Abstract

Educational supervision is an academic activity in the form of training and development carried out by people who have higher knowledge, aimed at improving teacher interaction in the teaching and learning process. This study aims to determine: 1) the ability of the principal in compiling a supervision program, 2) implementation and 3) evaluation in supervision, 4) obstacles faced by the principal in implementing supervision of teachers. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The subjects of the study were the principal, vice principal for curriculum and teachers. The results of the study indicate that: 1) The principal is able to compile a supervision program based on KTSP by referring to BSNP. 2) The implementation of supervision begins with preparing supervision instruments and socializing its activities. The principal in implementing educational supervision involves the vice principal and senior teachers as supervisors. 3) The evaluation carried out in the implementation of supervision is by measuring and comparing supervision instruments such as syllabus and RPP design, learning methods and assessments. 4) The obstacles that occur are that the supervisor's specialization is not the same as the teacher being supervised, so that the results of the supervision implementation are not achieved as expected, and the implementation of supervision has not fully run according to the program that has been prepared, both in terms of the number of visits and the schedule that has been determined

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of learning at SMP Assalam Islamic School Jeunieb using the POAC approach (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling). The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal, vice principal for curriculum, and teachers. The results showed that in the planning stage, the school designed the learning process collaboratively and integratively between the national curriculum and the Islamic curriculum based on the dayah system. The principal, vice principal, and teachers were involved in developing integrative lesson plans (RPP), adjusting the morning tahfiz schedule, and identifying the necessary teaching components. In the organizing stage, the school established a clear organizational structure, assigned tasks according to teacher competencies, and ensured regular coordination. The management of learning facilities and infrastructure was carried out systematically and carefully by the education staff. The implementation stage combined modern and traditional methods such as lectures, discussions, sorogan, bandongan, and memorization. Teachers actively integrated general subject content with Islamic values to create meaningful and religious learning experiences. The supervision stage was carried out hierarchically, both internally by the principal and vice principal, and externally by supervisors from the education office and the dayah institution. Supervision included classroom observations, evaluation of teaching documents, and assessments of students’ academic and spiritual development. The findings indicate that the POAC approach can be effectively applied to manage integrated learning that combines two curricula. The study also resulted in a model of integrative learning management based on Islamic values in the context of Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Menelaah pentingnya peran serta tanggung jawab yang diemban oleh guru, maka perlu adanya dukungan serta kerjasama dari semua pihak baik pemerintah, masyarakat, orangtua, guru, dan pimpinan sekolah yakni kepala sekolah dalam menciptakan komitmen dan kinerja guru yang sesuai dengan standar. Kepemimpinan spiritual merupakan salah satu gaya kepemimpinan yang menitikberatkan pada bidang keagamaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua madrasah, yaitu MTsN 1 Aceh Tenggara dan MTsN 2 Aceh Tenggara. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan sistem observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan spiritual kepala sekolah di MTsN 1 dan 2 terlihat dalam praktik keagamaan, seperti melalui kegiatan "Shalat Dhuha Bersama" dan "Baca Quran 15 Menit", yang memperkuat nilai-nilai spiritual di lingkungan sekolah. Di sisi lain, MTsN 2 menerapkan kepemimpinan spiritual dengan "Zikir Bersama" bulanan dan integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam kurikulum. Pendekatan ini berhasil menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif untuk pertumbuhan spiritual dan kesejahteraan psikologis guru. Selain itu mampu berdampak pada kinerja guru yaitu peningkatan motivasi intrinsik, peningkatan dedikasi dan komitmen, inovasi dalam pengajaran, dan peningkatan kualitas interaksi guru dan siswa. Meskipun kepemimpinan spiritual di kedua sekolah memberikan dampak positif, beberapa tantangan dan keterbatasan tetap dihadapi. Salah satu tantangan utama adalah keseimbangan antara tuntutan akademik dan spiritual.

Abstract

This thesis research examines the policy of SD N 3 Kutacane regarding the use of Gadget s in the learning process. To address the research questions posed in this thesis, a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach was employed. The findings reveal that, first, the use of Gadget s in learning significantly aids in deepening students' understanding of material that they have not yet grasped. Gadget s are also used in the classroom, but not excessively, as teachers prioritize books over Gadget s. The use of Gadget s is more emphasized for home learning, monitored by the teaching staff, with sanctions applied to any violations. At SD N 3 Kutacane, Gadget s are also used for completing assignments and expanding students' knowledge, making them more creative, innovative, and technologically adept. The policy allows students to bring and operate Gadget s at school with certain restrictions. Gadget s must not be used during class time unless permitted by the teacher and with parental consent. In addition to being a learning tool, Gadget s are also used for communication between teachers, students, and parents. Parental involvement is crucial in overseeing Gadget  use at home to maintain balance and support the child's psychosocial development. Parents are expected to guide and limit Gadget  use, providing restricted permissions to ensure children do not overuse them, thus supporting their education and optimal development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana manajemen dayah dapat memperkuat pendidikan karakter di Dayah Ulumul Islam Pantonlabu, Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan analisis dokumen terkait kebijakan pendidikan karakter di dayah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pengendalian dalam program penguatan pendidikan karakter telah dilakukan dengan cermat dan sistematis. Dukungan dari berbagai pihak, termasuk pimpinan dayah, guru, santri, serta orang tua dan masyarakat, sangat penting dalam keberhasilan program ini, meskipun dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya dan keragaman latar belakang santri. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen dayah memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter, yang terbukti melalui peningkatan nilai-nilai karakter di kalangan santri. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar dayah terus mengembangkan strategi yang lebih adaptif dan inovatif untuk menjaga relevansi dan efektivitas pendidikan karakter di masa depan.

Abstract

The philosophy of education plays a fundamental role in shaping the direction of knowledge development, including science that is grounded in the values of local wisdom. Human beings possess the innate capacity to think and continuously strive to enhance their knowledge. Naturally endowed with curiosity, humans constantly seek answers to their questions through the pursuit of knowledge, which in turn brings intellectual satisfaction in accordance with the demands of the times. Knowledge is not only about understanding facts but also about seeking truth through proper scientific inquiry. Learning through well-founded scientific reasoning is one of the ways humans pursue truth. This study aims to examine the essence of the philosophy of education in the development of science based on local wisdom. The surrounding natural environment gives rise to unique forms of local wisdom that serve as potential foundations for scientific development. Science—encompassing physics, chemistry, and biology—relies on scientific methods, logical reasoning, and systematic frameworks. This is where the philosophy of science becomes essential in studying, revealing, and solving scientific problems in human life.Developing science based on local wisdom strengthens national identity, fosters ecological awareness, and cultivates learners who think scientifically while remaining rooted in their cultural heritage. This study discusses the importance of developing science based on local wisdom as a means of preserving natural resources, traditions, and cultural practices within society. Through a literature review approach, this paper explores the relevance between educational philosophy and the integration of local values in science education. The findings reveal that the philosophy of education plays a crucial role in framing the development of science that is not only oriented toward scientific rationality but also upholds moral, cultural, and spiritual values within society.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the analysis of the use of school operational assistance funds. This research uses a descriptive approach, descriptive research is research that is intended to investigate the conditions, circumstances or other things that have been mentioned, the results of which are presented in the form of a research report. The preparation of this research uses a qualitative descriptive method which is carried out by collecting data, digesting information and formulating information, then analyzing and concluding to determine the suitability of the management of School Operational Assistance. The research results show that (1) The system and procedures for the use of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds carried out at SMP Negeri 19 Takengon have met good procedures. (2) The person responsible for all activities using School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds is the principal. Where the use is carried out by the school treasurer who must be attached in accordance with accounting principles. (3) Overall control of the implementation of operational activities has been in accordance with the regulations and procedures set by the Ministry of Education, where the implementation of the use of School Operational Assistance (BOS) activities has achieved the target and is effective, timely and free from deviations.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman Al-Qur'an dan Hadits bagi mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Al-Muslim Bireuen melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pelatihan dan pendampingan yang difokuskan pada pemahaman Al-Qur'an dan Hadits. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Al-Muslim Bireuen yang berjumlah 50 orang. Pelatihan dan pendampingan dilakukan selama dua minggu dengan materi yang mencakup tafsir Al-Qur'an, ilmu Hadits, dan aplikasinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode pelatihan dan pendampingan yang digunakan adalah metode aktif dan interaktif, seperti diskusi, tanya jawab, dan praktik membaca Al-Qur'an dan Hadits. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman Al-Qur'an dan Hadits mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Al-Muslim Bireuen. Peningkatan pemahaman ini dapat dilihat dari hasil tes awal dan tes akhir yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 30%. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kemampuan membaca dan memahami Al-Qur'an dan Hadits. Pengabdian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan minat mahasiswa dalam mempelajari Al-Qur'an dan Hadits. Mahasiswa menjadi lebih antusias dan bersemangat dalam mengikuti pelatihan dan pendampingan, serta lebih percaya diri dalam membaca dan memahami Al-Qur'an dan Hadits. Implikasi dari pengabdian ini adalah bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman Al-Qur'an dan Hadits mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pengembangan program pendidikan Al-Qur'an dan Hadits di Universitas Al-Muslim Bireuen dan lembaga pendidikan lainnya.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents epistemic, ethical, and ontological challenges that require a reconstruction of the philosophy of Islamic education to remain relevant in the era of disruption and digital posthumanism. The growing integration of AI into learning processes, knowledge production, and educational decision-making reshapes understandings of humanity, knowledge, and values. This conceptual study aims to reformulate the ontological, epistemological, and axiological foundations of Islamic education in response to intelligent technologies. This study employs a critical literature review of scholarly works published between 2020 and 2025 on the philosophy of Islamic education, technology ethics, and contemporary AI discourse, drawing from both Western perspectives and classical as well as modern Islamic thought. The findings indicate that, ontologically, Islamic education views human beings as moral subjects and khalifah endowed with spiritual dimensions and transcendent responsibility, rendering them irreducible to algorithmic entities or computational systems. Epistemologically, AI is positioned as an assistive epistemic tool that supports knowledge acquisition and management, rather than replacing human reason or divine revelation. Axiologically, maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah provide an ethical framework to ensure that the use of AI aligns with principles of justice, public benefit (maṣlaḥah), responsibility, and human fitrah. This study proposes a Digital-Humanistic Philosophy of Islamic Education that integrates classical Islamic wisdom with contemporary AI ethics, affirms the primacy of values over technology, positions technology as a servant of values, and centers human beings as the core of education and moral responsibility in the digital age.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental human need that plays a vital role in shaping the quality of individuals and the civilization of a nation. In the study of philosophy and educational science, discussions on the nature of education and its objectives occupy a central position because they serve as the conceptual basis for the implementation of education. The nature of education relates to the meaning, essence, and basic nature of education, while the objectives of education relate to the direction, results, and achievements to be achieved through the educational process. This article aims to examine in depth and compare the concepts of the nature of education and its objectives based on the views of experts, schools of educational philosophy, and Indonesian national education policy. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical and comparative approach. The results of the study indicate that the nature of education and its objectives are two interrelated and inseparable concepts. A comprehensive understanding of the nature of education is the main foundation in formulating educational objectives that are humanistic, contextual, and oriented towards the development of the whole person .
