Abstract

Leadership in Islam encompasses spiritual and moral dimensions derived from the Qur’an and the traditions of Prophet Muhammad SAW. This study aims to examine the principles of leadership in the Qur’an and analyze their implementation in the personality and practices of the Prophet Muhammad SAW as the ideal model of leadership. The research employs a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach by analyzing Qur’anic verses, hadiths, and both classical and contemporary literature on Islamic leadership. The findings reveal that the Qur’an emphasizes five fundamental principles of leadership: amanah (trust and responsibility), ‘adl (justice), syura (consultation), hikmah (wisdom), and uswah hasanah (exemplary conduct). These principles were practically demonstrated by the Prophet Muhammad SAW throughout his social, political, and religious life. The Prophet exemplified integrity through amanah, upheld justice without discrimination, practiced consultation in decision-making, exercised wisdom in resolving conflicts, and served as a moral exemplar for his followers. The study concludes that the Qur’anic principles of leadership are universal and remain highly relevant in the modern context, providing a framework for leadership that is ethical, just, participatory, and humanistic. This research contributes to the development of an Islamic leadership paradigm capable of addressing global challenges through the integration of moral, ethical, and spiritual values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi Pondok Pesantren Musthafawiyah Purba Baru dalam membentuk generasi yang berakhlak mulia. Musthafawiyah merupakan salah satu pesantren besar di Sumatera Utara dengan tradisi pendidikan kuat, jumlah santri signifikan, dan kombinasi pendekatan pendidikan klasik serta praktik pembiasaan moral sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan informan terdiri dari pengasuh, guru, dan santri, serta teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pesantren membentuk akhlak santri melalui pengajian rutin, keteladanan guru, disiplin harian, serta pembiasaan nilai moral yang konsisten, sejalan dengan prinsip pendidikan karakter Islam, hidden curriculum, dan habituasi moral. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi antara pendidikan formal dan pengalaman sosial di pesantren efektif dalam mencetak santri yang memiliki integritas, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Penelitian ini juga memberikan implikasi bagi pengembangan pesantren lain dalam menyeimbangkan pendidikan karakter dan adaptasi terhadap tantangan modern

Abstract

Komunikasi organisasi dan manajemen pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas penyelenggaraan pendidikan di madrasah. Kedua aspek ini berfungsi sebagai sarana utama dalam membangun budaya kerja kolaboratif yang menekankan kebersamaan, keterbukaan, dan tanggung jawab bersama. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan sinergi antara komunikasi organisasi dan manajemen pendidikan dalam mewujudkan budaya kerja kolaboratif di MIN 1 Labuhanbatu. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan partisipan terdiri atas kepala madrasah, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi organisasi di MIN 1 Labuhanbatu berjalan efektif melalui jalur formal dan informal, baik secara vertikal maupun horizontal. Kepala madrasah berperan sentral dalam menciptakan iklim komunikasi yang terbuka dan partisipatif, berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam seperti musyawarah (syura), ukhuwah, dan ta’awun. Sinergi antara komunikasi organisasi dan manajemen pendidikan berkontribusi pada meningkatnya kolaborasi antarguru, memperkuat solidaritas kerja, serta meningkatkan efektivitas pelaksanaan program madrasah. Kesimpulannya, budaya kerja kolaboratif di MIN 1 Labuhanbatu terbentuk melalui komunikasi yang terarah dan manajemen pendidikan yang melibatkan seluruh unsur madrasah. Hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan kemampuan komunikasi dan kepemimpinan kolaboratif dalam mendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan secara berkelanjutan.   Organizational communication and educational management play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of educational implementation in madrasahs. These two aspects serve as essential instruments in building a collaborative work culture that emphasizes togetherness, openness, and shared responsibility. This study aims to describe the synergy between organizational communication and educational management in fostering a collaborative work culture at MIN 1 Labuhanbatu. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with participants consisting of the principal, teachers, and educational staff. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that organizational communication at MIN 1 Labuhanbatu functions effectively through both formal and informal channels, vertically and horizontally. The principal plays a central role in creating an open and participatory communication climate grounded in Islamic values such as musyawarah (consultation), ukhuwah (brotherhood), and ta’awun (mutual cooperation). The synergy between organizational communication and educational management contributes to stronger collaboration among teachers, enhanced work solidarity, and improved effectiveness in implementing madrasah programs. In conclusion, the collaborative work culture at MIN 1 Labuhanbatu is established through well-structured communication and participatory educational management. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening communication competence and collaborative leadership to support continuous improvement in educational quality.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The transformation of Islamic education in the digital era demands a learning model that is not only academically oriented but also capable of developing students' personal potential. This study aims to describe the instilling of personal education values based on the talents and interests of Islamic boarding school students through the “Santri Dream Roadmap” program at the Darul Mursyid Islamic Boarding School. The study used reflective qualitative methods through observation, interviews, participatory workshops, and community engagement. The results show that this program increases students' self-awareness and motivation, transforms the role of teachers into reflective mentors, and strengthens the synergy between the Islamic boarding school and families. The main contribution of this study is to offer an implementable framework for Personal Education that is integrated with Islamic values ​​and relevant to the demands of 21st-century education. This model can be replicated by other Islamic boarding schools seeking to develop a personalized and character-based learning approach.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the variation in the quality of Qur’an recitation among female students (mahasantriah). The research aims to analyze the management of Qira’ah Al-Qur’an mentoring at Ma’had Al-Jami’ah, UIN Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan, by examining the functions of management: planning, organizing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and continuous evaluation. The findings indicate that the management of Qira’ah Al-Qur’an mentoring has been implemented effectively and in a structured manner, starting from planning based on placement tests, clear organization of human resources, scheduled instructional activities, to a tiered system of supervision and evaluation. This implementation contributes significantly to improving the quality of Qur’an recitation among the mahasantriah, especially in the aspects of makharijul huruf, fluency, and mastery of tajwid. However, the study also identifies the need for innovation in instructional methods and the development of more standardized evaluation instruments to achieve more optimal outcomes. It is hoped that these findings can serve as a reference for the development of Qur’an mentoring programs in similar educational institutions.
