Abstract

Riau has a vision as Malay culture center in southest asia 2025 will not materialize without community for conserve and develop Riau Malay culture. One of conserve Riau Malay culture is developing of heritage such as culinary and handicraft. This become a reason to develop foodcourt and handicraft about Riau Malay culture. This place will sell all culinary and handicraft about Riau Malay culture. this place also for a picnic and gathering with friend and family while enjoying playpark. In the design, use tropical architecture like a responsive to solar radiation and rainful, cros ventilation, vegetation and roof forms. characteristic of this place use concept recreation. its like a view, color, nature, movement and activity people. it has five volumes, that is a handicraft fasilities, culinary facilities and main fasilities. Abstract

Freshwater Aquarium Park in Indragiri Hulu accommodate different types of aquatic fauna and ecosystem (natural) that provides an overview of the life of freshwater without having to dive can be used as a means of recreation, education and conservation. Indragiri Hulu as a region with a thousand rivers, has the potential of fish and aquatic plants, which is not yet fully developed and there are no facilities to accommodate its Indragiri aquatic ecosystems. This design apply the principle of energy-efficient architecture with the concept of multi expression unity of design. The application of this concept in the design of Freshwater Aquarium Park that analogy as root produce different shapes on each side of the building, penzoningan which facilitate inter-space function that applies the principles of energy saving by optimizing the air, light, and water. The integration between the air system of artificial and natural, system of artificial and natural light and the synergy between passive and active methods. Abstract

Charismatic is the science of architecture concerned with the lokal wildlife potential and the complexity of the environment. The milky way architecture was applied to buildings using the wind as ventilation and sunlight as natural lighting on the buildings.volleyball alon is one of the most popular sporting branches in the neighborhood and childern. The lack of government attention as well as the absence of the training vassels will be the leading cause of the volleyball in the batting went down having facilities and containers that would support the training activities could enhance the performance of the volleyball in the tempo.To get comfortable training centers for people who will do training are selected concept the comfort of a local stream that takes care of the comfort of a athlete and potential in the sequenced environment firs the bioclimatic approach.Keywords: Bioclimatic Architecture, Volleyball

Abstract

As a Malay traditional craft, Sumatera Songket is known it’s high culture value. With varioud of pattern, the songket has a peculiarity interesting to tourists. Therefore a facility to accommodate songket is needed to conserve and to provide information to public, in order to let them to know and learn decorative of pattern and the process of making the songket. The facility is a center of craft industrial area which produce songket. With the Postmodern Architecture approach, the concept of this center is Khazanah Songket Melayu which is defined as a high value of the culture. Through the neo-vernacularism design method, it is applied on zoning, the massing, the landscaping, and facade. This production center area has applied Songket pattern arrangement, the landscape is in accordance to the mass. While the mass has designed with decorative pattern ornament. The pattern of mangosteen, and local decorative ornament are applied to building facade in neo-vernacularism design.Keywords: Songket, Malay, Neo-Vernacularism, Postmodern Architecture.

Abstract

Riau hasn’t have a complete sport facility for fencing. Considering the fact that fencing has plenty achievement on national scale, therefore goverment should have providing a place to held all its activity. Supported by good facilities then all the athletes are expected to be more passioned to do all the training so the achievement could be increased, wether on national scale or even international. Fencing is one of sportive and modern sport. As time goes by, all the equipment and technology on the used building will be developing in no time. For that, the place that can be used for training should be developing as well to keep the pace with current era. Using High Tech as the building’s theme could be seen on the use of glass materials, as well as the building’s bone structure, expressive and modern look and shape gave an appealing vibes on the building.Keywords: Fencing, High Tech, expressive, modern.

Pekanbaru as the capital city of Riau Province which is growing rapidly has a community that has a high appreciation of the development of the world of sports today, for example is bodybuilding sports. But the people of Pekanbaru City do not yet have adequate fitness and leisure center facilities and need them to fulfill their sports activities in addition to using their free time to be more positive and beneficial. Abstract

The center of medicinal plants is a center that accommodates facilities in the form of educational and recreational facilities related to the cultivation and development of herbal or traditional medicinal plants. . Lately, in modern life, there are unhealthy habits such as consuming ready-to-eat foods that have an adverse effect on those foods that have preservatives, when sick people go to doctors whose medicines are derived from chemicals. So that the center of this medicinal plant is an effort to preserve ancestral culture in an effort to utilize medicinal plants in Pekanbaru as a safe traditional treatment without side effects. The center of medicinal plants in Pekanbaru uses an organic architecture approach which is an architectural philosophy that promotes harmony between human habitation and nature, so that in the center of this medicinal plant the building uses materials from nature, colors in harmony with nature, maximizing the potential of the site, not changing the nature ingredients. The center of medicinal plants in Pekanbaru uses the concept of life from nature which is applied in harmony with the theme. Abstract

Hallyu is a term given to the spread of Korean Pop culture and triggers many people in every country to learn both Korean language and culture. With the development of Hallyu, many Indonesian teenagers, especially in Pekanbaru city, formed communities related to Kpop. Their interest in things related to Hallyu itself such as fashion, film, drama, music and culinary. Therefore it needed a place that can accommodate the interests and talents oraccommodate the activities of hallyu communities and fans in a more complex place especially in the region of Pekanbaru which functioned as a center for korean contempory culture learning and reacreation/entertament. The design of Pekanbaru Hallyu Culture Center is done by combining the function with the principle approach of deconstruction and analyze the design characteristics of Frank O. Gehry. The concept used in this design is "Wave". This concept combines the characteristics of two different types of waves. The results of the implementation of the concept of Waves in design include the forming ofbuilding, inter-functional zoning, inner space arrangement that accommodate the main function, and on the facade of buildings that apply the characteristics of two longitudinal and transverse waves according to Frank O. Abstract

Modern dance competition in Batam increases the interest of the community and tourists about the dance, but in Batam there is not a forum that can provide facilities for training, recreation, performances, and sports. Community need a place that can provide these facilities. The Modern Dance Center in Batam is a facilities for dance activities such as, education, performance, information, and other dance applications. This method uses the Expressionist Architecture approach so the building can express the emotions conveyed and can be felt by the viewer, so the expression is not only seen from the performances displayedbut also from the modern dance center building. In addition it is not only a building that provides facilities but also as a work of art. Through the concept of battle dance, buildings can show the strengths of styles and the differences between modern dance styles. So theexpression of freedom can be seen in buildings. There are 3 functions in this modern dance center building, namely: main function, supporting function, complementary function. The main functions are education and recreation there are training studios and auditoriums,supporting functions as commercials there are foodcourt and retail, and complementary functions there are managers and services.Keyword :Batam, Modern Dance Center, Expressionist Architecture

Abstract

Advance Technologies exist everywhere these day. They can accommodate a number of informative media about science and technology that are accessable for everyone, such as students and public. In this paper, the Science Technology Park is developed in University of Riau as a facility by using Bioclimatic Architecture approach in responding to the problem of energy efficiency and environment. Application of Bioclimatic Architecture becomes a medium for learn about buildings how they respons to local climate. From this, the concept of Hidden Sciemce is conveyed as visualization of teaching and learning facilities that is not visible directly from outside the site.
