Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that it has been known that communication has a relationship with literacy based on literacy components. However, there has been no research or reference that illustrates how big and strong the relationship between mathematical literacy and mathematical written communication skills is and there is also no research that explains the significance of the relationship between the two. With this condition, the description of the significant relationship between mathematical literacy and mathematical written communication skills is the goal of this study to describe the significant relationship between mathematical literacy and the mathematical written communication ability of grade X students. This research was carried out in the 2023/2024 school year at SMKN 1 Jabon class X. The research sample was class X TEI 2 which amount is for accountable to 30 students. Data collection is in the form of tests with the same question and as many as 4 modified questions and validated by expert lecturers. The data from the study were tested for normality and linearity, then a hypothesis test was carried out using Pearson correlation. The results of this study are the relationship between mathematical literacy and mathematical written communication skills in grade X students of SMK Negeri 1 Jabon shows that there is positive relationship with a correlation coefficient of 0.966 or included in a very strong criterion.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dan melihat hubungan antara status akreditasi dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis guru matematika dan juga siswa. Pemilihan sekolah dilakukan secara acak berdasarkan data BAN SM untuk SMP di wilayah Sidoarjo. Sekolah dipilih untuk mewakili sekolah terakreditasi A, B, dan C. Data diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kritis yang meliputi aspek menginterpretasi, aspek menghubungkan, aspek menganalisis, aspek mengevaluasi, dan aspek memecahkan masalah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan korelasi Gamma dan diperoleh hasil bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara status sekolah dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis guru, sehingga dalam kasus ini kemampuan berpikir kritis tidak ada kaitannya dengan status akreditasi. Begitu juga analisis dari data kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara status sekolah dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between mathematical connection ability (MCA) and mathematical problem-solving skills (MPSS) in cadets of the Ship Operation Engineering Technology Study Program at the Surabaya Maritime Polytechnic. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, 21 cadets were given two questions designed to measure MCA and MPSS, which were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Spearman rank correlation test. The results showed a significant positive correlation between MCA and MPSS, with a coefficient value of 0.901. This finding indicates that cadets with higher MCA tend to have better problem-solving skills. Additionally, cadets experienced difficulties with questions involving trigonometric concepts in a nautical context, such as the use of compass points and distance calculations. This study highlights the importance of strengthening MCA and MPSS in maritime vocational education to enhance cadets' technical and cognitive skills, particularly in solving complex operational problems in the maritime sector.

Abstract

The Port of Tanjung Perak is intended as the main gateway to connect regions within the country and between countries. With the construction of the GSN Terminal at Tanjung Perak Port, it is hoped that it can be used as access to human mobility so as to provide satisfaction to passengers. The research aims to determine the influence of port facilities consisting of aspects of safety, comfort, convenience and equality on passenger satisfaction. The type of research used in this study is quantitative. This research was carried out at the Port of Tanjung Perak with a time of 1 year. The average daily passenger population in 2024 is 4,593 passengers. The results of the calculation of the Slovin formula can be determined by the number of samples as many as 100 passengers, the data source in this study uses primary and secondary data with data collection techniques, namely: questionnaires, laws and regulations, official government reports, and relevant previous research. The data analysis technique is the Multiple Linear Regression test. The results of this study show that the variables of safety, convenience, and equality in passenger terminal facilities have a positive and significant effect on passenger satisfaction at Tanjung Perak Port. Port facilities have a significant simultaneous effect on passenger satisfaction at Tanjung Perak Port.

Abstract

Ports are critical infrastructure in maritime transportation, facilitating the movement of goods and people while serving as hubs for economic activities. The Tanjung Pakis Class III Harbormaster and Port Authority Office (KSOP) utilizes the Electronic Reporting Information (SIRANI) application for reporting loading and unloading data. However, challenges such as discrepancies, technical disruptions, and delays in data processing often arise. This study aims to describe the loading and unloading data processing and the efficiency of reporting time on the SIRANI application at KSOP Class III Tanjung Pakis. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation, the research finds that data processing is less effective due to low data validity and errors in the Inaportnet platform. Reporting to SIRANI is also inefficient due to delays in data handling and technical issues with the application. Corrective measures, such as early data verification and manual data handling by reporting officers, have improved effectiveness by reducing the process from five to three steps and cutting reporting time from 6 hours to 3 hours and 30 minutes. The study concludes that optimizing data processing and inter-unit coordination can enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of reporting. Recommendations for future research include real-time integration and the development of backup mechanisms to address technical disruptions.

Abstract

The shipping industry continues to grow, requiring companies to compete by providing excellent services. Ship agencies play a crucial role in operations, particularly in clearance in and clearance out processes. PT. Temas Shipping faces challenges such as expired documents, inaccurate vessel information, and limited facilities, making it necessary to implement strategies to enhance ship agency performance in clearance in and clearance out processes.The objective of this study is to identify the obstacles encountered in the clearance in and clearance out processes at PT. Temas Shipping Surabaya Branch, assess the impacts of these challenges, and explore strategies to improve ship agency performance in facilitating clearance in and clearance out processes. This research employs a qualitative approach. Data is collected through observations, interviews with relevant sources, and document analysis related to clearance in and clearance out processes at PT. Temas Shipping Surabaya Branch. The data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis follows a descriptive approach. The research findings highlight several obstacles in the clearance in and clearance out processes, primarily the limited human resources, which result in delays in document processing and disrupt clearance procedures for vessels under PT. Temas Shipping Surabaya Branch. The discussion also covers the impacts of clearance in and clearance out processes, including effects on PT. Temas Shipping Surabaya Branch’s internal productivity, customer trust and satisfaction, financial aspects, and supply chain efficiency. Lastly, the study explores strategies to improve performance, such as enhancing document management systems, developing human resources into professionals, providing rewards for agents, and conducting regular evaluations and monitoring.

Abstract

Seaman Book Online is an online service system that makes it easier for Seamans to take care of seaman books, official documents that record Seamans' identities and work experiences without having to come directly to the office. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that service quality is influenced by six management elements: man, money, materials, machines, methods, and markets. The obstacles faced include a shortage of employees, limited equipment, network disruptions, and SOPs that are not fully effective. The improvement strategy is carried out through human resource arrangements, equipment procurement, facility optimization, and socialization of online services, including through social media. The Online Seaman Book service at Harbor Master and Port Authority (KSOP) Class II of Benoa has been running well, with a Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) value of 3.93 in the "Very Good" category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pelayanan jasa perizinan Terminal untuk Kepentingan Sendiri (TUKS) dan biaya perizinan terhadap penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak (PNBP) pada Kantor Syahbandar dan Otoritas Pelabuhan (KSOP) Utama Tanjung Perak Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada pelaku usaha pelabuhan yang menggunakan layanan TUKS, serta wawancara dengan petugas KSOP Utama Tanjung Perak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan jasa perizinan yang cepat dan transparan, serta biaya perizinan yang kompetitif, memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan penerimaan PNBP di KSOP Utama Tanjung Perak. Secara khusus, kualitas pelayanan yang baik mampu mempercepat proses perizinan, mengurangi biaya tambahan yang tidak diinginkan, dan meningkatkan kepuasan pelaku usaha. Sebaliknya, biaya perizinan yang terlalu tinggi dapat menurunkan motivasi pengguna jasa untuk mematuhi kewajiban pembayaran PNBP, sehingga berdampak negatif terhadap penerimaan negara. Penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan kualitas pelayanan perizinan dan peninjauan kembali struktur biaya perizinan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas penerimaan PNBP di pelabuhan

Abstract

Objective – This research aims to analyze the impact of Effective Time : Berthing Time on the Berth Occupancy Ratio at Mirah Port, Tanjung Perak, by assessing its efficiency and compliance with operational standards.Design/methodology/approach – The research applies a quantitative method with simple linear regression analysis. The data were obtained from monthly Performance Standards Reports of KSOP Utama Tanjung Perak from 2020 to 2024. The analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 to determine the statistical significance of Effective Time : Berthing Time’s impact on Berth OccupancyRatio.Findings – The analysis shows that the Effective Time to Berthing Time ratio for both 2023 and 2024 consistently falls below the required minimum standard. Despite this, the Berth Occupancy Ratio remains within a safe range and does not surpass the established threshold. Further hypothesis testing demonstrates that there is a significant relationship between the Effective Time to Berthing Time ratio and the Berth Occupancy Ratio. However, this ratio only explains a small portion of the variation in BerthOccupancy Ratio, suggesting that most of the changes are influenced by other factors not covered in this study.Research limitations/implications – The research is limited to Terminal Mirah and covers only the period from 2020 to 2024. Future research should consider expanding the dataset and including other performance factors.Practical implications – Terminal Mirah should enhance operational effectiveness through infrastructure optimization, workforce training, and improved cargo handling efficiency to raise Effective Time : Berthing Time values, ensuring optimal Berth Occupancy Ratio utilization.Originality/value – This research contributes to port management studies by establishing the relationship between Effective Time : Berthing Time and Berth Occupancy Ratio, highlighting the need for improved operational efficiency to meet regulatory standards.

Abstract

Pelabuhan merupakan salah satu sektor penting dalam mendukung perekonomian suatu negara. Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak adalah pelabuhan terbesar kedua dan tersibuk di Indonesia. Dari aktivitas pelabuhan yang sibuk, dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, seperti pencemaran limbah dari operasi kapal. Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan Utama Tanjung Perak menerapkan PWMS untuk meminimalkan pencemaran limbah dari operasi kapal guna menjalankan tugasnya dalam melindungi lingkungan maritim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan PWMS di Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase kapal yang mengisi data limbah di PWMS sebesar 8,48%, sementara persentase kapal yang mengisi data limbah nol di PWMS sebesar 91,52%. Persentase yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa pelaporan limbah di PWMS belum teratur. Dengan hasil ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan PWMS di Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak belum efektif. Ketidakefektifan penerapan PWMS disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, baik faktor internal maupun eksternal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi.
