Abstract

Art Painting School with Contemporary Architecture Approach is a place to learn and understand art of painting so that it can be accepted and developed in the community. As with art of painting, contemporary architecture continues to grow over time. With the same characteristics, contemporary architecture can convey building functions properly. To be able to show the art of painting in thebuilding a transparent concept is applied with the aim of using it to be able to understand and learn painting directly. The research method used includes field data collection, literature study and empirical studies. The results of this study can design buildings that are good and in accordance with the functions and principles of Contemporary Architecture, namely a solid building, the concept of open space, suitability of outer and inner space, comfort and landscape exploration.Key Words: School, Painting, Transparent, Contemporary

Abstract

Pekanbaru city is predicted to be a service city and the largest economic center in the eastern part of Sumatra island. Various infrastructures begin to be built and developed without regard to environmental conditions that begin to deteriorate due to reduced green land and increased pollution. The high rate of development of new infrastructure in the middle of the city makes other buildings seem less interesting. For these reasons, it is necessary to restructure commercial area that starts to stop working as commercial area which is not only valuable, but also has a mission to maintain the ecology to balance the city environment. The area chosen for rearrangement is located at Jl. Tuanku Tambusai, Pekanbaru with an area of 4.5 Ha. Structuring commercial area uses design methods including finding issues, field data collection, literature studies and empirical studies. The final result is the creation of a commercial area by applying the principle of Urban Farming in order to realize an area that can support economic activities, keep the conditions of the city environment and be the balancer for the city environment. Abstract

Oral and dental health are not very much paid attention to as most people failed to realize the importance of them. Increasing need for dental health institutions can be regarded as an indicationof raise public awareness of dental and oral health conditions. Therefore, it needs qualified human resources in order to provide optimal the health services. Faculty of Dentistry of University of Riau which is offered is coresponding with aplication of Contextual Architecture approach, that is a building should have connection with surroundings and keep preserving the environmentcharacteristic. Through the Architecture theme, the concept of Harmony Collaboration is defined as a collaboration between dental functions and the principle of Harmonic Contextual. The concept is applied to site pattern, mass formation, and facade. The site designed pattern is based on teeth formation, the mass of building is based on the principle of the harmonious to the surrounding buildings. Abstract

Carricature artist in Pekanbaru is need a place for them to improve their skill of showing expression in art by their carricarture painting art. Carricature art center is the solution for carricature artist whose need a place to learn, create and to express imganination in art and could be a symbol of identity for carricarture artist. Design principle of Frank Owen Gehry architect will aply to carricature art center design to rise up the symbol and a movement of art to be a big idea and transform it to be a iconic building. A big concept of designing carricature art center is “The Peoples Againts The Mighty Goverment”. The concept strategy is to representatate an expression of carricature artist whose create a critical communication by painting art. Same with gehry architect the strategy of designing Carricature art center begin from tranformation of abstractionthe symbol of “The peoples Againts The Mighty Goverment”to be a form of building. Abstract

Orchid grows and estimated has 5.000 species in Indonesia. However, nowdays there are many human activities, inflicting a destruction of ecosystem, which resulting a lessening orchid’s habitat species. Conservation is needed to maintain the continuity of species of orchids. The design of conservation center to be developed is Tropical Orchid Center that serves as nature tourism, education, and research. Since influenced by good climate, the capacity of sunlight, air humidity, and air temperature, the Bioclimatic Architecture will be applied to the design of this Tropical Orchid Center. Abstract

Promotion and Investment center in Pekanbaru is a facility of Rokan Hulu goverment aims to promote and expose potential posses by the Rokan Hulu such as natural resources, tourism sector, tradition, history, as well as the potential for industry and mining, also provides potential information of the existing workforce. The center is aimed to attract and facilitate prospective investors to access information and potential investments without visit to the Rokan Hulu, in order to improve and enhance climate investment. In addition, apart Representative Office, the center also serves as a venue for events and gatherings of the apparatus of government and the envoys of Rokan Hulul. The Rokan IV Koto Architectural Approach has chosen because it is one of the architectural heritages which is in the Rokan Hulu. Research methods used include field data collection, studies, and empirical studies library. Abstract

A public enthusiasm on music is not well-framed by availability of facilities in order to accommodate musical community in Pekanbaru. Therefore, a musical concert hall is needed. Concert hall is a building which can be used as a place to hold a music concert lively. To express music on building,design of the hall has used a deconstruction architectural approach, that is based in design principles oby Peter Eisenman. The principles are using simple geometry, grid pattern, and displacement, that are combined within harmony concept. Those have applied on site, building mass, and facade. On site, grid pattern is formed by dividing site into sections and making the pattern following main access. Geometrical shape is transformed by displacing and by following the grid pattern on site. Abstract

The advancement of the health sector has an impact on life expectancy which is getting higher and along with the increase of the elderly population. The City of Pekanbaru has the highest projection of the number of elderly people in Riau Province. This is a problem because in Pekanbaru only has a nursing home that is out of balance with an increase in the number of elderly people so that a nursing home is needed that provides an alternative place of residence for the elderly. Nursing homes with Frank Lloyd Wright's organic architectural design precedents provide a decent atmosphere for the residents, not just a home for the elderly but by making art created by the aesthetics of building design. Frank Lloyd Wright's design precedents were used as an effort to realize the design of nursing homes that could stimulate the elderly by bringing them closer to nature. Abstract

The e-Sports center is motivated by the rapid development of e-Sports in Indonesia, including Pekanbaru, various events are held means that e-Sports high enthusiasts today. E-Sports has becomea sport that has formalized and fully supported by the government, as a promising sport for athletes in the future. However, with such rapid development, it is not followed by facilities that couldaccommodate the events, therefore the center of the e-Sports aims to meet all the needs of buildings and other facilities so that e-Sports are even better. In planning the e-Sports Center, it is based onRichard Roger’s design principles about "problem-solving technology" which is how to utilize technology in solving problems and meeting the development needs in architecture. The results ofthis design are the concept of Land of Dawn, legibility, circulation, and zoning in the Land of Dawn by the Rogers principle to accommodate public buildings with a variety of activities in it.Keywords: e-Sports Center, Richard Rogers, Problem-solving

Abstract

Geographically, Selatpanjang is located on the eastern coast of the island of Sumatra which is bordered by a number of neighboring countries, namely Singapore and Malaysia, with the territory being an archipelago. Selatpanjang is very famous for its processed dishes made from sago, otherwise known as sago flour. Sago flour is processed product obtained from processing terraces of sago palm or sago trees. Sago flour has physical characteristics similar to tapioca flour. Sago can also be used as a staple substitute for rice which contains lots of carbohydrates. The demand for providing culinary facilities and processed sago snacks cannot be separated from the natural resources produced from Selatpanjang itself, namely sago, so the need to provide facilities to raise the potential of natural resources in Selatpanjang, namely in the form of the Snack Center and Processed Sago Culinary Tour facilities. The main factor that drives the establishment of a culinary facility for processed sago, is the lack of interest from the public to consume the processed sago, even though the potential natural resources produced from the Meranti Islands are mostly sago or sago starch. In addition, to encourage tourism activities in Selatpanjang in the form of culinary tours. The design of the Sago Processed Snack and Culinary Center in Selatpanjang uses a bioclimatic architecture approach which is known to be very friendly to the surrounding environment, and also to optimize the use of energy used in buildings, such as lighting, ventilation and other energy use in order to achieve comfort for its users.
