Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a period of rapid change and development, marked by the maturation of physiological functions and the emergence of primary and secondary sexual characteristics. Without adequate knowledge and education on reproductive health, these developments may lead to detrimental behaviors, such as risky sexual behavior. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the relationship between social media use and risky sexual behavior among adolescents at selected Senior High School in Jember Regency. Methods: This research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive-analytical design using a cross-sectional approach. The data collection was conducted through a total sampling method, involving 123 students as respondents. Data were gathered using a questionnaire and analyzed using Kendall's Tau B test. Results: The findings reveal that 78% of respondents have a low level of social media use, and 54.4% exhibit less active risky sexual behavior. Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship, with a p-value of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient of 0.587, indicating a strong positive correlation. Conclusions: This research shows that higher social media usage is associated with increased risky sexual behavior among adolescents. The study highlights the importance of providing adolescents with comprehensive knowledge and education on reproductive health to help them distinguish positive behaviors from negative influences, thereby reducing the likelihood of engaging in risky sexual behavior. Additionally, the role of parents and teachers in educating and guiding adolescents from an early age is important, as their behavior is shaped by the approach and supervision they receive.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Elderly farmers faced high health risks, particularly from Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), with hypertension being a significant issue. The elderly were vulnerable to hypertension due to physiological changes affecting their well-being. Hypertension in the elderly increases the risk of falls, which could cause physical injuries and psychological impacts. This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of elderly farmers and describe the fall risk among hypertensive elderly farmers in Blimbing Village, Klabang Subdistrict, Bondowoso Regency. This research used a descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population included 90 elderly farmers in Dusun Alas Lanjang, with a sample of 60 hypertensive elderly farmers meeting the inclusion criteria. Data were collected using the Morse Fall Scale questionnaire to assess fall risk and demographic characteristics. The study results indicate that most respondents were 60-74 years old (68.3%), with the majority being female (56.7%). Most respondents had no formal education (61.7%). The most prevalent type of hypertension among respondents was Stage 1 hypertension, with 30 (50%) respondents, and Stage 2 hypertension, with another 30 (50%) respondents. Results from the Morse Fall Scale showed 58 (96.7%) respondents at high risk of falls and 2 (3.3%) respondents at low risk. These findings indicated a high risk of falls among hypertensive elderly farmers in Blimbing Village, necessitating appropriate interventions to prevent falls and related health complications.

Abstract

Introduction: Uncontrolled blood pressure could affect health problems such as hypertension. Factors that cause hypertension are family medical history, sedentary lifestyle based on food consumption contains high fat, and also smoking behavior. Hypertension could be treated by alternative therapy such as slow deep breathing. Family roles as a support system are needed to guide the family member with hypertension to practice and implement slow deep breathing. Objective: This study aims to identify slow deep breathing intervention in controlling blood pressure based on research articles and family involvement in guiding slow deep breathing intervention to family members with hypertension. Method: The design of this study is using a literature review of articles using the search engine database of Proquest, Google Scholar, SpringerLink, ScienceDirect, PubMed, and PRISMA flowchart. Results: The results are showed from this study are that five articles met both the criteria of inclusion and exclusion. After being given by slow deep breathing intervention, hypertension patients are shown that the frequencies of oxygen that transmitted into organs through the blood vessels in releasing the baroreflex responds, which provides a relaxing effect and decreases the level of blood viscosity inside the blood vessels. Conclusion: This study could conclude that using slow deep breathing therapy could positively impact patients with hypertension and use family approach as primary support to improve health.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting is a problem of malnutrition, recurrent infections, and inadequate psychosocial stimulation which causes disturbances in child development. Poor nutritional management in golden-age children is still a problem in many countries, including Indonesia. Management efforts are a challenge because the dissemination of information and education about stunting is not evenly distributed so awareness of nutrition management to prevent stunting is still low. This study aims to analyze and explain telehealth as e-parenting with the Family Centered-Care approach as an effective intervention in preventing stunting in the era of society 5.0. Method: The method in this study is to use a literature review. Articles are obtained through search sites such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, Scopus, NCBI, and ProQuest as well as books that are relevant to the topic. The criteria used in searching in Indonesian and English with the publication year range of 2018-2022 for journals then carried out analysis and synthesis using the PRISMA method. Results: The effectiveness of interventions provided via telehealth with a Family Centered-Care approach is oriented towards client resources at home, but remains under the supervision of health workers. This intervention significantly impacts lifestyle changes including physical activity, health education, and nutrition management. Conclusion: Telehealth can be a new alternative in the era of society 5.0 as an effort to cut time and mobilize more efficiently so that understanding and dissemination of information is wider and more equitable so that stunting can be prevented at an early age. Abstract

Rheumatism in the elderly occurs due to swollen joints, inflammation or damage caused by damaged joints and tense muscles. These changes include the presence of disease that causes damage to cartilage, degenerative joints and nearby bones, and can cause inflammation of the inner lining of the joint. Complaints that are often felt by someone who has arthritis are pain in the limbs, inflammation of the joints, joint stiffness, joint sounds. The purpose of this scientific work is to overcome the application of rheumatic gymnastic therapy in dealing with acute pain in rheumatic clients. The research method used was a case study through a process of assessment to evaluation of nursing related to acute pain experienced by rheumatism sufferers and given therapeutic interventions by rheumatic gymnastics. Rheumatic gymnastics is an alternative treatment for the health of the elderly body and trains the ability of joint muscles so that they do not experience joint stiffness, rheumatic gymnastics also prevents degenerative growth in aging, facilitates adjustments in health. Therapy was given for 3 days with a duration of 15 minutes, analyzed to find a reduced time in 30 minutes which was carried out at least 2 times in 1 week. And these exercises are very effective and in accordance with the energy released by the elderly. Physical exercise time that is carried out for more than 30 minutes can cause fatigue in the elderly which can cause discomfort. The results of the evaluation of the use of rheumatic gymnastics in reducing the client's acute pain were that after 3 days the evaluation of the client said it was better and in accordance with the outcome criteria where there were complaints of decreased pain. Suggestions for future researchers are expected to be able to develop the theory used and other therapies to reduce client fatigue levels.
