Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pada materi fluida dinamis ditinjau berdasarkan kemampuan kognitif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Subjek penelitian ini dipilih satu kelas dari keseluruhan yang berjumlah empat kelas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas XI MIA 2 SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak masih banyak mengalami kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pada materi fluida dinamis. Adapun kesimpulan dari sub-sub masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal fluida dinamis variatif untuk setiap soal, secara keseluruhan persentase kesalahan yang dialami siswa antara lain: kesalahan konsep 40,66%, kesalahan kecerobohan 47,99% dan kesalahan memahami soal 31,99%. 2) Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesalahan antara lain siswa tingkat kognitif tinggi cenderung disebabkan karena referensi yang kurang lengkap, kurang teliti dalam pengerjaan soal, tidak mengerti bahasa fisika. Siswa dengan tingkat kognitif sedang cenderung disebabkan karena referensi yang kurang lengkap, banyak berbicara bersama teman ketika guru menjelaskan, kurang memahami operasi hitung, kurang teliti dalam pengerjaan soal, tidak memahami bahasa soal, tidak mengerti bahasa fisika, tidak memahami variabel-variabel dalam soal. Sedangkan kesalahan siswa dengan tingkat kognitif rendah cenderung disebabkan oleh semua faktor yang dialami oleh siswa kognitif sedang dan rendah.This study aimed to describe the error class XI student of SMAN 8 Pontianak MIA in solving problems in dynamic fluid material is reviewed based on cognitive ability. The method used in this research is descriptive method with survey forms. Subjects of this study have one class of the whole amounting to four classes. Based on the analysis of data obtained can be concluded that the students of class XI MIA 2 SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak still experienced many errors in solving problems in dynamic fluid material. The conclusions of the sub-sub-problems in this research are: 1) The type of mistakes made by students in solving the dynamic fluid varied for each question, the overall percentage of errors experienced by students include: misconceptions 40.66%, carelessness error 47, 99% and error understand about 31.99%. 2) The factors that cause students to experience errors include a high cognitive level students tend to be caused due to incomplete reference, less careful in workmanship matter, do not understand the language of physics. Students with the cognitive level was likely to be caused because the reference is incomplete, many talk with friends when the teacher explains, lack of understanding of arithmetic operations, less careful in workmanship matter, do not understand the language problem, do not understand the language of physics, did not understand the variables in the matter. While the fault of students with low cognitive level tend to be caused by factors experienced by students cognitive medium and low.

Abstract

This study analyses the relationship between student' learning motivation and student learning independence on dynamic electrical material in class IX SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya. The research method used is descriptive, with a correlative form of research. The population is 117 student from all grade IX students of SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya, the sample used in this study was 89 students. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Values used for independent and bound variables use a questionnaire. The Values analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and correlations with the coefficient of determination at a significant level of 5%. The result of research found that (1) student motivation in class IX SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya in the good category; (2) the independence of student learning was in a good category;  and (3) there was a positive and significant relationship between student motivation on student learning independence. So it can be concluded that the greater the student's learning motivation, the greater their learning independence.

Abstract

This research is a development research to develop learning media based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller in kinetic energy subjects with the help of ultrasonic sensors and load cells that are feasible and effective. The test subjects in this research and development consisted of material experts, media experts, physics subject teachers, and 12th grade students of MAN 1 Pontianak. The ADDIE development model used in this study consisted of five stages, namely: (1) the analysis phase, (2) the design phase, (3) the development phase, (4) the implementation phase, and (5) the evaluation phase. The results of material expert validation with an average score of 85%, and media expert validation with an average score of 87% indicate that the material and tool design developed is very feasible. Then, the teacher's response to physics lessons obtained a score of 83%, with very good criteria. The average score of student responses was obtained by a score of 89%, with very good criteria, which means that the learning media based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller in kinetic energy subjects with the help of ultrasonic sensors and load cells developed is easy to use by teachers and students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar fisika berbasis karakter dengan pendekaatan kearifan local Kalimantan Barat yang memenuhi indicator valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah R&D, dengan pendekanatan four D. Tahapan pengembangan terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan diseminasi terbatas. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 orang validator dan 75 orang siswa SMA kelas X pada tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Penentuan kriteria kevalidan menggunakan uji indeks Aiken V. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kriteria kevalidan komponen penyajian buku ajar, kelayakan isi dan kebahasaan buku ajar telah memenuhi kriteria validitas tinggi dengan rata-rata indeks V = 0,96, sehingga secara keseluruhan disimpulkan buku ajar fisika berbasis karakter dengan pendekaatan kearifan local Kalimantan Barat memenuhi indicator valid telah memenuhi kriteria valid dengan kategori validitas tinggi. Tingkat kepraktisan buku ajar menunjukkan bahwa 60,53% dari jumlah keseluruhan mahasiswa memberikan respon sangat positif terhadap buku ajar dan 67,52% siswa sangat aktif saat menggunakan buku ajar, sehingga buku ajar yang dikembangkan dinyatakan praktis.  Tingkat keefektifan modul menunjukkan bahwa 81% dari siswa memiliki nilai  hasil belajar lebih tinggi dari nilai ketuntasan (75) setelah menggunakan buku ajar, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku ajar fisika berbasis karakter dengan pendekaatan kearifan local Kalimantan Bara  telah memenuhi kriteria efektif.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the applied inquiry learning to improve the students’ critical thinking skills. This study uses non-equivalent control group design. Students in this study were divided into two class activities. The experimental class was treated with the application of inquiry learning, whereas the control class was given the conventional learning. In this study, the students’ critical thinking skill is obtained through a test. The test used was a critical thinking skill test consisting of five questions with the following indicators, namely: completing information, finding and defining problems, recognizing assumptions and formulating hypothesis. The result shows that the gain value in the experimental class is higher than the gain value in the control class. It indicates that the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills in the experimental class is higher than the students’ critical thinking skills in the control class. Therefore, it can be said that the application of inquiry learning provides a more significant improvement than conventional learning. The students’ critical thinking skills show an increase at the medium category on the aspect of completing information, recognizing assumption and formulating hypothesis. Meanwhile, on aspect of finding and defining problem, students’ critical thinking skills show an increase at the low category or it can also be said it does not show any increase.

Abstract

The study aims to produce a mechanical energy prop by worthy using an Arduino Uno microcontroller assisted by an ultrasonic sensor and a load cell. The research method uses research and development design according to the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages by analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility of mechanical energy props is determined according to experts. The research was carried out in 2021, a limited trial was carried out on students at SMA Negeri 3 Sungai Kakap. Research subjects' responses to the props are also known to use response questionnaires. The validation results of mechanical energy props based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller by two media experts obtained an average score of 95% in the excellent category and by two material expert validators, an average percentage of 97.21% was obtained in the excellent category. The response of research subjects to mechanical energy teaching aids based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller obtained an average score of 87.72% with an excellent category. Overall, mechanical energy teaching aids based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller assisted by an ultrasonic sensor and a load cell have been produced.

Abstract

Minimnya pengalaman guru-guru terhadap pelaksanaan praktikum disebabkan karena pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan guru memerlukan waktu yang lama jika pembelajarannya dikemas dalam praktikum (eksperimen di laboratorium), sehingga diperlukan adanya suatu kegiatan pemberdayaan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam melaksanakan praktikum. Oleh karena itu dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan alat dan bahan praktik IPA untuk Guru IPA, khususnya guru IPA yang tergabung dalam MGMP Kubu Raya. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru-guru IPA di Kubu Raya terkait dengan pelaksanaan praktikum, khususnya pada pembelajaran IPA. Metode yang dipakai dalam pencapaian tujuan tersebut adalah penyelenggaraan inservice berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan. Pelatihan yang dilaksanakan adalah   pelatihan menggunakan aplikasi manajemen laboratorium, inventaris alat dan bahan laboratorium, tata ruang laboratorium, pembuatan buku penuntun paraktikum IPA SMP/MTs, dan Pelatihan penggunaan Alat dan bahan laboratorium IPA. Pendampingan juga dilakukan terkait dengan meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengeksplorasi, mengelaborasi dan merefleksi materi ajar IPA terpadu (mencakup aspek fisika, biologi, dan kimia), serta meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam mengimplementasikan rancangan pembelajaran yang dibuat sekaligus  penyempurnaan rancangan pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: praktikum, alat dan bahan, IPA

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) student learning outcomes after application of the model Problem Based Learning on the material light in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ledo Bengkayang, (2) student learning outcomes after application of conventional learning models on the material light in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ledo Bengkayang, and (3) a comparison between student learning outcomes after application of Problem Based learning and conventional learning models in light of the material in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ledo Bengkayang. This study design is Nonequivalent Groups Post-Test Only Design. The study population was all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ledo consisting of four classes, namely class VIII A, VIII B, C VIII and VIII D. The research sample was determined by random cluster sampling technique and obtained a class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII C as the control class. The data collection technique used is the technique of measurement, with the data collection tool is test description. The hypothesis was tested using the t test of the parties. Based on the analysis concluded that: (1) the average student learning outcomes after application of the model Problem Based Learning on light material in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ledo Bengkayang is 73.24, (2) student learning outcomes after application of conventional learning model in the light of the material in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ledo Bengkayang is 69.82, and (3) student learning outcomes after application of the model Problem Based learning is better than the student learning outcomes after application of conventional learning models in light of the material in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ledo Bengkayang

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect and interaction of the use of learning media, mathematical abilities, and critical thinking skills on student achievement. The design of this research is experimental. Data were analyzed using a three-way ANOVA analysis of variance. The results showed: 1) there was an effect of cognitive and affective learning achievement of students who were given learning using Arduino microcontroller and Proteus software, but there was no effect on psychomotor learning achievement; 2) there is an effect of cognitive learning achievement of students who have high and low mathematical abilities, but there is no effect on affective and psychomotor learning achievement; 3) there is no effect on cognitive and affective learning achievement of students who have high and low critical thinking skills, but there is an effect on psychomotor learning achievement; 4) there is no interaction between the inquiry model using Arduino microcontroller and Proteus software with mathematical ability on students' cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning achievement; 5) there is no interaction between the inquiry model using Arduino microcontroller and Proteus software with critical thinking skills on student cognitive and psychomotor learning achievement, but there is an interaction on student affective learning achievement; 6) there is no interaction between mathematical ability and critical thinking skills on student achievement; 7) there is no interaction between the inquiry model using Arduino microcontroller and Proteus software, mathematical ability, thinking skills on student achievement.

Abstract

TRAINING ON MAKING ICT-BASED PHYSICS LEARNING MEDIA FOR TEACHERS IN BENGKAYANG REGENCY, WEST KALIMANTAN. Improving learning quality is a crucial factor in the implementation of learning in schools to colleges. ICT contributes greatly to the dissemination of information materials to the world. It is one of the foundations of how important it’s to introduce and train teachers on the border to be proficient in information and communication technologies. The purpose of this activity is to train physics teachers in Bengkayang Regency to make ICT-based physics learning media. The goal of this dedication is teachers of physics that are incorporated in the MGMP Physics Regency of Bengkayang, West Kalimantan. The activity is located at SMAN 1 Bengkayang. This activity starts from the preparation phase of the situation analysis and problem of the partner and administration and coordination management with partners. Furthermore, at the stage of implementation of activities conducted is to provide mentoring to the partners through the training activities of ICT-based physics learning media generation. Steps at this stage include the introduction of ICT-based learning media, ICT-based physics media-making workshops and worksheet-making workshops as complementary media usage. The final stage is the evaluation of measuring the level of understanding and skills of participants after taking the training obtained from pretest, postest and observation sheet and designing the sustainability of the training program. From PKM activities that have been conducted, the planning and utilization training of ICT-based media learning for physics teachers in Bengkayang Regency, it can be concluded that the resource capacity is the teacher has increased. It is characterized by increased understanding of teachers about ICT-based learning media that can be used in teaching physics. In addition, teachers have been able to use Phet Simulation media and have been able to create Android applications on the concept of physics.
