Abstract

Oil losses in crude palm oil (CPO) production significantly impact process efficiency and industrial profitability. This study analyzes the causes and extent of oil losses at various processing stages, including empty fruit bunches, pressed fiber, nuts, and liquid effluent, using Soxhlet extraction with n-hexane solvent. Results indicate that while total oil losses remain within acceptable limits, certain components such as empty fruit bunches and liquid effluent exceed standard thresholds. Key contributing factors include raw material quality (underripe or residual fruit), equipment inefficiencies (such as digester maceration and centrifuge separation), and operational errors. The Soxhlet extraction method proved effective in measuring oil losses due to its ability to separate compounds based on density differences without damaging oil components. This study recommends improvements in sterilization processes, equipment optimization, and enhanced operational monitoring to reduce oil losses. The findings provide valuable insights for the industry to enhance production efficiency and minimize economic losses

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tantangan yang dihadapi guru serta strategi yang diterapkan dalam pengelolaan kelas anak usia dini yang memiliki perbedaan karakteristik dan kemampuan. Studi ini dilakukan di BKB PAUD Al-Muharram dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan desain studi kasus deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung di dalam kelas, wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan guru dan kepala satuan PAUD, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberagaman karakteristik anak, seperti perbedaan kemampuan kognitif, sosial-emosional, serta perilaku, menjadi tantangan utama dalam pengelolaan kelas. Guru menghadapi keterbatasan jumlah tenaga pengajar, kurangnya keterlibatan orang tua, dan kebutuhan untuk mendampingi anak secara individual. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, guru menerapkan strategi seperti pembelajaran berbasis bermain, pengelompokan berdasarkan kemampuan anak, pendekatan individual, serta memperkuat komunikasi dengan orang tua. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya kompetensi guru dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif, adaptif, dan mendukung perkembangan optimal anak usia dini.

Abstract

This community service (PKM) was carried out by students of IAI Darussalam Martapura, Early Childhoood Islamic Education study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah. To better understand the methods and media that should be taught to early childhood. The purpuse of this community service is so that prospective educators and educators understand more about the learning that will be carried out for early childhood through interesting media and methods so that children do not get bored easily in following the learning. The methods used are teaching, discussions and mentoring to students and teachers who have been invited, namely KB Aisyah and KB Cempaka Putih.
