Abstract

In the house function development there is term called Smart Home where the automatic system is applied to ensure the resident activities can be arrange in certain ways. One of the electronics device is automatic lamp that decrease human error and increased the efficiency use of the lamp to resident in that house. With that purpose, needed research where an automatic lamp system taking the habit data of the resident while using lamp to turn it on or off and apply that to the lamp for next day. There are three main input of the system that controlled using switch that consist of training switch that control the system mode, lamp 1 switch as input habit for lamp 1 and lamp 2 switch as input habit for lamp 2. The user habit data will recorded into Arduino UNO EEPROM in minutes then processed using Naive Bayes Algorithm to determine the output of relay module that control the lamp condition. The result of system for EEPROM accuracy data from 5 times test is 100% for switch 1 and 100% for switch 2 while main system accuracy for 12 test data is 91,6% for switch 1 and 83,3% for switch 2.

Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) is a technology that provide a user to interact with virtual world simulated by computer. To maximize the user experience in VR, a VR system must be able to recognize natural movement such as gesture. That's why gesture recognition system is important. Mobile VR development gets a lot of attention because of the increase use of cellular devices. One of the mobile VR devices is Head-Mounted Display (HMD), which is a display monitor that attached to the head to display virtual environment. Gesture recognition system can be implemented on HMD with controller such as Samsung Gear VR. Developing VR applications that have gesture recognition capabilities can take a lot of time, currently there are libraries that provide the ability to create gesture recognition system but the libraries only support VR Headset devices with 6DOF, but Samsung Gear VR only have 3DOF. In this research we have develop Gesture Creator Application on Samsung Gear VR for Unity Game Engine, this tool help developer to create and define new gestures and implement it to their VR application. By giving gesture through the controller, this application can record and define the gestures. Functionality of this application has been tested with Blackbox Testing and the result are valid as expected of the system requirement. This application use artificial neural network algorithm to predict the result with 86.67% accuracy. The result of usability testing using System Usability Scale (SUS) method is 65, which means this application get grade D or Good and categorized as Acceptable.

Abstract

The increasing number of tourist arrivals in Blitar City each year has an impact on the increasing points of tourist sites in Blitar. The fact that there are many tourist attractions in the Blitar region close to the location makes the tendency of tourists to visit several tourist attractions in one travel route . Tourists certainly want the optimal route with the shortest distance for their tour so that they can save time and fuel costs of their vehicles. The problem in determining the route with the shortest distance is that there are many path options that exist between locations because in reality from place A to place B only not only has one pathway. With these problems researchers developed the Location Based Mobile Device Application for Blitar Travel Planning Based on the Shortest Route by using the Traveling Salesman Problem approach to solve this problem. In the design phase it uses the prototyping method so that if there are changes to the design iterations can be carried out for the revision or improvement process. At this stage of testing, it uses validation testing on functional and non-functional requirements and reusability testing using the System Usability Scale Questionnaire. Based on the test results on the development of applications that are valid on functional and non-functional requirements and can be run on several Android devices.

Abstract

Panorama Cibodas Residence is the author's residence located at Jalan Prabu Kian Santang, Kelurahan Sangiang Jaya, Kecamatan Periuk, Kota Tangerang. Based on direct observations by the author, Panorama Cibodas Residence has 3 security officers who carry out shift tasks in 3 shift, so that in 1 shift there is only 1 security officer on guard. The only 1 person security certainly will not be able to carry out whole residential area. If a crime occurs far from a security post, then it can't be dealt directly by security officers. So to maintain security at Panorama Cibodas Residence environment need help from the residents. In this research, the authors developed SKIP (Sistem Keamanan di Perumahan) application to report threats of crime in the Panorama Cibodas environment by developing Prototyping method to help residents maintain security in the Panorama Cibodas Residence. The prototype development method was chosen because the author's previously proposed the functional requirements of the application in the form of a prototype and then were shown to residents to get feedback until they got the final functional needs. Tests conducted on the SKIP (Sistem Keamanan di Perumahan) application is validation testing (blackbox), usability testing and compatibility testing. In validation testing results is 100% success rate. In usability testing results is 100% success rate for task execution by the respondent and has a final score on the System Usability Scale (SUS) 80 which falls into the grade B and adjectiva rating “good” category. In compatibility testing, SKIP application can run well on manual testing device and in automatically testing with Firebase Test Lab on the Android operating system version of minimum KitKat 4.4 with level API 19 and maximum Pie 9.0 with level API 28.

Abstract

Besides being demanded by experts in the academic field, students are also required to have achievements. The Faculty of Agricultural Technology Brawijaya University seeks to to give recognition of the achievements of its students by recording student achievements. However, the recording of these achievements can not be done optimally because it is still done manually. Therefore, an information system that can record student achievement at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology is needed with the aim to facilitate the collection of student achievement data. This system was developed on a website platform with RESTFUL web service technology. System development is done by prototyping method that starts from the requirement analysis. Next, a prototype system was made and an evaluated by the head of the information system planning and public relation Faculty of Agriculture Technology. From the evaluation results were carried out repairs and re-prototype presentations until the prototype was approved. The results of the requirement analysis are illustrated by use case diagram, use case scenario, and activity diagram. The system design are illustrated by sequence diagram, class diagram, and physical data model. The website implementation uses the Laravel framework and the REST API implementation uses the Lumen framework. Then the system is tested using blackbox testing with a percentage of test results is 100% which indicates the system complies with specifications. In addition, usability testing was done using the System Usability Scale with a value of 78. Based on the values obtained, the system categorized on Good category with C on value scale and the acceptability range is on Acceptable category.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Akademik Mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya (SIAM UB) is an academic service belongs to University of Brawijaya that is used for college academic needs service. The topic about SIAM UB sometimes become trending topic at Twitter before the new semester starts. Twitter is a social media service that quite famous among citizen for giving opinion or thought through certain topic including SIAM UB. This research try to analyze some tweets about SIAM UB by classifying a tweet into the positive sentiment class or negative sentiment class. The classification process implemented on RapidMiner. The method used on this classification process is K-Nearest Neighbor and Chi Square method for feature selection. There are four main processes for the classification, which are preprocessing, term weighting, feature selection, and classification. The highest accuration score from the classification process is 86%. That accuration score was obtained when using K = 3 and using 100% feature. The percentage of the number of features which is used affects the accuracy value where the lower feature ratio is used, the accuration score became lower too.

Abstract

Tanaman cabai merupakan tanaman sayuran buah yang sangat penting dan memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Berdasarkan data dari Direktorat Jenderal Hortikultura Kementrian Pertanian produksi tanaman cabai sendiri mengalami peningkatan dan termasuk komoditas yang berkontribusi tinggi di Indonesia. Meskipun produksi tanaman cabai meningkat namun pada kenyataan di lapangan petani cabai mengalamai beberapa kendala, salah satu kendala tersebut adalah kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai penyakit pada tanaman cabai yang meliputi gejala, cara pengendalian, dan pestisida yang digunakan. Kemajuan teknologi memberikan banyak peluang untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan manusia. Penulis memanfaatkan peluang untuk mengembangkan aplikasi yang dapat membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan petani tanaman cabai mengenai pendeteksian penyakit pada tanaman cabai. Aplikasi yang dikembangkan memanfaatkan teknologi perangkat mobile yang ada saat ini. Layanan untuk melakukan pengidentifikasian penyakit tanaman cabai menggunakan Ximilar Custom Image Recognition yang merupakan web service pengenalan gambar. Fitur yang ada pada aplikasi disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pengguna dengan menerapkan metode prototyping. Aplikasi dikembangkan pada platform Android dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Java dan menggunakan design pattern Model-View-ViewModel. Hasil pengujian akurasi aplikasi ini adalah 87,5%.

Abstract

Study program accreditation is done every five years. In the accreditation process, there are several parameters used for accreditation assessment, including student achievement, one of which is seen from the aspect of achievement. At the Faculty of Computer Science, student achievement data is stored by the Student Affairs Section. Whereas student academic data is stored by the Academic Section. In recapitulating achievement and academic data, the study program at the Faculty of Computer Science obtains data from two different sources, they are the Student Affairs Section and Academic Section. To simplify the process of recapitulating data from the two sources, a data warehouse is needed so that data from different sources can be accessed at the same time. In building a data warehouse, the design phase that has been done refers to the Nine Step Methodology. From the design and implementation phase, it produced 6 dimension tables with 3 fact tables, they are the fact table Achievement, Graduates and Active Students. Then, a validation test is performed which results in a valid status in all test cases, and then the ETL performance testing in terms of time is done with the average time required for the execution of the ETL process is ± 11 seconds with a total amount of 32,746 data.

Abstract

In tropical countries like Indonesia, plants are commercial crops that are widely cultivated and have high selling points so that they are profitable for farmers. Based on data from the Ministry of Agriculture, the amount of chili production every year is still fluctuating, ie experiencing an increase or decrease. One obstacle that is often encountered is the lack of knowledge of farmers in recognizing the types of diseases and pests that attack plants on chilies. Based on these problems, the authors take advantage of the opportunity to develop a mobile application with the Android operating system that is useful for detecting diseases in chili plants and its control. This application utilizes clarifai technology to help detect images on input from user devices through images or galleries. The development of this application uses the Waterfall method. The validation test results are 100%. The accuracy of the test results in this application is 79%. The usability test results in this application are 82.75%. While in compatibility testing, the application can run in accordance with the predetermined Android minimum SDK 23 level.

Abstract

The learning methods used in the learning process in the formal education world that take place in schools are generally limited to discussions, presentations and direct explanations conducted by the teacher only. In addition, the use of instructional media used during the learning process in class can be said to be inadequate, so students tend to be passive in following the learning process. One of the subjects taught in the 2013 education curriculum at the high school level as basic material is chemistry. In the world of education in the subject of chemistry material about hydrocarbons and petroleum is needed by students who want to deepen chemistry. To help provide efforts in shaping an innovative and creative learning culture in schools through the use of digital-based learning media, namely educational games. So an educational game application was developed that focused on chemistry subjects, especially hydrocarbon and petroleum materials. The development of this educational game application applies the iterative and rapid prototyping method. Quality assurance results using black-box testing show that all functions in the Chemistry Fusion educational game application can run smoothly according to their functions. Usability test results using a questionnaire to get the calculation results with a presentation of 81.62%. The calculation results are then converted using the Likert scale interpretation reference so that it shows the parameter "Very Eligible" and can be used as a learning medium.at SMA Negeri 2 Tenggarong Seberang.
