of literature, in particular manuscript drama based on structure-semiotic then applied as a learning materian in SMA/SMK/MA. The description of these problem the authors, used two methods namely descriptive analytical method used in data processing, and structural-semiotic. Structural studies are used to describle the structure of the drama while semiotic studies are used to identify and describle the meaning contained in the text of manuscript by Yus Rusyana entitled “Hutbah Munggaran di Pajajaran. The data source used in this research is from the drama manuscript by Yus Rusyana entitled “Hutbah Munggaran di Pajajaran”. After the identification of the manuscript drama can be described theme of religion that is the issue of moral. Other findings based on studies semiotic is in the script “Hutbah Munggaran di Pajajaran” there are 17 icons, 15 index, and 11 symbols.AbstrakDewasa ini tidak banyak pengarang yang menulis naskah drama Sunda, apalagi jika dibandingkan dengan penulis cerpen, novel, atau puisi. Lahan untuk memuat naskah drama pun terbatas, sehingga sulitnya mencari buku kumpulan naskah drama. Tujuan diadakan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan karya sastra, khususnya naskah drama berdasarkan struktur dan semiotiknya kemudian diterapkan sebagai bahan pembelajaran di SMA/SMK/MA. Dalam pendeskripsian permasalahan tersebut, penulis menggunakan dua metode, yakni metode deskriptif analitis, dan struktural-semiotik. Kajian struktural digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur drama sedangkan kajian semiotik digunakan dalam mendeskripsikan makna yang terdapat dalam naskah karya Yus Rusyana yang berjudul “Hutbah Munggaran di Pajajaran”. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dari naskah drama karya Yus Rusyana yang berjudul “Hutbah Munggaran di Pajajaran”. Setelah proses identifikasi terhadap naskah drama tersebut dapat dideskripsikan naskah tersebut bertemakan tentang réligi yang memiliki fokus di persoalan moral. Penemuan lainnya berdasarkan kajian semiotik yaitu, dalam naskah “Hutbah Munggaran di Pajajaran” terdapat 17 ikon, 15 indeks dan 11 simbol.

Abstract

Sundanese poetry of the period 1949-1962 was influenced by social events at that time, often the problems conveyed in poetry were irony, open, open, serious, satirical, and sentimental. Therefore, the aim of the research is to describe (1) the tone of the author, and (2) the fact of humanity that is reflected in his poems. This research is a qualitative research using analytic descriptive method. The technique of collecting data uses the study of documentation and contemporary author interviews. Poetry data was chosen 25 poems from 40 poems collected based on the year of publication, theme, and the poetry of the poem. The results of the study are based on the themes of the 1949-1962 Period poetry, namely (1) love for the motherland, (2) love for fellow human beings, (3) humanity, (4) mobs, (5) philosophical reflections, and (6) death. The tone analyzed in poetry includes formal attitudes in 11 poems, intimate attitudes in 11 poems, and arrogant attitudes in 3 poems. The conclusion of this study is the Sunda poem Period 1949-1962 raised about (1) love in the land of water / land Sunda, (2) love for fellow human beings, (3) humanity, philosophical contemplation, (3) hordes, (5) philosophical reflections, and (6) death. AbstrakSajak Sunda periode 1949-1962 dipengaruhi oleh kejadian sosial pada masa itu, seringkali masalah yang disampaikan dalam sajak yaitu ironi, terbuka, terbuka, serius, satir, dan sentimental. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan (1) tone/nada pengarang, dan (2) fakta kemanusiaan yang tergambar dalam sajak-sajaknya. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik. Teknik mengumpulkan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi dan wawancara pengarang sezaman. Data sajak dipilih 25 sajak dari 40 sajak yang dikumpulkan berdasarkan pada tahun terbit, tema, dan titimangsa sajak. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan tema sajak Periode 1949-1962 yaitu (1) cinta tanah air, (2) cinta sesama manusa, (3) kemanusiaan, (4) gerombolan, (5) renungan falsafah, dan (6) kematian. Tone/nada yang dianalisis dalam sajak mecakup dalam sikap formal dalam 11 sajak, sikap intim dalam 11 sajak, dan sikap angkuh dalam 3 sajak. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sajak Sunda Periode 1949-1962 mengangkat tentang (1) rasa cinta pada tanh air/tanah Sunda, (2) rasa cinta pada sesama manusia, (3) kemanusiaan, renungan falsafah, (3) Gerombolan, (5) renungan falsafah, dan (6) kematian.

Abstract

This paper investigates classic Sundanese oral literary text Carita Pantun Sanghyang Jagatrasa (CPSJ) and the manuscript of Wawacan Sanghyang Jagatrasa (WSJ) in terms of (1) the transformation of CPJS from oral into written text, (2) the formal structure of CPJS as a narrative poem and the formal structure of WSJ. The investigation employs oral and written literary text approaches based on Propp (1975), and Lord (1976) to examine the texts. The analysis found that (1) structurally CPJS possesses eight formulas, 13 functions, and seven spheres of actions while WSJ possesses six actant models and three functional models, (2) the transformation of CPSJ from oral literary text to a written text lies on the literary conventions, narrative technique, expressions formula, vocabulary, and sentence constructions, (3) the appearance of universal toponymy and anthroponymy in CPSJ and WSJ can semiotically be perceived as a reflection of the existence of classic Sundanese mythology which links human life, animals, and the environment in a harmonious ecology. Semiotically, the transformation is understood as an effort to preserve the moral values contained in CPJS into WSJ relevant to the situation and condition of Sundanese people’s interest.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan naskah, menyusun edisi teks, menganalisis nilai budaya dan agama yang terdapat dalam naskah. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif analisis dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara dan studi pustaka. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu naskah “Kitab Mi’raj Kangjeng Nabi Muhammad saw.”. Proses edisi yang dilakukan yaitu dengan menggunakan edisi standar yakni dengan membetulkan kesalahan-kesalahan kecil dan ketidakajegan, sedang ejaannya disesuaikan dengan ketentuan yang berlaku. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, naskah ini merupakan salah satu naskah dalam bentuk mikrofilm rol 34-05 yang ada di Pusat Studi Sunda yang isinya menceritakan mi’rajnya Kangjeng Nabi Muhammad saw. ke langit. Selain itu, dalam naskah ini juga terdapat beberapa nilai budaya dan agama. Nilai budaya yang terdapat pada naskah di antaranya: 1) sistem religi, 2) sistem kemasyarakatan, 3) sistem pengetahuan, 4) sistem bahasa, 5) kesenian, 6) mata pencaharian, dan 7) sistem teknologi. Sedangkan nilai agama yang terdapat pada naskah di antaranya: 1) akidah yang ditemukan berhubungan dengan keimanan (Rukun Iman); 2) syariah tentang salat, puasa, zakat, dan beberapa hukuman untuk manusia; dan 3) berhubungan dengan akhlak kepada Allah dan akhlak kepada sesama manusia. Kata Kunci: filologi; nilai agama; nilai budaya.  Abstract: This research aims to describe the script, arrange text edition, analyze cultural and religious value in the manuscript. The method was used is descriptive of analysis by using interview technique and literature study. Edition process were used is standard edition, it fix small errors and inconsistencies, and the spelled according to the applicable provisions. The sources of data is manuscript of “Kitab Mi’raj Kangjeng Nabi Muhammad saw”. Based on the result, this script is one of microfilm rolls 34-05 in the center for Sundanese studies, which is the narrated of Mi’raj Kangjeng Nabi Muhammad saw to the heavens. In addition, in this text there are several cultural and religious values. The cultural values, namely: 1) religious system, 2) social system, 3) knowledge system, 4) language system, 5) art system, 6) livelihood system, and 7) technology system. While the religious values are: 1) aqidah is related to faith (six pillars of faith), 2) syariah about Shalat, fasting, zakat, and some punishment for humans, and 3) Morals is morals to Allah and morals to fellow human being.Keywords: cultural values; philology; religious values.

Abstract

Many scholars view writing as a highly laborious task because many subcomponents are to be moulded into a single discourse. This issue is also faced by Indonesian higher education students, particularly sophomore students of the department of Sundanese language education. Therefore, this present study aims to uncover the factual evidence of whether the use of a rubric can enhance valid judgment. This process employed a validity and reliability scoring system. Subsequently, it is also significant to examine the functions of a rubric to promote sophomores’ learning and develop instruction from lecturers in the department of Sundanese language education. This study objectively assesses students’ descriptive writing in Sundanese language by considering the analytical scoring assessment functions. It turns out that the outcomes motivated the lecturers to constantly simplify the criteria in order to fit sophomores' descriptive texts, discover significant features, and incorporate the qualities into their own text insights. Furthermore, depending on the text complexity, such as intermediate, pre-advanced, and advanced writing, as well as students' writing competence and maturation, lecturers may modify the analytical rubric that moderately recommends the necessary qualities of descriptive texts or encompasses a wider component of rubrics qualities. This finding implies that the analytical scoring rubric incorporates the influential scoring method into daily activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ditemukannya jejak kolonial pada wawacan Regen Boncel bupati Caringin yang merupakan karya sastra Sunda klasik. Dalam wawacan ini diceritakan seorang tokoh bernama Boncel yang asalnya hidup sengsara, tetapi karena dipercaya dan diangkat anak oleh Tuan Asisten Residen, akhirnya dia bisa menjadi seorang bupati di Caringin. Namun, karena durhaka pada ibunya, di akhir kisah hidupnya, Si Boncel menjadi celaka dan sengsara. Secara deksriptif-kualitatif, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan struktur formal, struktur naratif, dan unsur poskolonial (mimikri, hipokritas, hibriditas, dan ambivalensi) yang terdapat dalam wawacan Regen Boncel Bupati Caringin karya H.S. Ranggawaluja. Hasilnya dapat disimpulkan bahwa struktur yang terdapat dalam wawacan tersebut sudah lengkap, yang meliputi struktur formal (guru lagu dan guru wilangan, watak pupuh, dan sasmita pupuh), struktur naratif (alur, motif cerita, pelaku, latar, dan tema). Selanjutnya, dalam wawacan ini juga ditemukan adanya unsur poskolonial yang meliputi mimikri, hipokritas, hibriditas, dan ambivalensi.

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) is motivated by the lack of authentic learning media for Sundanese subjects. Types of media in learning Sundanese including factual, conceptual, principal, and procedural. Recently, it was difficult for teachers to implement the type of factual material. It was caused by unskilled factor on processing learning materials in the Curriculum 2013 Revised 2017 based on competency basis and competency core (KIKD) of Mulok Sundanese Language with authentic materials in authentic learning. Based on the analysis of the situation that became the background of the problem, the purpose of this community services was to improve the skills of selecting and compiling authentic learning materials for Sundanese language teachers in Pangandaran Regency. The methods of this community services were hybrid learning with explanation, question and answer, and workshop techniques. The target is teachers as members Teacher Working Group (MGMP) of Sundanese language in junior high schools and senior high schools in Pangandaran Regency. The targets attended were 40 people at face to face meeting, and 260 people at online meeting. The meeting was located at Grand Mutiara Pangandaran Hotel hall. The materials presented including three topics i.e. 1) Social Media-Based Teaching Materials, 2) Digital Applications for Sundanese Language Learning, and 3) Evaluation of Authentic Learning. The results of this community services are 1) the targets gain knowledge on how to manage Sundanese language learning in the 21st century by utilizing modern technology; 2) the targets have skills to select and compile authentic materials and their evaluation in accordance with competency basis and competency core as well as the students needs at every level of education.
