Abstract

The success of farming implemented will not be separated from institutional role of agribusiness. If the role is not yet optimal then commodity agribusiness development will be hampered. This study aims to determine the satisfaction of farmers on the institutional performance of agribusiness mendong. The research was conducted by using survey method in Manonjaya Sub district, Tasikmalaya Regency. The sample used is 25 farmers mendong, sampling using simple random sampling. To know the institutional performance of agribusiness used Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), while to see farmer satisfaction on institutional performance use Consumer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The result of the research shows that for the agribusiness institution performance, the farmers are satisfied with the kiosks of production facilities, collectors / dealers, artisans, farmers, extensionists and universities that perform well in performing the institutional function of agribusiness in Mendong farming. Priority to improve the institutional function lies in the existence of cooperatives, purchase requirements mendong, selling prices mendong, farmers group as a production unit and provider of production facilities and training by information and technology institutions. As for institutional performance shows that institutional agribusiness mendong still need to be improved again in order to be able to face challenge of competition with strengthening of farmer independence through improvement of function farmers group as production unit and procurement of production means so that there is increase of added value and exchange rate from its farming activity by not apart from training application of technological innovation from related institutions.Keywords: Institutional, Agribusiness, Interest, Performance, Satisfaction

Abstract

Changing a habit is not an easy job, let alone that has great risks as they relate to social and cultural issues. In understanding of technological innovation requires mental readiness to take the decision to adopt it through a process of perception, because the rate of adoption of an innovation depends on the perceptual characteristics of the adopter of innovation that includes the company telnologi relative advantage, the level of conformance level of complexity, can be tried and can be observed. The purpose of this study to examine the relationship between the characteristics of the farmers, the communication behavior and support efforts by the perception of farmers to use organic fertilizer on crops mendong. Partially, the data were analyzed using Spearman Rank analysis, while simultaneously using Kendall concordance coefficient W. Analysis Research was conducted in February-November 2016 using the method of survey. Sampling using simple random sampling against rushes farmers in Sub Manonjaya with a total sample of 30 farmers.The results showed the internal characteristics of the farmers, support the business climate as well as the perception of farmers on organic farming fertilization mendong included in the medium category and communication behavior are included in the low category. Simultaneously there is a relationship between the internal characteristics of the farmers, the communication behavior and support the business climate by perception of farmers on the use of organic fertilizer to the level of the relationship is very close. Partially that have a relationship with the perception of the use of organic fertilizers is the communication behavior and the support of the business climate. Guidance to the farmers both individually and institutionally still needs to be done to encourage farmers to use organic fertilizer on farm mendong.

Abstract

Melon fruit has diverse varieties, and the availability of various melon varieties makes melons have a wide market share. Diverse consumer preferences also encourage the creation of various varieties of melons to meet consumer desires and preferences. This study aims to determine consumer preferences for the attributes of golden melon fruit at Taman Hati Farm, analyze differences in consumer preferences towards purchasing golden melon fruit at Taman Hati Farm, and examine the attributes most considered by consumers in making purchasing decisions for golden melon fruit at Taman Hati Farm. The research method used is the survey, the size of the sample is calculated using the linear time function method obtained by 60 respondents, which was carried out by accidental sampling. The study will be conducted from November 2023 to May 2024. The analysis method uses Chi-square analysis and the fishbein multiattribute. The results showed that the attributes of golden melon fruit that became consumer preferences at Taman Hati Farm were that the fruit has no aroma, bright yellow fruit skin color, a very sweet fruit taste, medium-sized fruit (1,27 - 1,71 kg), a crunchy texture of fruit flesh, and prices in the medium category are around (Rp.31,000–Rp.40,000) per kilogram, there is a differences in consumer preferences for the attributes of golden melon fruit, and the attributes that consumers consider in purchasing decisions of golden melons at Taman Hati Farm, they are: size, fruit taste, fruit price, texture of fruit flesh, fruit skin color, and fruit aroma.
