Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance financial literacy among early childhood children in Dusun Pemangkalan, Batu Mekar Village, through the creation of creative savings from used bottles integrated with Hindu economic values. The methodological approach included community education, participatory training, and demonstration sessions. Activities were conducted through multiple phases: initial socialization about financial literacy importance, creative workshops on transforming waste bottles into functional piggy banks, and the introduction of basic Hindu economic principles such as Tri Hita Karana and the concept of Artha. The results indicated a modest improvement in children's understanding of saving concepts and money values, with pre-intervention assessment showing 35% understanding and post-intervention reaching 55%. Parental involvement was observed to be crucial, though participation levels varied. Environmental awareness also showed slight improvement. The study concludes that while culturally contextual and creative approaches show potential, sustained efforts and longer intervention periods are needed for significant impact. The integration of local values proved meaningful in connecting abstract financial concepts to children's daily experiences.

Abstract

The writing of the results of this study strengthens the understanding of the importance of Hindu character education and entrepreneurship for Hindu Religious Arts and Culture Education Study Program students. Art education students are formed into prospective educators, but more opportunities are needed for graduates to become educators. The lack of options, because the formation provided is sometimes lacking, so students must be able to read opportunities. Reading opportunities are part of financial literacy, so entrepreneurship needs to be integrated into lectures. Either through curriculum adaptation or entrepreneurial programs by universities. The assessment uses qualitative research, a type of literature study. Based on data analysis, Hindu character education is for students to develop prospective art educators who have attitudes and behaviours toward the teachings of Hinduism. The ability to be entrepreneurial, providing capital for art education students, to create the desire for entrepreneurship, as preparation for the future. This study aims to provide insightful reinforcement and benefits for art education students and can be a reference for relevant studies by academics and researchers.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the role of religious education in shaping the character of students oriented toward strengthening social cohesion. Plurality is a characteristic of Indonesian society, which carries the potential for social capital, but it also has the potential to trigger horizontal conflicts. The research focuses on how religious education plays a role in the formation of individual student character as a foundation for strengthening social harmony and cohesion. The research uses a qualitative approach grounded in hermeneutic phenomenology. The study’s findings show that religious education, integrated into the national curriculum, plays an important role in internalizing religious values in the educational process. This integration is not only a ritual aspect but also forms religious awareness, manifested in students’ daily religious attitudes and behaviors as agents of change in society. In the context of diversity, inclusive religious education will equip individual awareness with moral maturity, especially to appreciate differences. As a result, a strong religious character among students will lay the foundation for tolerance and the strengthening of social ties in Indonesian society. These findings may explain that religious education serves as a central instrument for strengthening national integration. This study is expected to serve as a theoretical reference for the development of future education and research policies, especially regarding socio-cultural dynamics in Indonesia, confirming that the maturity of an inclusive religious character is the key to maintaining the stability of the pluralistic Indonesian nation.

Abstract

Hindu religious learning in schools is highly dependent on the availability of adequate educators-likewise, implementing Hindu religious learning in schools in Central Lombok Regency. Hinduism is a minority, but the Central Lombok Regency Government has tried to provide Hindu teachers in schools. So, in-depth, the purpose of this study is to analyze and explore the needs and strategies of the government in providing Hindu educators in schools in Central Lombok Regency. The research used a qualitative method with a multisite case study approach in Central Lombok Regency. Interview and document analysis techniques are applied to collect data, and data is analyzed through reduction, data display, and data verification. Based on the findings on the research site, the need for Hindu religious educators in schools adjusts to the number of students. To get around the need for Hindu religious education teachers, the government got around it by combining Hindu students in several schools that were close in terms of domicile to the students. The government’s strategic step in providing Hindu teachers is through the submission of the formation of the selection of state civil servants to the Central Government and the distribution of teachers in schools so that the teaching load is evenly distributed. The findings explain that the Central Lombok Regency government is committed to providing decent access to education for all students, especially regarding religious harmony. This research is expected to be a literature study analyzing the needs of Hindu religious teachers in Indonesia and become a policy recommendation for relevant research in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the responsive evaluation of the implementation of religious moderation education. Religious moderation is a principle of life in multicultural life, promoting tolerance attitudes and behaviors, but in some events, acts of intolerance still occur and become a cause of conflict. So it is crucial to examine the position of education in implementing these principles. The study was conducted with a responsive evaluation approach through a literature analysis of research results on religious moderation education. Based on the analysis results, religious moderation is implemented to form moderate attitudes of religious people to build tolerance and harmony. As a process, education becomes a medium of value transformation for students so that it can strengthen religious moderation in society. A strengthening strategy is needed in its implementation because implementing these principles in society still needs to be improved. This study can become relevant literature for related studies and strengthen insights into implementing religious moderation.
