Abstract

Physical inactivity is a significant risk factor for numerous chronic diseases, including cardiovascular conditions and type 2 diabetes, particularly in aging populations. Resistance training has been shown to reduce systemic inflammation and preserve muscle mass, which can mitigate the impacts of aging. However, the regressive effects of detraining on older adults' health outcomes remain underexplored. This study aimed to investigate the effect of a three-month detraining period following a nine-month multicomponent training program on cardiorespiratory fitness, lipid profiles, glycemic control, and hemodynamic status in older women. Fifty-six Asian women aged 58–70 were divided into an experimental group (EG) and a control group (CG). The EG participated in a nine-month exercise program, which included cardiorespiratory, strength, balance, and flexibility training. After this, both groups underwent three months of detraining. The results showed that the EG experienced significant declines in body weight, BMI, and cardiorespiratory fitness following detraining, with adverse effects on lipid and glycemic profiles. The findings suggest that even a short period of detraining can lead to the loss of metabolic and functional benefits from long-term exercise, emphasizing the importance of maintaining regular physical activity to sustain health in aging populations.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce a product in the form of learning media to increase understanding and make it easier for students to play the keyboard and improve the overall quality of music learning at the school. This research uses a development method in the form of learning products, researchers use the Dick and Carey model development. This research was carried out at SMAN 3 Surabaya in class X. This is development research (Dick and Carey). The research objects were 18 students in class X-1. The product of this research is Cardboard Paper Learning Media with Keyboard Keys, with a percentage of feasibility Validation by Content Experts: The media is assessed as 100% appropriate based on 25 validation indicators which include aspects of introduction, content presentation, learning and evaluation. Design Expert: Media is assessed as 100% appropriate based on 18 validation indicators in aspects of appearance, suitability, content presentation, illustrations and media evaluation. Media Expert: Media is assessed as 100% appropriate based on 16 validation indicators related to media display, use and utilization. Trial on a large group of 18 students: The average indicator feasibility reached 99.12%, which proves the effectiveness of media in learning. The results of the researcher's findings are cardboard paper products with images of keyboard keys for learning. This product has high appeal, is easy to use, and really helps students in learning keyboard musical instruments, without the need to have an expensive physical keyboard. This media allows learning to be more interactive and fun.

Abstract

Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) is an integral part of the education curriculum to advance students' physical and mental health. However, many students have not achieved maximum results in the Physical Education learning process. Interest and level of learning motivation have an important role in determining learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the influence of students' interest and learning motivation on PJOK learning outcomes at the elementary school level. The research method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of Bethel Christian Elementary School Surabaya. The sample was obtained using purposive sampling technique of 29 students from grade 2 of Bethel Christian Elementary School Surabaya Data collection was carried out by administering questionnaires and tests. Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS program consisting of data analysis requirements tests and hypothesis tests. Hypothesis testing uses the liener regression test. The research results show that there is a linear relationship between students' learning interest and learning motivation and PJOK learning outcomes. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between students' interest and learning motivation on PJOK learning outcomes at Bethel Christian Elementary School, Surabaya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of classical and non-classical guidance services and learning motivation on student achievement at SMP Negeri 4 Nabire. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with an experimental design. The instruments used to collect data are a learning motivation questionnaire and a student achievement test. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to students and administering a learning achievement test after the implementation of guidance services. The data obtained were then analyzed using the SPSS 27 program with a two-way ANOVA analysis technique. The results showed that the guidance service method, both classical and non-classical, had a significant effect on student achievement, with a very high F value (165.743) and a very low p-value (0.000). In addition, learning motivation was also found to have a significant effect on student achievement, with an F value of 99.719 and a p-value of 0.000. These findings indicate that learning motivation is a key factor in student academic achievement. The study also found a significant effect of the interaction between guidance methods and learning motivation on student achievement. Students with high learning motivation benefit more from classical tutoring methods, while students with lower motivation benefit more from more flexible non-classical tutoring methods. Based on these results, it is recommended that schools introduce and implement tutoring methods that are appropriate to students' characteristics and learning motivation, in order to improve their academic achievement. A more personalized approach in tutoring services and efforts to improve students' learning motivation will have a positive impact on academic achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan fenomena superiority complex dan narcissistic yang marak terjadi di media sosial dengan mempertimbangkan perspektif hadis dalam Islam.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, yaitu metodologis yang penelitian yang memusatkan perhatiannya pada data tertulis, seperti buku, jurnal, majalah, dan sumber-sumber lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa superiority complex merupakan gangguan psikologis, yaitu ketika individu merasa lebih baik dalam setiap aspek kehidupannya dibandingkan orang lain dan narcissistic merupakan gangguan kepribadian yang ditandai dengan perasaan haus akan pengakuan diri. Superiority complex dan narcissistic saling berkesinambungan satu sama lain dan media sosial adalah wadah bagi mereka yang memiliki gangguan tersebut untuk menujukan superioritas mereka dan menutupi sisi inferioritas yang ada.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan silaturahmi dengan peningkatan kesehatan mental mahasiswa pascapandemi dan melihatnya dari perspektif hadis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan wawancara terhadap dua orang subjek dengan kriteria mahasiswa yang memiliki pengalaman melaksanakan perkuliahan daring ketika pandemi, serta wawancara ahli dan literature review sebagai metode pengambilan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman silaturahmi yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa saat pandemi berhubungan dengan peningkatan kesehatan mental mahasiswa pascapandemi. Hal ini pun terbukti dan tervalidasi dari perspektif hadis.

Abstract

Resiliensi psikologis merupakan kemampuan individu untuk pulih dan berkembang positif dalam menghadapi cobaan hidup. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi konsep resiliensi melalui kajian Surat Al-Baqarah Ayat 286 dalam Al-Quran. Ayat ini menegaskan bahwa setiap individu hanya diuji sesuai dengan kesanggupannya, dengan pahala bagi kebajikan yang diusahakannya dan konsekuensi atas perbuatan jahatnya. Kajian mendalam terhadap ayat ini membuka pemahaman tentang keadilan Tuhan, nilai pahala dari usaha baik, dan tanggung jawab atas perbuatan negatif. Implikasi resiliensi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mencakup sikap sabar dan penerimaan terhadap cobaan, konsistensi dalam berbuat baik meskipun hasilnya belum tampak, serta pertobatan dan perubahan positif setelah melakukan kesalahan. Artikel ini menguraikan konsep resiliensi dalam konteks keislaman dan menyajikannya sebagai pedoman untuk mengatasi tantangan hidup. Implikasi praktisnya menawarkan pandangan yang mendalam tentang bagaimana nilai-nilai agama dapat memperkuat ketahanan psikologis individu. Kata kunci: resiliensi psikologis, Surat Al-Baqarah Ayat 286, keadilan Tuhan, pahala, tanggung jawab, kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This research aims to develop TKJI assessment software that is converted through the TKJI test application which is integrated via computer. The research method is research and development, namely developing the TKJI test assessment application through stages 1) analyzing product needs, 2) developing initial products, 3) carrying out expert validation, 4) carrying out trials, 5) revising the product, 6) product final research sample of class XII students taken randomly (ramdom). The results of the validation and testing of the TKJI application are; 1) in terms of the quality of the TKJI application, the material content quality is 97.11%, the media quality is 93.75 and the design quality is 98.61%. This shows that the TKJI test application is very feasible and suitable for use. Meanwhile, the student responses were 88.29% for the individual group, 88.75% for the small group and 83.18% for the large group with the very appropriate category. The results of this analysis can be concluded that the TKJI application is declared valid and very suitable for use as a medium for assessing the level of physical fitness for children aged 16 to 19 at the vocational school level.

Abstract

Due to the advancement of technology and the rise in sedentary lifestyles, which have a detrimental effect on physical health, adolescent health issues have gained prominence.  Students in the tenth grade at SMA Santa Maria Surabaya also exhibit this phenomenon, with low levels of physical fitness and tendencies toward obesity.  This study uses the Tes Kebugaran Pelajar Nusantara (TKPN) pretest–posttest design to assess the effects of two exercise models, Tabata Workout and Circuit Training, on students' physical fitness and Body Mass Index (BMI).  Direct observation, documentation, and fitness evaluations were used to gather data.  To ascertain the significance of differences prior to and following the intervention, t-test statistical techniques were applied to the pretest and posttest data. The findings indicated that for physical fitness, Tabata Workout yielded t = –1.638 (p = 0.110) and Circuit Training yielded t = –0.957 (p = 0.345), with all p-values exceeding 0.05, suggesting no significant improvement.  For BMI, the Tabata Workout recorded t = 0.290 (p = 0.773), while Circuit Training recorded t = 0.612 (p = 0.544), both indicating no statistical significance.  While minor increases were noted in certain fitness components, these alterations did not achieve statistical significance.  Consequently, neither exercise program demonstrated significant enhancements in physical condition.  The findings indicate that adolescent health issues constitute a significant challenge, necessitating physical exercise interventions that are structured, intensive, and tailored to the specific needs of students.
