Abstract

Cerita tentang tokoh Panji sudah populer di Asia Tenggara, bahkan sudah masuk ke dalam Memory of the World (MoW) UNESCO pada tahun 2017. Di Palembang terdapat Panji Angreni, di Bali ada Malat, di Makassar ada Hikayat Cekele, di Melayu ada Hikayat Panji Kuda Semirang, di Kamboja ada Cerita Panji Kamboja, dan dalam sastra Jawa terdapat 140 judul tentang kisah Panji. Terdapatnya cerita Panji dalam bahasa Sunda merupakan suatu hal yang tidak disangka-sangka. Naskah Wawacan Panji Asmara Ningrat merupakan salah satu cerita Panji versi bahasa Sunda, meskipun naskah ini merupakan hasil gubahan dari bahasa Melayu. Hal tersebut menegaskan bahwa cerita Panji tidak populer di pulau Jawa bagian barat, khususnya di wilayah Priangan. Oleh karena itu, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan naskah Wawacan Panji Asmara Ningrat dan mengungkap struktur formal serta struktur naratifnya.  Metode yang digunakan yaitu kajian filologis dengan edisi naskah tunggal dan metode deskriptif-analitis untuk mengkaji strukturnya. Teknik yang digunakan ialah studi pustaka dan studi dokumentasi, sedangkan pendekatan penelitiannya menggunakan kualitatif. Hasil kajian ini berupa deskripsi naskah yang sekaligus menunjukkan bahwa isi teks wawacan tersebut cukup lengkap, tetapi struktur formalnya kurang lengkap, sedangkan struktur naratif cukup lengkap.The story of Panji is widely known throughout Southeast Asia and was included in UNESCO’s Memory of the World (MoW) register in 2017. In Palembang it appears as Panji Angreni, in Bali as Malat, in Makassar as Hikayat Cekele, in Malay literature as Hikayat Panji Kuda Semirang, and in Cambodia as Cerita Panji Kamboja. In Javanese literature alone, there are 140 versions of the Panji tales. The existence of a Panji story in the Sundanese language is therefore unexpected. The manuscript Wawacan Panji Asmara Ningrat is a Sundanese version of the Panji story, though adapted from the Malay language. This indicates that Panji stories were not widely popular in western Java, especially in the Priangan region. Accordingly, this study aims to describe the Wawacan Panji Asmara Ningrat manuscript and to reveal its formal and narrative structures. The research employs philological methods using a single-manuscript edition and a descriptive-analytic approach to examine its structure. Techniques used include library and documentation studies, with a qualitative research approach. The results show that the text of the Wawacan is relatively complete in content, although its formal structure is incomplete, while its narrative structure is adequately developed.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the educational values of local wisdom of dasakreta, dasaindria, dasakalesa, dasamarga, dasapasanta, and dasaprebakti which are covered with the grand concept of tri tangtu di bumi (three provisions on earth; tangtu telu), and aims to develop a learning model based on local wisdom education (ethnopedagogy) from the ancient Sundanese manuscript Sanghyang Siksa Kandang Karesian (1518 AD). The method applied in this study is a descriptive method of critical analysis of the manuscript with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the values of local wisdom education in the ancient Sundanese manuscript of Sanghyang Siksa Kandang Karesian 1518 AD are closely related to the purpose of life and the postulate of the Sundanese people, namely inhale bagja, safe, tingtrim, ngahenang-ngahening, subul darajat, ngeunah angen-ngeunah angeun, sampurna world ahérat, hurip, sane, cageur, bageur, true, smart, honest, ludeung, silih asih, silih asah, silih nurturing, and sineger tengah. Furthermore, from this research, a set of ethnopedagogical teaching models based on the ancient Sundanese manuscript Sanghyang Siksa Kandang Karesian was produced in the form of learning syntax.

Abstract

This research is titled “A Collection of Short Stories Dirawu Kelong by Ahmad Bakri (Structural Analysis).” It is motivated by the unique characteristics of Ahmad Bakri's works, especially in terms of story structure and language. One of Ahmad Bakri’s notable works is the Collection of Short Stories Dirawu Kelong. Based on this background, the study aims to analyze the story structure in the Collection of Short Stories Dirawu Kelong by Ahmad Bakri. The elements described include theme, characters, setting, plot, point of view, language style, and moral message. This research employs a descriptive method. Data was collected through literature study techniques. Selected data, namely the short story Dirawu Kelong, were analyzed using direct element analysis and structural analysis. The findings show that the theme of the short story is social; there are four characters; the plot follows a sequential structure; the setting includes daytime as the time and the kitchen and forest as places. The point of view is the first person; the language style is simple, and the moral message is that we should strive to be good children to everyone.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji nilai etnopedagogi yang terdapat pada kesenian Bangreng di Kecamatan Cilawu, Kabupaten Garut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperloleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara langsung ke lapangan dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam proses pengumpulan data adalah kartu data untuk menginterpretsikan nilai-nilai etnopedagogik yang terdapat pada kesenian Bangreng.. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Cilawu, Kabupaten Garut, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa etnopedagogi Sunda muncul dalam kesenian Bangreng. Bagaimanapun, hal-hal yang ditemukan merupakan hasil interpretasi oleh peneliti. Etnopedagogi Sunda dalam seni bangreng diinterpretasikan berdasarkan rangkaiannya. Hal ini dikarenakan etnopedagogi Sunda dapat dilihat melalui aktivitas yang dimunculkan, ketika dijelaskan makna dari setiap rangkaiannya. Walaupun dalam seni bangreng mencakup tiga struktur yaitu rangkaian, alat, dan pelengkap, namun dari ketiga struktur tersebut rangkaian seni bangreng lebih tepat tersebut. Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of public attention and concern in preserving folklore passed down by their ancestors, especially Sundanese fairy tales. This research aims to describe the intrinsic elements which include: theme, plot, characterization, setting, message and point of view of the fairy tale. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data source for this research is a collection of famous Sundanese fairy tales from West Java. The results of the research show that there is the same major theme in which the fairy tales studied carry the theme of life. The plot of each fairy tale is divided into exposition, complication and resolution (advanced and mixed plot). Characterization includes characters, characters and the way the characters are conveyed. The point of view conveyed by the three fairy tales is the same, namely, the point of view of the third person or the author as narrator. Most fairy tale settings take place in a village, a royal palace and a forest. Every fairy tale contains a message that is conveyed either explicitly or implicitly. These three fairy tales are included in the classic fairy tale category.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is corcerned with the curiosity of how and in what way the author is able to produce a work that is satisfactory for the reader. The story of past events by a human being is called experience, through certain experiences we can take benefits for the present and the future. Literary works are popular because there is a creator, the author. The author as a social being cannot be separated from the surrounding social situation because a literary work is a copyright that expresses feelings. Honestly, the author embodies all the tastes inherent in a literary work, so the author as the creator of a particular work experiences a creative process. The theory used in this research is M.H.Abrams theory wich states that the center of the expressive desire and creative process of a work is the author. The source of data used is the short story collection book Nganjang ka Pagéto by H.D Bastaman. the methods and techniques used in this research are descriptive methods, literature review techniques, and documentation studies, while analyzing them using qualitative research.The instruments used are divided into two, namely data collection instrument and data processing instrument. The result of this research is a collection of short story books written by H.D Bastaman included as a work which has a great value, because many of them ride on psychological value, life, and socialist society. From the research results also we know that a lot of aspects affect the results of literary works trough self-authorship and surroundings. Keywords: expressive; psycological; short story.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe: 1) the social background of Tini Kartini as a representative of the community group, 2) the social situation of depression that occurred in the community when the work was published, 3) the content of the text of the Jurig Paséa jeung Nyi Karsih short story collection which reflects the idea of depression, and 4) a social mirror from Jurig Paséa jeung Nyi Karsih's short story collection. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The results of this study, firstly, Tini Kartini's social background as a representative of community groups, meaning how the author's social background is related to the publication of the literary work. Second, the depressed social situation that occurred in society when the work was published, clearly existed during the Soekarno era. Third, there are four ideas of depression that occur in female characters in the short story "Nyi Karsih". Fourth, the social mirror associated with the state of society. In conclusion, Jurig Paséa jeung Nyi Karsih's short story collection has a social depression of female characters with depressive ideas that influence them.

Abstract

This study aims to describe emotional patterns using Elizabeth B. Hurlock's theory found in Ai Koraliati's novella Si Timu. This novella tells the story of a family that keeps a cat. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The data source in this study is the novella Si Timu by Ai Koraliati. The data collected in this study are words and sentences found in the novella. The results of the structural analysis include (1) the theme, which is a family that loves animals, (2) the main characters, which are Gia and additional characters Agi, Angga, Gia's parents, Eroh, Ikal, and Bapa Ikal. (3) the plot used is a forward plot (4) the setting is divided into two, including the place and time settings (5) the point of view used is the omniscient third person. The results of the analysis of the eight emotional patterns found 27 data fragments; 4 anger, 2 fear, 2 jealousy, 3 curiosity, 5 envy, 4 joy, 4 sadness, and 3 affection.

Abstract

Psychological well-being is understood differently across cultural contexts, yet many culturally grounded frameworks remain conceptually described rather than empirically tested. One such framework is Pancawaluya, a Sundanese indigenous model that defines well-being through five core values: Cageur (physical and mental health), Bageur (kindness and prosocial conduct), Bener (moral integrity), Pinter (knowledge and wisdom), and Singer (creativity and adaptability). Although these values are widely recognized in Sundanese philosophy and practice, their structure as a measurable psychological construct has not been systematically validated. This study examined the factor structure and internal consistency of the Pancawaluya Scale using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Data were collected from 305 respondents and analyzed using LISREL. The results supported a five-factor model with satisfactory model fit indices (RMSEA = 0.031; CFI = 0.985; GFI = 0.958). Composite reliability indicated strong internal consistency, while AVE values suggested acceptable convergent validity for an indigenous construct in an early validation stage. The findings indicate that Pancawaluya can be operationalized as a coherent indigenous well-being construct. Its dimensions are theoretically discussed in relation to Islamic counseling principles, suggesting conceptual alignment in moral and spiritual values. This study provides an initial empirical foundation for future culturally grounded counseling research.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji cobakan teori struktur naratif Vladimir Propp terhadap cerita rakyat ikan dewa di Kabupaten Kuningan, dengan mengambil sampel satu dari tiga versi cerita rakyat ikan dewa yang didapat di lapangan. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah sebagai upaya pelestarian sastra lisan yang kini sudah hampir hilang dikarenakan perkembangan teknologi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskrriptif, data penelitian merupakan cerita rakyat yang bersumber langsung dari lapangan, observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara digunakan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dan deskripsi analisi digunakan untuk mengolah data menerapkan pendekatan struktur naratif Vladimir Propp. Hasil dari penelitian ini, membuktikan bahwa pendekatan struktur naratif Vladimir Propp dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis cerita rakyat yang berasal dari lapangan, dengan ditemukanya 21 fungsi pelaku, yang didistribusikan ke dalam tiga lingkungan aksi, dan terdapat tiga pola atau pergerakan cerita sengan skema (α)-J-a-Z-Q-E-Rs-↑-B-↑-β-B-E-B-N-B-J-F-K-B-F-T-(X). Selain itu, struktur naratif Vladimir Propp bukan hanya menggambarkan struktur naratif sebuah karya sastra, akan tetapi dapat mengetahui karakter tokoh yang terdapat dalam cerita tersebut, seperti yang digambarkan oleh tokoh Sunan Gunung Jati dalam cerita tersebut.
