Abstract

The use of video games in Islamic religious education is currently still not widely practiced. This is due to the idea that video games cannot be used as learning media because of their tertiary nature. This article then aims to present theoretical and practical studies on how to use and utilize video games as a medium in learning PAI. This article was compiled using a qualitative approach supported by data collection methods in the form of literature studies. From the results of the study, it was found that theoretically video games can be used in PAI learning seen from their role as a medium for transferring information and values, which can then be realized practically in several ways, including building the entire video game system, interpreting values in video games, and collaboration with various other media.

Abstract

Peran Pendidikan Diniyah (keagamaan) untuk membangun karakater anak sejak dini sangan fundamental, karena pada fase pendidikan inilah anak-anak kita bentuk agar memiliki perilaku sikap yang baik. Semestinya tanggung jawab untuk mendidik anak bukan hanya menjadi tanggung jawab guru di Madrasah atau majelis taklim. Namun juga menjadi tanggung jawab para orang tua untuk memastikan mereka memiliki kesamaan visi dalam mencetak anak yang berbudi luhur. Sedangkan pada kenyataannya banyak orang tua yang merasa telah selesai memberikan pendidikan kepada anak ketika mereka mendaftarkan anak-anaknya ke Madrasah Dinyah. Inilah yang menjadi dasar pentingnya program pengabdian ini untuk dilaksanakan di MDT Al Islah Karangjompo Pekalongan. Metode program pengabdian ini berupa Service Learning, dimana tim pengabdi dari kalangan akademisi memberikan stimulus kepada sasaran program agar dapat melaksanakan dan mengembangkan program yang sesuai, dimulai dari tahapan pra implementasi, implementasi dan pasca implementasi.Hasil program pengabdian ini adalah terfomulasikannya kerangka kurikuler gagasan Al Ghazali dalam kitab Ayyuha al Walad dan model pendidikan Islam K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid dalam bidang penguatan akhlak yang siap pakai, modul silabi pendidikan kitab Ayyuha al Walad yang dapat digunakan dan dikembangkan oleh Guru pada pelajaran lainnya, serta disepakatinya program pengajian wali santri MDT Al Islah setiap bulan untuk memberikan penguatan dan kesadaran mereka tentang tanggung jawab para orang tua dalam mendidik anak.

Abstract

This article discusses the evaluation of the implementation process of the Arabic Language Intensification Program (PIBA) at UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan, analyzes student responses to the program, and explores their expectations regarding the Arabic language learning method at the higher education level. The research approach is qualitative evaluative, aimed at assessing the implementation of the intensive Arabic language program. The evaluation model used is Stake’s Model, which includes three stages: Antecedents (background), Transaction (process), and Outcomes (results). Data were collected from primary sources (teachers and students) and secondary sources (placement test scores, final program grades, and satisfaction survey reports). Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the program improves Arabic language proficiency, particularly for students with a general education background, although challenges such as varying effectiveness and the need to improve tutor planning remain. Final grades were generally positive, but students expressed a desire for more speaking practice, a more suitable schedule, representative classes, and more varied and interactive teaching methods.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of parenting strategies in mitigating early childhood gadget addiction at TK N Pembina Bantarbolang, Peguyangan Village. Conducted as part of a Real Work Lecture (KKN) initiative, the program featured an educational session led by Mrs. Lisa Devi Dian Arifia, S. Psi, M. Psi, a lecturer from UIN Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan. The session aimed at equipping parents with an understanding of the adverse effects of excessive gadget use on young children and practical techniques to manage their children’s screen time. Mrs. Arifia highlighted the widespread nature of gadget addiction and its potential to hinder children’s social skills, cognitive development, and overall well-being. Through empirical data and real-life examples, she emphasized the urgency of addressing this issue. Key strategies discussed included fostering open communication between parents and children, setting clear guidelines for gadget usage, and promoting alternative activities that encourage creativity and physical engagement. The study’s findings demonstrated the efficacy of these strategies in reducing children’s reliance on electronic devices when implemented consistently. Parents who practiced open communication and set structured limits on screen time observed significant improvements, such as increased participation in outdoor activities and creative play. This research underscores the vital role of informed and proactive parenting in addressing early childhood gadget addiction. By adopting these strategies, parents can foster a supportive and engaging environment that mitigates the risks of excessive screen time and promotes healthier developmental outcomes for their children.

Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan pesantren memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter dan meningkatkan literasi keagamaan di kalangan remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran Pesantren Dalwa dalam meningkatkan literasi keagamaan di kalangan remaja. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus di Pesantren Dalwa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pesantren Dalwa berhasil meningkatkan literasi keagamaan remaja melalui berbagai program pendidikan, seperti pengajaran kitab kuning, kegiatan keagamaan rutin, dan pembinaan karakter. Program-program tersebut tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman remaja terhadap ajaran agama, tetapi juga membentuk sikap dan perilaku religius yang positif. Pesantren Dalwa juga menerapkan pendekatan yang holistik dalam pendidikan, dengan memadukan antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum, sehingga remaja mampu menghadapi tantangan modern dengan landasan keagamaan yang kuat. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan di Pesantren Dalwa memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan literasi keagamaan di kalangan remaja dan dapat menjadi model bagi pesantren lain dalam pengembangan literasi keagamaan.

Abstract

The book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama’ah by K.H. Ali Maksum Krapyak has gained widespread recognition as a primary reference in affirming the worship practices of the Nahdlatul Ulama group. Although this book is often used to support arguments against bid’ah practices, it actually contains texts that teach moderate values. The GP. Ansor organization, as an autonomous body of Nahdlatul Ulama focused on campaigns for unity, religious tolerance, and appreciation of differences, needs to understand that the studied book not only explains the literal meaning of texts but also conveys specific messages. This article aims to identify moderate religious texts in the book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama’ah, examine the implementation of teaching from the book, and reflect on the outcomes of this instruction. The community service method employs the Service Learning approach, establishing a connection between the academic community and academic tasks, with the goal of serving the community while developing academic and social skills through practical tasks in society. Through the service learning strategy, academics have the opportunity to develop life skills by imparting values acquired through the taught material to the community. The research results indicate that moderate religious texts in the book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama’ah are found in eight chapters, such as: Sending the Reward of Recitation, Charity and Righteous Deeds for the Deceased, Sunnah Prayers before Jumu'ah, Talqin for the Deceased, Tarawih Prayer, Determining the Beginning of Ramadan, Visiting Graves, the Punishment of the Grave, and Visiting the Prophet's Tomb. The teaching process of the book occurs in three stages: pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation. Reflection on the program's results encompasses four main points: the importance of religious moderation, the crucial role of Kiai in moderation, the significance of studying the book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama'ah, and the vital role of GP. Ansor.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the meaning of the verses of the Qur'an related to Religious Moderation from the perspective of Muqotil ibn Sulaiman Al-Balkhy which focuses on four words, namely: al-din, al-kufr, al-syirk and al-jihad. The choice of these four terms is because they are closely related to the discussion of religious moderation in which there are certain groups who generalize the meaning of the term textually, even though every word in the Qur'an has several alternative meanings that vary. This study uses a qualitative method of library research or library research. The results of this study are that the four terms have various meanings, namely: the word al-Din has five meanings: Tawhid, Calculation (Charity), Law, Religion and Belief. The word al-Kufr has four meanings: denying the oneness of Allah, denying argument, denying favors and breaking away. The word al-Shirk has three meanings: associating partners with Allah with something else, shirk by not worshiping and showing off. Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of interactive multimedia-based Arabic language learning media using PowerPoint, designed to increase student motivation and participation. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model, which refers to the Dick, Carey, and Carey model. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that the developed media contains elements of text, images, animations, and interactive quizzes in .pptx format, which have been validated by media experts with a feasibility score of 87% and material experts 98% (both in the "very feasible" category), while student responses yielded an average feasibility of 86%. The conclusion of this study is that interactive multimedia-based Arabic language learning media using PowerPoint is very feasible to be used as an innovative alternative to improve the quality of learning in grade IV of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Pekajangan.

Abstract

Background: The implementation of the Audio-Lingual Method is crucial in teaching Arabic vocabulary. Therefore, careful planning, precise implementation, and accurate evaluation are necessary to achieve optimal learning outcomes. Purpose: To describe the three main steps: Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in the application of the audio-lingual method for Year 10 students at MAN Kota Pekalongan. Method: This research is qualitative, with data sourced from Arabic language teachers, the Deputy Curriculum Head, the Principal, and students. Data collection techniques refer to the theory by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Results and Discussion: The findings indicate that the planning stage includes the preparation of teaching administration, lesson plans, and teaching materials. The implementation activities begin with classroom organisation, presentation of learning objectives, and delivery of lesson content. Evaluation is used to assess students’ understanding of vocabulary through relevant exercises. Challenges faced in the application of this method include limited facilities, low student interest, and the heavy administrative burden on teachers, which hinders effective teaching. Conclusions and Implications: The conclusion of this research shows that although the Audio-Lingual Method has great potential in teaching Arabic vocabulary, various challenges need to be addressed to enhance its effectiveness. The implications of this research include the need for adequate support facilities, increased student motivation, and a reduction in the administrative burden for teachers. With these steps, it is hoped that Arabic language teaching can become more effective and engaging for students.

Abstract

Background: Arabic education in boarding schools still faces a gap between the existing curriculum and technology utilization. Many schools have not optimized the Learning Content Management System (LCMS), which hinders the effectiveness of language learning and produces insufficient outcomes to guide students toward excellence. Purpose: his study aims to describe (1) Management of Arabic Curriculum, (2) Digital Technology Curriculum Based on LCMS, (3) Implementation of Arabic Language Learning Based on LCMS, (4) Evaluation of Arabic Language Learning Based on LCMS, and (5) Output of Arabic Curriculum Management Based on LCMS in Boarding Schools. Method: This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive study design to understand the application of LCMS in managing the Arabic curriculum at SMA Al-Hikmah in East Java. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data was analyzed using Miles and Huberman's analytical model, which includes data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Triangulation was performed to ensure data validity. Results and Discussion: The results indicate that curriculum management at SMA Al-Hikmah comprises an Innovative Curriculum and Digital Technology, integrating LCMS for material access. Learning is conducted through e-learning and applications, with evaluations based on data analytics encompassing various assessments. The output includes improved Arabic language competence and skills in IT, research, and the Quran. Conclusions and Implications: This study emphasizes that an LCMS-based curriculum can enhance Arabic language competence and character development in students. The implications provide new insights for developing curriculum management in boarding schools, helping students become more character-driven, high-achieving, and competitive on a global scale.
