Abstract

The introduction of a company in appearance or form that has its own characteristics through visual identity, one of which is a logo. The logo is studied as an object, representation, and interpretation of the values, services, and commitments that the company has to its customers. This research analyzes the meaning contained in the Gojek SOLV logo as a form of visual identity using Charles Sander Pierce's semiotic approach with descriptive qualitative research methods. Through in-depth analysis of the visual elements contained in the logo, such as magnifying glass, map pin, power button, and embracing shape, as well as research on color and font selection, this research explores the messages contained in the logo. The research findings show that the Gojek SOLV logo is not only a symbol of visual identity, but also a reflection of the representation of Gojek's dedication, values, and vision as well as in the interpretation of empowering, supporting, and providing a sense of security while traveling. This research provides an understanding of the importance of logo design in the context of corporate visual communication and how a logo can be a means to articulate the company's values and vision to the wider community.

Abstract

Social media, especially Instagram, is a contest for buzzers in the 2024 presidential and vice presidential elections. In debates on social media, they are free to express their support in any way. Likewise content, but not necessarily hoax content is sent to attract sympathizers, due to the existence of an ITE law that prevents the spread of hoaxes, especially since this is an official buzzer account, in this election which was attended by three pairs of candidates and vice presidents where there must be contestation from the three candidates who need an increase in electability in order to win this presidential election. This research method uses qualitative techniques, such as observation techniques, as data collection. Aim to see if the public is affected by the content created by the buzzer account. With this, the results of the study show that positive content is given from the three official buzzers, which apply the concepts of habitus, field, and capital, which cause the impact of buzzer dominance on Instagram social media does not have a strong influence on the results of the 2024 election, it is the public's view of which leader will be chosen that is higher.

Abstract

Friends With Benefits is a relationship that is becoming more and more common with the advances of technology and online dating these days, such as the Bumble dating app. These applications have led to a new phenomenon called Friends With Benefits (FWB) situations. The commitment free and unbureaucratic nature of these types of apps form casual liaisons without emotional ties, thus ultimately possibly leading to problems with varied expectations. In this paper we focus on the problems, dynamics, and conflicts that are prone to emerge in FWBs started via the Bumble app. Method This study adopts a qualitative, case study research method with data from semi-structured interviews with five informants who have had FWB relationships using the Bumble app. The findings may offer insights into how FWB relationships are initiated, maintained and terminated in the era of social media and contemporary social relations. As information is given, the participants reveal themselves before moving into Orientation, Effective Exchange and finally Stable Exchange. The restriction in FWB arrangements is that freedom, since not all couples have the freedom.

Abstract

The spread of juvenile street illegal car races among teenagers has raised the attention and then delinquency aspects as well, which stems from weak social reinforcement (control) factors, interpersonal communication defect in the family and missing fields for good interests. This research seeks to examine the kinds of social interaction among illegal street racers, investigate their motivations for involvement and uncover the symbolism underlying the interactions of the community of outlaw street racers. The research method is descriptive qualitative approach with phenomenology pattern and using Max Weber's Social Action theory as an analysis model. Data were collected from direct observation, in-depth interviews, documentation of the participants and their families and surroundings as well as garage owners’ sources. The study’s findings suggest that illegal street racing is not only deviant behaviour, but it also serves as a symbolic means of communication where teenagers establish and present their identity, voice membership in society, group loyalty. This is adolescents’ “deprivation of social existence” and VIP room of self-realization. Thus, moves to combating this must be through mutually sympathetic and educational communication and for it ever to work: long enough sticks and comfortably placed legal outlets for these interests of automotive controversy.
