Abstract

Electronic commerce relies on the trust of commercial entities that guarantee the security of data and the legitimacy of transactions carried out. The government has enacted Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, one of which is to regulate electronic transactions. The ITE Law defines electronic transactions as activities that use electronic devices such as computers, internet networks and other digital media. The basic principle of electronic transactions is trust. To foster trust, stakeholders must strive for protection, especially consumer protection. In electronic transactions, there is an imbalance between economic actors and consumers in terms of bargaining power, which can result in legal agreements that are detrimental to consumers. In addition, storing consumer data as big data on computing systems does not guarantee its security, which can easily be lost, which is commonly referred to as a violation of consumer privacy. Consumers also need to be protected through education on the legal aspects of electronic transactions related to transaction terms, transaction security, transaction legality and dispute resolution. In fact, consumer protection in the field of electronic transactions is not yet optimal because several laws and regulations still contain inconsistencies and do not cover all aspects of protection.

Corruption is a crucial problem and an extraordinary crime that has wide-ranging impacts on society, the nation, and the state. The issue of corruption certainly requires serious attention. This cannot be separated from the fact that corruption has become commonplace, where its presence can be found from the central to regional levels, including rural areas. The cases of this crime continue to increase year by year. The rampant corruption cases necessitate eradication efforts involving every element of society by instilling anti-corruption values in daily life. This can be packaged through strengthening anti-corruption character as a strategic step by educating and reinforcing mental attitudes in a structured way to foster and strengthen anti-corruption behavior. The target for strengthening anti-corruption character is universal, regardless of age, gender, environment, or educational level. As long as a person can receive anti-corruption education, this step will be effective as a strategy to prevent and reduce corruption. Educational institutions are one of the bodies that need to implement anti-corruption education programs, as seen at Mega Islamic Boarding School High School in Semarang City. Abstract

This study aims to understand the process of investigating drug-related criminal offenses based on the Indonesian Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) within the jurisdiction of the Salatiga Police Department. It also seeks to identify the obstacles faced in conducting the investigation of drug crimes based on KUHAP in the Salatiga Police jurisdiction and explore the solutions to these challenges. The research employs both normative juridical and sociological juridical methods, with a descriptive-analytical specification. The population and sampling method includes all objects, phenomena, events, or units that will be studied. Data collection techniques include library research and interviews, and data analysis is qualitative in nature. The steps in investigating drug-related crimes within the jurisdiction of the Salatiga Police Department are fundamentally similar to the investigation of other general criminal offenses, in accordance with KUHAP. The steps taken include: raids and arrests, searches, seizures, securing evidence, securing the crime scene, crime scene processing, evaluation, proof, and case development. Obstacles faced by law enforcement officers in investigating and resolving drug-related crimes in the Salatiga Police jurisdiction include: suspects failing to provide clear statements, witness testimonies that do not support the investigation, and incomplete evidence. Efforts to overcome these obstacles in drug crime investigations include: ensuring suspects provide clear and honest statements about the sequence of events and the drug crime objects involved, which can serve as evidence to uncover the crime; witnesses must cooperate with investigators by providing honest and complete testimonies to facilitate the investigation; investigators should work to find and gather at least two pieces of evidence in uncovering drug-related crimes; and fostering community involvement to assist in revealing drug crimes within the Salatiga Police jurisdiction.

Abstract

Data collected from various sources indicates that traffic accidents remain a significant issue. The Indonesian National Police's Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) claims that the number of accidents across Indonesia has decreased over the past four years. This statement was made by AKBP Hendra Wahyudi, the Head of the Traffic Sub-Directorate, Ditgakkum. According to him, in 2019, the number of accidents reached 116,411 cases, which was higher than the 100,028 cases reported in 2020. In 2021, the number further decreased to 103,645 incidents, and by 2022, only 55,777 accidents had occurred. "The number of fatalities in 2019 reached 25,671, while in 2020 it dropped to 23,529. However, the number of deaths rose again in 2021 to 25,266, and by May 2022, there were already 11,183 fatalities," he emphasized. The primary cause of accidents is generally attributed to driver error. According to the most recent data from 2022, 15,885 accidents were caused by driver inattention, 15,315 by failure to maintain a safe following distance, and the remainder by negligence during turns. The distribution of accident locations is quite varied.

Abstract

The copyright dispute between Lesti Kejora and Yoni Dores has drawn public attention due to its complexity and the broader challenges of intellectual property protection in the digital era. This study aims to examine the legal implications of alleged copyright infringement, inefficiencies in royalty management systems, and the influence of public response on the dispute resolution process. The research employs a normative juridical method with a qualitative approach by analyzing statutory regulations, case studies, and legal literature. The findings indicate that Lesti Kejora’s commercial use of a song owned by Yoni Dores without proper authorization may constitute a violation of Article 9 paragraph (1) and Article 113 paragraph (3) of the Indonesian Copyright Law. Key issues include the lack of effectiveness and transparency in the performance of Collective Management Organizations (LMK) and the National Collective Management Organization (LMKN), exacerbated by the absence of a national digital system. Additionally, there is widespread misunderstanding among creative industry players regarding licensing requirements. Compared to countries with integrated, technology-based copyright systems and strong legal culture, Indonesia still lags significantly. The Lesti Kejora Yoni Dores case highlights the urgent need for comprehensive reform in Indonesia's copyright protection system.
