Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai kondisi kecemasan lansia di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih (PSTW) Sicincin dilihat dari (1) respon fisiologis, (2) respon perilaku, (3) respon kognitif, (4) respon afektif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif, dengan sampel 52 orang lansia, pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala pengukuran kondisi kecemasan lansia (SPKKL). Analisis deskriptif menggunakan rumus persentase untuk mendeskripsikan kondisi kecemasan lansia. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kondisi kecemasan lansia secara keseluruhan pada umumnya berada pada kategori sedang (44%), (2) ditinjau dari respon fisiologis pada umumnya berada pada kategori sedang (38%), (3) ditinjau dari respon perilaku pada umumnya berada pada kategori sedang (40%), (4) ditinjau dari respon kognitif pada umumnya berada pada kategori sedang (46%), (5) ditinjau dari respon afektif pada umumnya berada pada kategori sedang (46%).

Abstract

Old age is a natural process experienced by every human being who will reach old age. Old age is not a disease, but a normal process that cannot be avoided. In incomplete sentence old age many problems faced by the elderly both physical problems that have decreased and mental problems such as depression, stress and anxiety. Problems that occur in the elderly are important things that require attention and care. Hypnotherapy is one way that can be done in the elderly to reduce the problems that occur, especially regarding mental health such as anxiety. Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic method that uses hypnosis. Hypnotherapy is a direct response to the causes or roots of a problem, and what makes people enter hypnosis is the verbal suggestion. This paper tries to explain the concept of hypnotherapy and aspects related to hypnotherapy, which are aimed at reducing mental problems such as anxiety that occurs in the elderly.

Abstract

Lanjut usia merupakan tahap akhir perkembangan pada daur kehidupan manusia yang merupakan suatu proses alami yang tidak dapat dihindari oleh setiap individu. Perubahan-perubahan fisologis maupun psikososial, akan berpotensi pada masalah kesehatan baik fisik maupun psikologis. Salah satu masalah psikologis yang sering terjadi pada lanjut usia pada kondisi kehidupan sosial adalah kecemasan. Kecemasan diartikan suatu kondisi emosi yang menimbulkan ketidaknyamanan ditandai dengan perasan khawatir, kegelisahan dan ketakutan sehingga dapat mengganggu kehidupan. Naskah ini mencoba untuk kemaparkan konsep kecemasan dan aspek yang terkait dengan kecemasan yang dialami lansia secara umum dan panti jompo secara khusus.

Abstract

To help students adjust to their new school, the author of the book "Development of a Media booklet to Improve Self-adjustment for Class VII Students of SMP PGRI Lembang" uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach to create a booklet designed to help students adapt. In addition, a customized questionnaire consisting of a total of 42 statement items was used in this investigation. Class VII students of SMP PGRI Lembang were the subjects of this study. Out of a total population of 27, only 8 were randomly selected to participate. In this study, we used descriptive percentages to analyze our data (including 27 participants). This study uses expert validation tests to determine whether or not the media to be tested for spaciousness is appropriate. This test involves media experts, materials, and practitioners. The results of the research on class VII A students before receiving guidance services for self-adjustment booklet media were very low with a percentage score of 43% which could be categorized as very low, and after students were given group guidance services with self-adjustment booklet media, the percentage score increased to 76%. The results of this research were carried out to increase students' understanding of the importance of self-adjustment so that students can get success both academically and non-academically.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan masa transisi, terdapat adanya kebingungan, kegelisahan, pertentangan,  dan konflik yang dialami dikarenakan pada fase ini remaja dalam masa kanak-kanak menuju dewasa. Pada fase ini, remaja membutuhkan untuk dapat memiliki keterampilan sosial sebagai upaya agar terhindar dari kenakalan remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan keterampilan sosial dan Juvenile Delinquency remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif jenis korelasional. Alat pengumpulan data berupa angket dengan skala Likert. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 334 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan pearson product moment correlation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan negatif antara keterampilan sosial dan Juvenile Delinquency remaja di Kota Bandung dengan nilai rhitung yaitu -0,606 dengan sig 0,000 yang berada pada kategori cukup. Artinya, semakin tinggi keterampilan sosial remaja maka semakin rendah Juvenile Delinquency remaja.

Abstract

Digital transformation in guidance and counseling leverages website media to enhance students’ self-awareness, adapting to technological advancements in education. This study aims to test the effectiveness of website media in increasing students’ self-awareness through group guidance services. The research method uses the Research and Development (R&D) approach with the continuous Borg & Gall model, involving class X students of SMK Mahardhika Batujajar. The research instrument is a self-awareness scale, with data analysis through the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk normality tests and the paired sample t-test effectiveness test. The results showed a significant increase in students’ self-awareness, with a total pretest score of 1,224 increasing to 1,745 in the posttest. The normality test showed that the data was normally distributed with a Kolmogorov-Smirnov significance value of 0.261 and Shapiro-Wilk 0.726 (> 0.05). The paired sample t-test effectiveness test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, which means that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest. In conclusion, website-based media has proven effective in increasing students’ self-awareness with a more flexible and interactive approach. The contribution of this research includes a strategy for developing more adaptive technology-based guidance, providing more effective alternatives for students, and being a reference for teachers and counselors in integrating digital media in guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

Social skills are an important aspect in developing the character of 21st century students, especially in facing the challenges of communication, collaboration, and cross-cultural interaction. However, there is no measurement instrument specifically designed to assess students' social skills in the context of higher education in Indonesia. This study aims to develop and evaluate a valid, reliable, and gender- and department-free Student Social Skills Instrument (S3I). The research sample consisted of 575 responses collected from various departments at IKIP Siliwangi, consisting of 113 male students (19.7%; SD = -0.79) and 462 female students (80.3%; SD = 0.69). The S3I instrument consists of 204 items arranged on a 5-point Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using the Rasch model approach, including analysis of item validity, reliability, unidimensionality, and Differential Item Functioning (DIF) based on gender and department. The results showed that the S3I instrument had very high reliability (α = 0.98), met the criteria of unidimensionality (explained variance 29.8%), and most of the items showed conformity with the Rasch model. However, some items were found to be inappropriate and biased towards certain genders or majors, so they needed to be revised further. Overall, the S3I was stated as an appropriate and accurate measuring instrument to assess students' social skills in the context of higher education.

Abstract

Social media has become an important part of students' lives in today's internet era, helping them meet their academic, social, and entertainment needs. However, excessive exposure to social media can cause fatigue, known as Social Media Fatigue (SMF), which affects students’ behavioural, cognitive, and emotional levels. This study aimed to analyse the level of social media fatigue based on demographics and technology access patterns. This research used a quantitative descriptive survey design with stratum random sampling technique by taking samples from various batches or years of student entry to the University. A total of 386 students participated, consisting of various batches or years of student entry (Year 2021 = 143 / 37.1%; 2022 = 97 / 25.1; 2023 = 80 / 20.7; 2024 = 66 / 17.1). The scale used in this study is the Social Media Fatigue scale (SMFS). Data were analysed using descriptive analysis with the help of JASP 0.19.3 software. The findings of this study indicated that the level of social media fatigue in students is high. Cognitive experience has the highest mean value among the three components of SMF, compared to emotional and behavioural experiences. In addition, findings suggested a tendency towards Emotional Experience, which may indicate that social media has a greater impact on their emotional well-being. Moreover, long access duration may worsen the consequences of social media fatigue.

Abstract

Background: Post-disaster trauma, such as that experienced after the earthquake in Cianjur, can lead to psychological issues among students, including academic procrastination. Interventions are needed to help students regain focus and motivation in their learning. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of group counseling using self-talk therapy techniques in reducing academic procrastination among students during the post-earthquake traumatic period at SMPN 03 Cianjur, West Java. Method: The research was conducted in 2022 using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. Data were collected using a procrastination scale administered before and after the intervention. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used to analyze the data. Result: The analysis showed a significant reduction in students' procrastination scores after the implementation of group counseling with self-talk therapy techniques, indicating a positive effect of the intervention. Conclusion: Group counseling using self-talk therapy techniques is effective in reducing academic procrastination among students affected by earthquake trauma. Contribution: This study contributes to the development of trauma-informed counseling practices by providing evidence of the effectiveness of self-talk techniques in group settings, offering a valuable approach for school counselors in post-disaster recovery programs.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui identitas professional guru bimbingan dan konseling di kabupateb Bandung Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru bimbingan dan konseling di Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang berjumlah 40 orang. Penelitian ini tidak menggunakan sampel. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah model skala likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa guru bimbingan dan konseling di kabupaten Bandung Barat mayoritas berada pada tingkat moratorium sebesar 58%, tingkat diffuse identity sebesar 18%, dan achieved mature identity sebesar 25%. Pada setiap aspeknya, sebagian besar berada pada tingkat moratorium yaitu diatas 53%.Abstract:  This study aims to determine the professional identity of guidance and counseling teachers in West Bandung district. This research is a survey research with quantitative descriptive approach. The population in this study were 40 guidance and counseling teachers in West Bandung Regency. This study did not use a sample. The instrument used is a Likert scale model. Descriptive percentage data analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that the majority of guidance and counseling teachers in West Bandung Regency are at the moratorium level by 58%, the diffuse identity level by 18%, and the achieved mature identity by 25%. In each aspect, most are at the moratorium level, which is above 58%.
