Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had quite a broad impact on the community's economic sector. This condition is also felt by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), including business actors in the fisheries and marine sectors. The study activities were carried out for 3 months from July to September 2021. This research used survey methods and interviews with business actors. The data collected is in the form of primary and secondary data. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive qualitative. From the results of the study it can be seen that processing business actors are quite feeling the impact of this covid-19. The results of the study in terms of sales turnover experienced a significant decline (between 40 – 60%). The sluggish consumer demand for amplang products is due to various reasons such as restrictions on people's mobility (PPKM) and declining people's purchasing power.

Abstract

Social media presence become a basic necessity for the community. Almost all levels of society use this technology. Likewise in the business world. Business actors must race to introduce their products. The use of social media is one of the solutions to speed up business promotion. The purpose of research to determine the perceptions and types of use of social media by processed fisheries business actors in Sanga Sanga District. Methods of collecting data were observation and interviews. Samples were taken by means of a census of 11 people. Data were tabulated and analyzed descriptively. To measure the level of perception using a Likert scale. The results showed that the level of perception was in the moderate category (score reached 27.91), meaning that the use of social media in business activities was still not optimal. The types of social media used are Facebook (81.82%), whatsAap (54.55%) and youtube (18.18%).

Abstract

The processing of fisheries products, characterized by the diversification of processed goods, presents a promising avenue for entrepreneurial endeavors. Product diversification holds the potential to augment the intrinsic value of products and concurrently elevate public consumption of fisheries-related commodities. This research aims to analyze the prospective added value stemming from the pempek businesses in Melayu Sub-District, Tenggarong, Kutai Kertanegara. The acquired data underwent meticulous processing, tabulation, and subsequent analytical examination, characterized by both descriptive and value-added analyses, utilizing the Hayami model. The research showed that the managed pempek businesses are predominantly of small scale, utilizing relatively simple technology. On average, a single production cycle yields 126.64 kg, or monthly output of 633.2 kg. The value-added analysis reveals a figure of 186,734 IDR per kg, with a commendable value-added ratio of 70.95%. This signifies that the conversion of belida fish into pempek not only imparts substantial value but also presents a highly promising avenue for further expansion and development.

Abstract

Peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan masyarakat melalui berbagai kegiatan pelatihan sangat perlu dilakukan. Usaha pengolahan hasil perikanan merupakan satu diantara kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga, dan dapat menciptakan peluang usaha alternatif bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah bandeng cabut duri. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan praktek. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini mendapat dukungan dan minat masyarakat yang tinggi. Kegiatan diawali dengan pemberian materi dan diskusi, selanjutnya dilakukan kegiatan praktek cabut duri ikan bandeng. Dari hasil diskusi dan pengamatan selama kegiatan, peserta sudah bisa memahami dan mempraktekan cara cabut duri dengan baik. Hal ini diharapkan nantinya peserta dapat mengaplikasikan sebagai satu usaha alternatif yang dapat dikembangkan

Abstract

Pengembangan budidaya ikan dengan memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan masih belum banyak dilakukan. Sementara masyarakat desa ini memiliki potensi yang bisa dikembangkan untuk mendukung pengembangan usaha perikanan. Masyarakat pada umumnya memiliki lahan pekarangan yang cukup luas, yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk usaha produktif seperti usaha budidaya ikan. Pengenalan kolam terpal kepada masyarakat merupakan sebuah alternatif dalam upaya pengembangan budidaya ikan, dengan memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan. Usaha ini merupakan sebuah terobosan yang bisa diterapkan pada masyarakat desa ini, sehingga melalui kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat dapat menumbuhkan minat dan motivasi. Metode pendekatan dilakukan melalui penyuluhan dan diskusi tentang model pengembangan budidaya ikan di lahan pekarangan kepada masyarakat sasaran. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ditargetkan untuk memberikan motivasi dan pengenalan budidaya ikan dengan memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan. Kepada sasaran diberikan pengenalan dan langkah langkah yang dilakukan dalam proses budidaya ikan. Proses komunikasi timbal balik diterapkan pada kegiatan ini, sehingga terjadi transfer pengetahuan dan teknologi secara seimbang. Dari hasil kegiatan bahwa pada umumnya sasaran antusias dan termotivasi untuk mengembangan usaha dengan kolam terpal.

Abstract

Kecamatan Anggana merupakan satu diantara kecamatan di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara dan memiliki potensi sumber daya alam yang baik, khususnya di bidang perikanan. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis kelayakan secara finansial berdasarkan kriteria investasi NPV, IRR, Net BCR dan Payback Period dari usaha tangkapan Udang Galah di Kecamatan Anggana Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. dan mengetahui kendalakendala yang dihadapi dalam usaha tangkapan Udang Galah di Kecamatan Anggana Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 10 bulan sejak Agustus 2022 sampai dengan Mei 2023 di Kecamatan Anggana Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Metode Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sensus dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 16 responden. Hasil penelitian menggunakan analisis finansial dengan kriteria investasi terdiskonto, dimana nilai NPV sebesar Rp. 585.938.963, IRR sebesar 925%, Net BCR sebesar 42,42 dan tidak terdiskonto dengan Payback Period 0,12 tahun (1,41 bulan) serta diketahui kendala-kendala yang dihadapi nelayan Udang Galah menggunakan Bubu dalam kegiatan penangkapan berupa cuaca ekstrem, pencuri dan predator. Manfaat penelitian dapat digunakan sebagai bahan referensi dan pertimbangan bagi lembaga dan masyarakat yang sedang melakukan dan yang ingin membuka usaha serta masyarakat yang berkepentingan dengan masalah terkait.

Abstract

Persepsi merupakan proses seseorang memahami dan mengetahui beberapa hal melalui panca indranya. Latar belakang kehidupan seseorang dapat mempengaruhi timbulnya persepsi pada seseorang. Persepsi yang timbul dari anggota kelompok pembudidaya ikan menjadikan adanya proses pemahaman terhadap penyuluhan yang diberikan baik berupa informasi atau teknologi. Persepsi yang terbentuk dari anggota kelompok pembudidaya ikan dapat menjadi salah satu faktor penghambat atau pendorong dalam pengembangan usaha budidaya sehingga perlu dilakukannya penelitian mengenai persepsi kelompok pembudidaya ikan (POKDAKAN) Karya Joyo Makmur terhadap kinerja penyuluh perikanan dilakukan dari bulan September 2022 hingga Juli 2023. Lokasi penelitian di Kelurahan Lempake, Kecamatan Samarinda Utara, Kota Samarinda. Reesponden berjumlah 10 orang yang terdiri dari seluruh anggota POKDAKAN Karya Joyo Makmur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui persepsi POKDAKAN Karya Joyo Makmur terhadap kinerja penyuluh perikanan di Dinas Perikanan Kota Samarinda. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner yang digunakan dalam wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 6 indikator persepsi kinerja berada pada tingkat tinggi atau sangat baik, sedangkan 1 indikator yang berada pada tingkat sedang atau cukup baik. Skor kumulatif dari indikator tersebut adalah 56,01 yang berarti sangat memuaskan.

Abstract

Fishery product processing business was an effort to increase and add value to fishery products. Activities that involve the community, especially womens who have the potential to be empowered. Fishery product processing activities, especially amplang processing in Sari Jaya Village, Sanga Sanga District, has been developing for a long time. Research aimed was to determine the business profile and business performance financially and to determine the breakeven point of production. The research was conducted using survey methods and interviews with business actors. The sample was taken by using the census method and the data were analyzed descriptively and financially. The research results showed that the business profile was household scale, simple technology, family labour and it has a business license (P-IRT). Financial analysis results showed that the balance value of revenue and costs was 2.19, it means by financially this business is profitable and prospects to be developed. Analysis results of break-even point production were 118 kg per month, while an average production actual is 258 kg per month. While the actual average production was 258 kg per month. The break-even point price is at level of Rp. 45,697 per kg. As for advice, intensive assistance required by technical agencies, especially field extension workers so that they can improve the quality of production and partnership programs to expand market segmentation.

Abstract

Bandeng fish amplang processing in Babulu Laut Vilage is still classified as a small household business, with 7 amplang processors in Babulu Laut Village. This research was conducted to determine the value added of the bandeng fish amplang business in Babulu Laut Village. The number of respondents was 7 people, so the researcher took the entire population as a sample (census). The results showed that the added value of raw bandeng fish processed into amplang was Rp. 198,553 per kg with a value added ratio of 66%. This value added ratio is considered high because it is more than 10%. The profit margin of the bandeng fish amplang was Rp. 270,865 with a profit of 69 that had been distributed to each individual such as labor income of 4% and other input contributions of 27%.
