Abstract

Rainfall prediction is essential for managing water resources, agriculture, and disaster response, particularly in regions affected by climate variability. This study introduces a modified genetic algorithm (MGA) to optimize hyperparameters of a multilayer perceptron (MLP) for rainfall forecasting. The MGA incorporates elitism to retain top-performing solutions and adaptive selection based on model accuracy. The proposed MGA–MLP model was tested on rainfall datasets from Australia and Indonesia (BMKG). Experimental results show that configurations with two hidden layers, rectified linear unit (ReLU) activation and limited-memory Broyden Fletcher Goldfarb Shannon (LBFGS) optimizer, a learning rate of 0.001 and 1000 epochs consistently delivered strong performance. The model achieved accuracies of 86.02% and 79.05%, respectively. These findings indicate that MGA significantly improves MLP performance and provides a reliable, generalizable method for rainfall prediction across diverse climatic conditions.

Abstract

Kata kunci: visualisasi, pemetaan, interpolasi, inverse distance weighting (idw)AbstractPrediction has been widely used in every research and field. In water level visualization system, prediction can be used for measuring water level at the dam. From the measurement, can be known the dam contour and also its water volume. The prediction can be done by measuring water level at several certain points, and used the points to predict another unmeasure points. Prediction metode used in this research is inverse distance weighting (IDW) interpolation, which were using greater weighting on neaerer point than farther point. From this research known that using 5 nearest point will result optimum prediction. This metode is used in order to get faster result because of thousand prediction will be done. Data used in this research are water level measurement data of Wonorejo dam in 2004 and 2005. The result of this research is a program that can be used to map and visualize water level of a dam. Keywords: visualization, mapping, interpolation, inverse distance weighting (idw)

Abstract

The aviation sector is one of the work areas that requires the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). Work in the aviation sector also presents various risks, one of which can occur in work accidents caused by fatigue. Based on preliminary studies conducted on Aviation Security Officers (AVSEC), there are symptoms of work fatigue. The study aims to determine the relationship of repetitive motion, workload, work shifts, and sleep quality with job fatigue in AVSEC officers. The research used a quantitative observational study with an analytic design through a cross-sectional approach with a total of 76 AVSEC officers. The instruments are stopwatch to measure repetitive motion, NASA-TLX questionnaire to measure the level mental workload, pulse oximeter to determine physical workload, PSQI questionnaire to determine sleep quality, and IFRC questionnaire to determine work fatigue. Data analyzed using Spearman's rank test and ordinal logistic regression test. The results show a significant relationship between all independent variables, namely repetitive motion (p-value <0.001), mental workload (p value <0.001), physical workload (p value = 0.041), work shift (p value = 0.002), and sleep quality (p value <0.001) with job fatigue. The most related variable in this study with work fatigue variable is mental workload variable (p-value = 0.002).

Abstract

Work stress symptoms are a condition where there is a mismatch between a person's condition and work demands, resulting in mental (psychological), physical, and behavioral disorders. Government employees are among those who are vulnerable to experiencing work stress symptoms. Based on preliminary study results, the Probolinggo Regency Health Office is one of the type A offices with a high workload, and several employees have been found to experience symptoms of work stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying instrumental music-based progressive muscle relaxation techniques on work stress symptoms in employees at the Probolinggo Regency Health Office. The method used in this study was a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. A total of 50 samples were selected using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. This study used the Short Version of the New Brief Job Stress Questionnaire (SV-NBJSQ) to measure work stress symptoms in employees. Data was analyzed using the McNemar test because the data were not normally distributed, as shown by the normality test result with a significance value of

Abstract

Occupational Diseases (PAK) in the form of pain complaints in the skeletal system that cause the work process are called Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). PT. PLN Yantek workers are at risk of experiencing MSDs complaints because the work is done manually and the work posture is less ergonomic. This study aimed to analyze the effect of implementing full-body stretch and digital-based manual handling education and to assess its effectiveness on MSDs. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 26 Yantek workers. The intervention was given at 10 meetings, MSDs complaints were measured using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire and analyzed using a paired sample t-test with a significance of α = 0.005. The study's results on the full body stretch variable and digital-based manual handling education in the experimental group showed a p-value of 0.000, which means there are differences in MSDs complaints before and after the intervention. The full-body stretch intervention results showed a mean difference of 13.27, while the digital-based manual handling education intervention showed a mean difference of 10.58. Therefore, both interventions have the same effect in reducing MSDs complaints, but whole-body stretching showed greater effectiveness. Abstract

Gelato has become a trendy dessert, gaining popularity in the market. However, few UMKM are involved in making contemporary gelato. One reason is the high cost of equipment and the need for special techniques. The success of a gelato product is largely determined by the dough used. Given this situation, UMKM should start using technology to produce gelato dough with higher quality and consistency. The design method for creating gelato dough mixer technology that meets UMKM needs includes problem identification, field studies, design, prototyping, assembly, and analysis. This technology is expected to create an effective, efficient, and high-quality production process. This technology serves not only for stirring but also as a chopper for fruit or other gelato ingredients. This gelato dough mixer technology chops the gelato topping ingredients, which then automatically fall into the gelato mixing chamber and are churned into gelato. The mixing chamber can accommodate a single production process of 30 kg. After mixing is complete, the gelato is removed from the mixing tube through the provided channel, and the results are stored in a container so the packing process can continue.
