Abstract

This community service activity was carried out on the youth of Harapan Baru Village, Sei Lepan District, Langkat Regency. This activity is in the form of a workshop or training which is carried out with socialization by providing materials or modules on tips for successful investing, especially at a young age in village youth. So it is hoped that the partners have a good understanding of investing even in the village. Then the targets to be achieved through this service activity are (1) partners know what the first step is to invest, especially in rural areas, (2) partners can classify which investments have a high level of failure risk, (3) partners have awareness the importance of investing even though they are still at a young age.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the analysis of farmers' economic concepts, especially the wage system of land hoe labourers. The low wage value of land hoe labourers is a deep concern considering the amount of energy expended by farmers in spending their potential throughout the day on the farm. In this context, the use of mathematical ethnoscience in human life is something that may not be clearly observed. This study becomes very interesting, when the awareness of local power to apply mathematical concepts is realised as an amplifier of human needs in solving their life problems. Life's problems are increasingly complicated in the construction of inevitable needs. This research method is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. This research operationally examines various sources of literature relevant to the above research context. This research is qualitative descriptive research using the content analysis method to obtain the results that in the use of hoes there are several physics concepts about mechanics including the concepts of force, rotational dynamics, work and energy. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that there are several physics concepts in the use of hoes in cultivating the soil starting from the mechanical advantages of using a hoe, the moment of force when swinging a hoe, the compressive force exerted by the hoe, the lifting force when lifting the soil, the pulling force when pulling the soil, and the effort and energy expended during hoeing activities.

Abstract

Impian memiliki karyawan baik dalam menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya sangat diharapkan khsususnya bagi para pemegang saham. Upaya meningkatkan kinerja karyawan mutlak dilakukan dalam pencapaian tujuan perusahaan. Fokus utama dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kemudian populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu karyawan pada PT. Astra Credit Companies Cabang Medan yang berjumlah 40 responden sedangkan teknik penentuan dengan sampel jenuh. Terakhir analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara parsial dan simultan variabel gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Gaya kepemimpinan merupakan variabel yang memiliki sumbangan pengaruh paling besar dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Hal ini dapat dinyatakan bahwa ketika gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi semakin ditingkatkan maka hal ini akan berdampak pada meningkatkan kienraj karyawan pada PT. Astra Credit Companies Cabang Medan.

Abstract

This study supposed to analyze the influence of communication and organizational culture on job satisfaction. Population in this study employees at PT. Mitra Agung Swastika, with a total of 80 respondents. Data collection methods using interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using multiple regression. The results showed that communication has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, communication and organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and the coefficient of determination of the variation of the dependent variable is communication and organizational culture has a contribution to job satisfaction at PT. The Grand counterpart of the Swastika in the category of strong.

Abstract

This study explores the role of burnout as a mediating variable in the relationship between cultural openness, servant leadership, and lecturers’ job satisfaction at Institut Bisnis Informasi Teknologi dan Bisnis, Medan City. In higher education, cultural openness and servant leadership are essential factors contributing to job satisfaction. However, high workloads can lead to burnout, potentially diminishing the positive effects of both factors. This study employs a quantitative approach, using a survey conducted with 51 lecturers as respondents. The results indicate that cultural openness significantly affects job satisfaction, reinforcing the importance of transparent communication and respect for diversity in fostering a supportive work environment. Conversely, servant leadership does not significantly affect job satisfaction or burnout, suggesting that this leadership style is less effective in the context of this study. Additionally, burnout does not significantly influence job satisfaction directly or as a mediating variable. These findings underscore the need to strengthen cultural openness as a key factor in enhancing lecturer job satisfaction. Furthermore, this study offers theoretical contributions to understanding the relationship between organizational culture, leadership, burnout, and job satisfaction while providing practical insights for policy development in higher education institutions.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve financial literacy among junior high school students through training in saving habits and personal financial planning. Targeting students at SMP Hang Tuah Medan, the program introduces basic financial concepts such as budgeting, distinguishing needs from wants, setting financial goals, and managing allowances. The method used combines interactive workshops, simulations, and group discussions to foster a fun and engaging learning experience. Through this initiative, students are expected to develop awareness of financial responsibility from an early age and apply simple financial management practices in their daily lives. The program also supports the development of life skills and contributes to character education by promoting discipline, self-control, and decision-making. The outcome of the activity indicates a significant improvement in students’ understanding and attitudes toward money management. This initiative highlights the importance of integrating financial literacy education into the school environment to build a financially literate generation

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the impact of learning motivation and self-efficacy on students' comprehension of accounting at the Institute of Information Technology and Business. Motivation for learning and self-efficacy are two critical psychological elements that are thought to influence academic performance, particularly in accounting disciplines that are sometimes seen as intricate. This research employs a quantitative methodology via a survey technique. Data were gathered from 85 accounting students via a questionnaire structured on a Likert scale. We performed data analysis utilizing multiple linear regression to assess the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The findings indicated that learning motivation and self-efficacy had a favorable and substantial influence on accounting comprehension. Our findings indicate that learning motivation exerted a more significant influence than self-efficacy; nonetheless, both factors concurrently enhanced students' comprehension of accounting concepts. These findings emphasize the necessity of formulating instructional techniques that enhance students' learning motivation and self-efficacy to augment their comprehension of accounting. This study offers pragmatic advice for educators and academic institutions to include these psychological aspects in the learning process

Abstract

This study aims to examine the marketing strategies implemented to increase sales at Warkop Agam Medan. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method and was conducted at Warkop Agam, located at Jalan Karya Wisata No. 73, Pangkalan Mansyur, Medan Johor District, Medan City, North Sumatra. Data were collected from both primary and secondary sources using techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis involved organizing and interpreting data through a qualitative descriptive approach supported by relevant literature and expert opinions. The findings indicate that: (1) Warkop Agam applies a marketing strategy focused on excellent customer service, consistent product quality, and varied pricing; (2) While annual sales have experienced fluctuations, the overall trend remains stable without significant impact on year-over-year growth; (3) A notable strength is the shop’s strategic location along a major road, contributing to its visibility; and (4) The main weakness lies in limited digital marketing efforts, particularly underutilization of social media platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and food vlogs. This research highlights the importance of integrating traditional marketing with digital strategies to enhance competitive advantage in the culinary MSME sector

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the impact of accounting digital literacy and learning resilience on the accounting knowledge of students at the Medan IT&B Campus. In the digital age, proficiency in technology and adaptability in a demanding learning environment are crucial elements for enhancing accounting learning results. This research employs a quantitative methodology via a survey technique. Data was gathered through the distribution of structured questionnaires to students enrolled in the Accounting program at the Medan IT&B Campus. The research sample comprised 75 students chosen by the proportional stratified random selection technique. The data analysis method included multiple linear regression utilizing Smart PLS software. The findings indicated that digital literacy in accounting positively and significantly influences students' accounting knowledge. This underscores that proficiency in digital technologies enhances the comprehension of accounting principles. Moreover, cultivating resilience substantially enhances students' accounting knowledge, underscoring the significance of tenacity and the capacity to surmount challenges throughout the educational journey. Both variables concurrently exert a significant impact on elucidating the level of accounting knowledge among students at the Medan IT&B Campus. This study offers a pragmatic contribution to educational institutions in formulating learning techniques that incorporate digital literacy and enhance students' learning resilience. The practical consequences encompass curriculum refinement, augmentation of technological facilities, and the formulation of technology-driven pedagogical approaches to cultivate exceptional accounting graduates equipped to confront difficulties in the digital age

Abstract

Satisfaction has an important meaning not only for consumers but also for companies in supporting their survival. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of location and price discount on purchasing decisions. This type of research is quantitative. The population in the study is CV. Super Com, while the sampling technique uses accedental sampling. Collecting data using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The results of data analysis show that location and price discount have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Furthermore, the value (R2) is 0.548 (54.8%). So it can be said that 54.8% of the variation in the dependent variable, namely location and price discount on the model, can explain the purchasing decision variables in CV. Perfect Com while the remaining 45.2% is influenced by other variables outside the model.
