Abstract

The high growth of start-ups in Pekanbaru has resulted in a growing need for office facilities that allows workers to be able to rent work facilities. However, the rental office are currentlyless efficient. This has become one of the difficulties, especially for new start ups. So coworking space is needed as a public space facility that can function as a container for work. Coworking space is workspace facility that is used together, shared and open by everyone. In building coworking space must also be able to share with the environment.Therefore, the selection of Frank Lloyd Wright's organic architectural principles was deemed appropriate for the design of coworking space buildings. The data collection methods usedare primary and secondary data. The result of this design is the design of coworking space Pekanbaru with the principle approach of Frank Lloyd Wright's Architecture. Using case studies with the same functions and themes, as well as the application of the principles of Frank Lloyd Wright's Architecture consisting of simplicity and calmness, design style,natural correlation, natural color, material properties, and spiritual integrity.Keywords: Coworking space, Frank Lloyd Wright, Organic

Abstract

Humans will experience 5 stages of life starting from the stage of nothingness, the stages of the womb stage, the stages of life in the world, the stages of the barzakh realm, and finally, the stages of the afterlife Museum is an institution that is intended for the general public. A museum refers to a building that holds ancient history, cultural heritage, and various types of living and non-living objects. In this plan, a museum of the development of life will be designed, which will display 5 phases of the history of the development of human life so that people can catch up. The museum will be a media for documentation, education, and recreation. This end-of-time museum planning uses an architectural utopia approach that is by the function of the design. This is because life after death is a very perfect and real delusion. Architectural utopia is a contradiction in reality that has continuity with the design function. Abstract

Selatbaru Beach is one of the best beaches and a place of recreation for Bengkalis residents, this is evidenced by the number of tourists visiting Selatbaru Beach increasing every year. In Selatbaru Beach there are several problems that make the value of tourism on the beach lack of architectural touch, so from these problems came the idea to increase tourism value and economic value by developing the Selatbaru Coast tourism area. The method used is the Waterfront Architecture Approach which in principle accommodates various activities such as residential, business, commercial, and entertainment with the aim of developing the physical and non-physical potential of the waterfront, as well as providing solutions to problems and potential problems found in Selatbaru Beach. Local cultural elements need to be incorporated into the region to present a tourism area that has an identity, through the concept of "sampan jong" which is one of the game traditions of the Selatbaru people who are able to form regional images that are formulated macro and micro.Keywords : Selatbaru Beach, tourism, waterfront

Abstract

Malay people defined house just not as residence, but also as the light of life, hereditary place, anchored place of the kin, past merchants stopover and parents debt to their children. Thisresearch purpose identified characteristic and ornamen decoration traditional home building art Malay in Siak. Research methodology used through field surveys, documentation, and analysis oftraditional malay buildings such as Datuk Zein Pesisir house, Datuk Djalil house, Sharwan Hamid house, Panjang Palace, Paraduan Palace and Kerapatan Tinggi Hall. The results of this researchexplained how application traditional home building art of Siak can be applied to contemporary design by applying characteristic of Malay Siak Building like structure, column, ladder, wall, door,window, roof, and ornament of decoration. This Researh be also confirmed that traditional home building art can be an inspiration and applied to contemporary design.Keywords: Architecture, Malay, Siak

Abstract

As a result of processed product, chocolate has grown rapidly into a sculpture, clothes, hats and more. Market demands allow for more than chocolate products, but there is still minimal information dissemination about chocolate. Then it will be effective in chronologizing the chocolate products from initial knowledge, current production, to planning future production. Packaging all forms of knowledge about chocolate is more possible in the form of galleries. Chocolate Gallery is the place which is able to present the knowledge about the cultivation of Brown, as well as the results of the work of the chocolate itself. The Gallery is located in the city centre, is an assertion in its own to make an iconic building. The design uses the Contemporary Architecture approach that is authentic with the present nature, as well as the concept of the character of Cocoa's Skin. Abstract

The rise of mall construction in the city of Pekanbaru today makes up the new idea about sports facilities by combining shopping places in it. Sports Mall is accommodate of two functions between places supporting sports activities and a place to support the city's economic activities as well as an icon of city development that has not existed before. The Sports Mall character that space efficiency, building support structures and aesthetics as an expression of sports and displays an open impression that is able to connect public space inside and outside the building. To fulfill this character, it can be done with the approach of the principles of high-tech architecture. The contemporary approach is one of the solution to preserve the culture while keeping abreast of the times. So it is with Malay Contemporary Architecture through design thatremain based on Malay traditions, but more advanced, varied, flexible and innovative both in form and appearance, material use and technology used to support the latest architecturalstyle. This study aims to identify the application of Malay Contemporary Architecture in new buildings in urban areas. Abstract

Pandan City which does not have a representative library and consisting of various ethnic groups and cultures, is very appropriate to give a touch that can be accepted by all people in the design. Designing a city library can also keep abreast of the current era. Therefore, the design with the Contemporary Architecture approach is considered appropriate for Pandan City Library. The research methods used include field data collection, literature studies and empirical studies. The results of this study are a City Library design with the application of the principles of Contemporary Architecture with case studies of library buildings in the last five years, namely the application of cantilever mass, atrium to impression of open space, gratings, transparent facades and greenroof.Keywords: City Library, Architecture, Contemporary

Abstract

Coworking Space is a place where start-ups work along side each other in flexible environtment, which desks are available to rent on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. The space is in thesame line with Ludwig Mies van der Rohe design principle in function efficiency and simplicity of form. Through the design principle, concept of this coworking space design is Share Through The Glass, which is defined as interaction between outer and inner of building with glass wall. This is based on coworking space characters, such as collaboration, community, sustainability, openness, and accessibility. The concept is applied on zoning, mass order, massing, and facade. Zoning, mass order, and massing are based on Ludwig Mies van der Rohe design principle in simple geometric pattern. Abstract

Every architect have their own characteristics on design; simplicity and pay attention in environment and using an advance technology. Norman Foster is one of the architect in designing by using technology and utilizing nature for energy saving. Development Research is a systematic development effort towards designing, developing and evaluating programs, processes and learning products to find the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. In Pangkalan from the wood raw, it produces a large of wood waste. To reduce the waste, it can be utilize into a useful products, so it was a needed to build a development research center for wood derivatives. The concept design is annual rings, wich is the circle continue, to increase along with the age of the plants. Just like Norman Foster, in process of design about how the design can be sustain and how will responsive to the natural surroundings.This design will be the place for utilitize the waste by using techno;ogy in process of marking.Keyword: Development Research Center, Wood Derivatives Production, Annual Rings
