Abstract

Library redesign and archive of Indragiri Hilir has vision to make the offices and the archives professionally, foremost in information service and concern about learning scoiety in Indragiri Hilir. It migh not happen without facilites which support for this situation, because nowadays is really apprehensive. It became a reason why redesign is needed, to build appropriate building and to get vision of library and archive of Indragiri Hilir. In redesign planning of library and archive of Indragiri Hilir, applying of panning approach was tropical architecture principle. Some of principles that used in this planning were orientation project, sun screen, cross ventilation and vegetation. In addition, this planning took attractive characteristics concept psychologically. From this concept, the writer develop the application of architectural character for the building. Abstract

The West Sumatra - Riau causeway is an important line for the provinces of Riau and West Sumatra. The causeway has a role as an economic link between the two Provinces so that thelevel of road use is quite high and results in high intensity of accidents. Drowsiness is one of the causes of the high number of accidents on the West Sumatra - Riau crossroads, so users need a place to rest. Biophilic architecture has the function of accelerating the recovery of theuser's condition by getting the users closer to nature. Utilization of natural materials, scenery, and natural aromas can accelerate the recovery of the user's condition. Then the main problem is how to design a Rest Area by applying Biophilic Architecture, and there are 14principles in designing Biophilic Architecture.Keyword: Biophilic, Kec. Abstract

The Malay arts and culture building in Bengkalis is a building that houses art activities and art connoisseurs in the form of performance facilities and galleries. The existence of the Malay arts and cultural building in Bengkalis is supported by an increase in the art group each year in Bengkalis and the provision of facilities and infrastructure that is not optimal. The design method of Malay art and culture building in Bengkalis uses the application of Bengkalis Malay traditional house architecture. The application of Malay traditional house architecture can be in the form of characteristics of traditional Malay home architecture in Bengkalis, namely the use of a sloping roof, stage, ornamentation, wide openings, pian tongue walls, water tanks at the front of the house, and home space programs. Dependent bee is a concept used in the management of Malay art and culture buildings, is one of the characteristics inherent in traditional Malay houses, so that the shape of the building is transformed from dependent bee formations. Abstract

Content Creator Community Center in Pekanbaru is a place of all activities in the digital and social media fields for content creators. The existence of the Content Creator Community Center in Pekanbaru is supported development of the current digital era and people's interest in digital content, this is reinforced by the formation of a community of creators and the development of a business start-up through digital media in Pekanbaru. Content Creator Community Center has the main function as a means of community, production, and social activities as a meeting place. This studies uses the Renzo Piano design principle which creates a building that has aspects of the interaction between the building, nature and its users through the design principles of the Renzo Piano. Abstract

Mitigation is an effort in the face of natural disasters, prevent and reduce casualties. Itrequired trained personnel who are ready to get down to the field who have specialized knowledgeand skills in the field of mitigation. Disaster Management Training Center in Riau is designed as aplace of education, training, and recreation in the field of disaster mitigation. This training centeraccommodate all disaster simulation activities either indoor or outdoor. The Disaster ManagementTraining Centre approaches Eco Architecture as the design theme. Not only space in outer spacebut also applying the principles of Eco Architecture. Disaster Management Training Centre toapply the concept of solidarity and humanity are qualities that should be possessed by humans.Solidarity and Humanity selected as a draft so that this region can later make a high level ofawareness of fellow human beings. Disaster Management Training Center in Riau has fourbuilding mass by applying the concept of solidarity and humanity as the basis for the formation andbuilding mass. Access the mass of the building's four interconnected in order to strengthen theconcept of solidarity and humanity in the draft. Abstract

Mall is one of the right choice to be applied in Dumai city because, the increase of population income resulted in higher consumption level, especially with the changing lifestyle of people whotend to spend money to spend and also doing recreation activities. The design approach used to solve design problems is the Tangible Metaphor approach, which is used in planning and designingthe overall expression of the building design. In addition, the application of the concept of building design is also supported by local potentials located in Dumai city, a special feature that reflects the peculiarity that is only found in the city of Dumai. Mall on architecturally is a recreation room and shopping center consisting of shopping complexes where there are buying and selling activities as well as exchange of goods and services as well as tourist attractions and recreation. Mall aredesigned in Dumai city will cause visual and material characteristics that can be felt by visitors who come, not just come to shop but also enjoy the visual of the mall.Keywords: Postmodern Architectural Metaphor, Tangible Metaphor, Mall in Dumai City

Abstract

Perekonomian dan pendapatan daerah salah satunya bersumber dari pasar. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan perekonomian daerah di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, maka dibangunanlah pasar tradisional yang disebut dengan Pasar Kecamatan. Pasar tradisional ini tidak hanya sebagai pembangkit perekonomian daerah tetapi juga sebagai sarana umum masyarakat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pokok. Salah satu Kecamatan yang belum memiliki pasar kecamatan adalah Kecamatan Sentajo Raya. Kecamatan Sentajo Raya memiliki berbagai kekayaan tradisi dan budaya, salah satunya adalah Kompleks Cagar Budaya Rumah Godang. Komplek Cagar Budaya Rumah Godang merupakan kawasan Arsitektur Rumah Tradisionali di Kuantan Singingi. Pemilihan Arsitektur Rumah Godang sebagai pendekatan dalam perancangan Pasar Tradisional ini di karenakan kasus dan sumber sama-sama berada satu wilayah. Perancangan Pasar Tradisional ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan permasalahan umum yang sering di jumpai pada pasar tradisional yaitu masalah lingkungan kotor, drainase tidak lancar, tidak beraturannya lapak pedagang, ruang parkir yang tidak beraturan. Permasalahan utama perancangan adalah penerapan tema perancangan pada perancangan pasar tradisional.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPekanbaru sebagai Ibu Kota dari Provinsi Riau belum adanya fasilitas yang mampu memberikan pelayan secara lengkap terhadap anak penyandang disabilitas berupa pendidikan non formal dan terapi. Hal ini juga tertera dalam UUD No 4 Th 2007 bahwa anak disabilitas belum optimal dalam pemperoleh pelayanan yang dibutuhkan kerena kemudahan aksesibilitas belum dapat dipenuhi. Tujuan dari perancangan Pekanbaru developmental children of disability ini mampu memberikan fasilitas dan layanan pendidikan nonformal serta terapi yang dibutuhkan oleh anak penyandang disabilitas baik secara fisik maupun mental, serta dengan penerapan prinsip desain Richard Meier  dapat memberikan pengaruh dan dampak pisikologi yang baik bagi anak disabilitas.  Jurnal ini membahas tentang karakter anak disabilitas, jenis edukasi dan terapi yang dibutuhkan anak disabilitas serta cara penanganan anak disabilitas, serta hubungan fungsi terhadap tema perancangan. Manfaat pada perancangan pekanbaru developmental children of disability bahwa adanya wadah yang mampu memberikan fasilitas dan mewadahi kebutuhan yang beragam oleh anak penyandang disabilitas, dengan menggunakan prinsip desain Richard Meier dapat mempermudah aktivitas anak disabilitas berada di bangunan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa pengamatan, wawancara dan data literatur. Pekanbaru developmental children of disability ini muncul sebagai jawaban ketidak setaraan kesempatan yang terjadi pada anak penyandang disabilitas. Pada perancangan ini terdiri dari fasilitas pendidikan nonformal berupa edukasi, pelatihan dan penampilan, seta terapi yang dibutuhan anak disabilitas yang terdiri dari indoor dan outdoor yang berupa healing garden. Dengan menerapkan karakter desain Richard Meier serta penerapan standar khusus yang dibutuhkan oleh anak penyandang disabilitas yang mampu memberikan kenyamanan rancangan terhadap pengguna. Pada perancangan ini merapkan konsep friendly interacation yang didapatkan dari keterkaitan fungsi serta tema pada rancangan. ABSTRACTThe basics Pekanbaru as the capital of Riau Province has no facilities that can provide a complete service to children with disabilities in the form of non-formal education and therapy. This is also stated in the Constitution No. 4 of 2007 that children with disabilities have not been optimal in obtaining the services needed because the accessibility has not been fulfilled. The purpose of designing Pekanbaru developmental is able to provide non-formal education facilities and services and therapies needed by children with disabilities both physically and mentally, and with the application of Richard Meier design principles can provide a good psychological impact and impact on children with disabilities. This journal discusses the character of children with disabilities, the types of education and therapy children with disabilities and how to handle children with disabilities, and the relationship of functions to the design theme. The benefit of the design of the developmental children of disability week is that a container that is able to provide facilities and accommodate the diverse children with disabilities, using Richard Meier's design principles can facilitate the activities of children with disabilities in buildings. The research method used in the form of observations, interviews, and literature data. Pekanbaru developmental emerged as an answer to the inequality of opportunity that occurs in children with disabilities. this design consists of non-formal education facilities in the form of education, training, and appearance, and therapy needs of children with disabilities consisting of indoor and outdoor in the form of a healing garden.  Character design of Richard Meier and the application of special standards required by children with disabilities who are able to provide design comfort to the user. this design apply the concept of friendly interaction obtained from the interrelation of functions and themes in the design.

Abstract

Pekanbaru merupakan salah satu pusat ekonomi terbesar di Sumatra, sehingga meningkatnya kegiatan penduduk di segala bidang, salah satunya olahraga. Berdasarkan data RPJMD Pekanbaru tahun 2012-2017, infrastruktur olahraga di Pekanbaru masih kurang  dimana hanya tersedia 0,82 gedung olahraga setiap 10.000 penduduk. Dengan sangat terbatasnya fasilitas untuk menunjang kegiatan olahraga di kota Pekanbaru, maka dibutuhkan sarana olahraga yang mampu menampung berbagai kegiatan olahraga. Sport center dapat mewadahi berbagai kegiatan olahraga dalam satu fungsi bangunan sehingga merupakan solusi yang tepat dalam pengembangan infrastruktur olahraga di Pekanbaru. Arsitektur High Tech dipilih karena melambangkan keterbukaan terhadap desainnya, sehingga memberikan daya tarik terhadap lingkungan sekitar yang dibutuhkan Sport Center dalam memunculkan semangat berolahraga. Sport Center ini diharapkan bisa menjadi sarana olahraga yang diminati masyarakat dalam memfasilitasi berbagai kegiatan olahraga yang terintegrasi dan juga dapat dijadikan sebagai tempat rekreasi baru bagi masyarakat. Pekanbaru is one of the largest economic centers in Sumatra, so there is an increase in population activities in all fields, one of which is sports. Based on data from the 2012-2017 Pekanbaru RPJMD, sports infrastructure in Pekanbaru is still lacking where there are only 0.82 sports buildings per 10,000 population. With very limited facilities to support sports activities in the city of Pekanbaru, we need sports facilities that can accommodate a variety of sports activities. Sport Centers can accommodate a variety of sports activities in one building function so that it is the right solution in developing sports infrastructure in Pekanbaru. The Architecture High Tech was chosen because it symbolizes openness to its design, thus providing an appeal to the surrounding environment needed by the Sports Center in eliciting the spirit of exercise. The Sport Center is expected to be a sporting facility that is of public interest in facilitating various integrated sports activities and can also be used as a new recreational area for the community.

Abstract

Salah satu desa di Kecamatan Kuantan Singingi Provinsi Riau yakni Desa Koto Sentajo ternyata menyimpan pesona wisata budaya berupa Rumah Godang yang merupakan warisan sejarah dan budaya masyarakat melayu di sana. Yang menarik dari rumah godang ini adalah karena mereka berada dalam satu lingkup wilayah sehingga sangat cocok dijadikan pilihan wisata budaya yang komplit dan unik. Sebagai upaya meningkatkan minat pengunjung, Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Riau bekerjasama dengan Pemerintah Daerah berencana membantu masyarakat untuk lebih mengetahui dan mahir melakukan strategi dan teknik komunikasi persuasif melalui POKDARWIS ( Kelompok Sadar Wisata). Pengabdian ini direncanakan akan dilaksanakan selama 3 tahun berturut-turut. Pada tahun pertama 2018, kami berhasil memetakan kembali jenis rumah Godang yang ada di Desa Koto Sentajo, tim pengabdian mendampingi masyarakat membuat papan nama masing-masing rumah Godang, membuat kalender promosi, serta membuat peta desa. Tim pengabdian membantu promosi melalui pemberitaan dibeberapa media lokal, mempresentasikan hasil temuan di seminar nasional, menganalisis potensi desa serta hambatan yang dialami. Pengabdian tahun kedua lebih di fokuskan pada strategi komunikasi masyarakat dalam mempromosikan objek wisata. Dari segi komunikator, Tim Pengabdian dan pemerintah telah mengadakan pelatihan Tour Guide bagi remaja di Desa Sentajo. Dari segi Pesan saat ini telah diadakan pelatihan pembuatan web yang akan didampingi sampai web tersebut bisa di operasikan oleh POKDARWIS, khalayak tujuan juga saat ini dikembangkan dengan tidak lagi fokus hanya pada masyarakat di sekitar desa atau Provinsi Riau, tetapi juga meluas ke Provinsi lain seperti Sumatera Barat, Medan dan Aceh. Tidak lupa, tim bersama POKDARWIS juga mengadakan pelatihan pemanfaatan new media agar masyarakat bisa membantu pemerintah dalam mempromosikan wisata budaya Rumah Godang.
