Abstract

Karya ini dilatarbelakangi dengan semakin memudarnya tradisi minum kopi Gayo akibatpengaruh dari modernisasi. Tradisi tersebut bukan hanya sekedar tradisi konsumsi, tetapi juga simboliden;tas budaya masyarakat Aceh dari masyarakat Aceh. Peneli;an dari karya ini bertujuan untukmemperkenalkan nilai-nilai sosial dan budaya dari tradisi minum kopi Gayo melalu karya instalasiseni. Karya instalasi ini dirancang menyerupai suasana warung kopi tradisional di Aceh dandilengkapi dengan perfomans pembuatan kopi khas Aceh. Karya ini dilakukan dengan pendekataneste;ka rasional yang berupa instalasi yang mengundang par;sipasi dari penonton. Dengan begitu,hasil karya diharapkan dapat menjadi media budaya sekaligus dapat membangun kebanggaanterhadap warisan budaya Aceh.Kata Kunci: Budaya Aceh, este;ka rasional, instalasi, Kopi Gayo

Abstract

Masjid Al Hasanah adalah masjid yang sudah cukup lama berdiri di daerah Cisaranten-Bandung. Kondisi dan keadaan fisik bangunan termasuk terawat dengan baik, serta kegiatan ibadah misalnya sholat berjamaah, pengajian, belajar mengaji juga terlihat aktif. Namun jika dilihat dari ornament elemen estetis di ruang interior belum terlihat representatif. Dalam Pengabdian Masyarakat kali ini, kami akan berupaya untuk merevitalisasi area interior berupa ornament arabesque agar orang secara umum atupun jamaah secara khusus yang melihatnya menjadi lebih nyaman secara psikologis serta terinspirasi secara visual dengan berbagai penyesuaian dan penambahan yang kami rancang. Salah satu solusi dari kami adalah Pelatihan Kesenirupaan , di mana pada Pelatihan Kesenirupaan ini akan kami aplikasikan di beberapa dinding masjid berupa ornament arabesque yaitu ornamen yang motifnya menggambarkan tidak ada awal dan tidak ada akhir. Kami memanfaatkan software potoshop untuk mengedit dan membuat cetakan motif yang nantinya akan diaplikasikan di dinding masjid al Hasanah.

Abstract

Throughout Indonesia's history, clothing has served multiple purposes, representing not only social status but also an individual's position in society. From the eras of Hindu-Buddhist influence to the advent of Islam and into the modern era, Indonesian attire has been a canvas colored by evolving customs and cultural shifts. As the 20th century began, a dynamic transformation in clothing styles emerged, spurred by the rise of Indonesian intellectuals in response to Dutch ethical policies. This change was evident among Indonesian Islamic intellectuals as well, where traditional robes and sarongs, once emblematic of Muslim attire, lost their primary significance. This study aims to delve into the fashion choices of Indonesian Islamic intellectuals during the early 20th century. Employing a historical research method comprising four stages—heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography—the research seeks to uncover the influence of Western fashion on these intellectuals' clothing choices. The findings of this study illuminate how Western fashion elements such as suits, ties, hats, and shirts became commonplace among Indonesian Islamic intellectuals during this transformative period.

Abstract

Massive modernization and digitalization currents potentially erode the younger generation's understanding and appreciation of local cultural heritage. This community service activity aims to empower the youth group members of the Al Fitrah Mosque Youth Association or Gemar through traditional hadrah art training in the Cipamokolan area of Bandung City. The implementation method used a participatory mentoring approach encompassing a cross-sectoral coordination preparation phase, a technical training and philosophical value education phase, and a performance showcase phase as an art appreciation space. The results of this activity indicate an increase in the youths' motor and musical skills in playing traditional hadrah instruments. Furthermore, this activity successfully facilitated the process of cultural transmission and intergenerational educational communication when the youths introduced the art form to the women's Islamic study congregation. The conclusion of this community service asserts that restructuring mosque youth activities through religious arts is proven effective in maintaining the existence of Nusantara Islamic culture while safeguarding the social identity of the younger generation from the negative impacts of globalization.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kreativitas dan apresiasi seni siswa melalui workshop membatik pada media tote bag di SD Widuri Kabupaten Bandung. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan workshop interaktif yang mencakup pemaparan materi, praktik membatik, apresiasi karya, serta refleksi, dengan pendampingan guru selama proses berlangsung. Evaluasi keberhasilan dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, penilaian hasil karya, dokumentasi foto, dan catatan refleksi guru. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh siswa (100%) berhasil menyelesaikan karya tote bag, 90% mampu mengeksplorasi warna secara beragam, dan 87% menghasilkan motif yang berbeda. Selain itu, 83% siswa berani mempresentasikan hasil karyanya di depan kelas dan 90% memahami batik sebagai bagian dari budaya Indonesia. Workshop ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kreativitas visual serta menumbuhkan sikap apresiatif terhadap seni dan budaya batik. Ke depan, program serupa direkomendasikan untuk diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran seni budaya secara berkelanjutan di sekolah.

Abstract

The weak of public awareness of traffic regulation seen from low level of the discipline in driving, that produce undisciplined culture to the society. Lacking awareness from people in traffic rules can be seen in behavior like an increased by offense traffic motorists. This was found in many offense of the traffic signs in Bandung in 2014 by the number of 39.205 offense (Source : Polwiltabes Bandung, 2015). Undisciplined behaviour of people in traffic as driving exceeds the speed limit determined, passing traffic lights, passing marka roadblock, no complete safety equipment as well not use helmet, informer to, vehicles lights, incompleteness motor vehicles letter, disobedient pay taxes, and could not be used vehicles. A traffic violation often happens also involved in “a rider breaking the traffic congestion, driving zigzag at high speed, and even had breaking the traffic lights, and breaking the banned curvy” (Hendratno, 2009 :499). Abstract

This community service activity aims to introduce and strengthen children’s cultural education through drawing and coloring traditional shadow puppets (wayang kulit) as a creative and contextual learning medium. The activity was conducted in a mosque environment as an inclusive non-formal educational space that plays an important role in supporting children’s social, cultural, and character development within the community. The methods implemented included introducing the Pandawa characters, explaining the cultural values and moral messages contained in wayang kulit, guiding children in creating basic wayang illustrations, and facilitating coloring activities that encouraged creativity and individual expression. The participants consisted of children from Madrasah Diniyah, elementary school, and junior high school levels with different educational backgrounds and artistic abilities. The results showed an increase in children’s enthusiasm and awareness toward traditional arts and cultural heritage. Through the activity, children began to recognize character values such as honesty, courage, perseverance, responsibility, and togetherness represented by wayang characters. The activity also encouraged active participation, creativity, and an enjoyable learning experience. Therefore, drawing and coloring wayang kulit can be considered an effective strategy for implementing contextual, interactive, and sustainable cultural education for children.

Abstract

This study explores the revitalization of the Sundanese Pegon script through a community-based training program at Al-Huda Islamic Boarding School, Bandung. Conducted by the Community Service Team of Telkom University in June 2025, the program aimed to preserve traditional Islamic literacy by reintroducing the Pegon script to students (santri). Utilizing a qualitative-descriptive method through observation, interviews, and document analysis, the research reveals that the training successfully enhanced both the students' awareness and technical proficiency in reading and writing Pegon. Interview results with the Chairman of the Al-Huda Foundation, Roni Syahroni, emphasize that this effort is not merely an academic achievement but a vital step in reviving the historical soul of the pesantren. The findings demonstrate strong community support for preserving local cultural literacy. The study concludes that the community-based education model is highly effective and viable as a strategy to sustain the Islamic cultural heritage of Nusantara amidst modern challenges. Thus, Pegon literacy remains a spiritual and intellectual bridge for future generations.
