Abstract

The purpose of this study was to learn about and understand the aquaculture business and the dynamics of the POKDAKAN Bina Karya group in  Kersik Village, Marangkayu District, Kutai Kartanegara. This research was carried out for 9 months starting from preparation to research results from August 2022 – June 2023 in Kersik Village. The samples were taken using purposive sampling method. The sampled members of the POKDAKAN Bina Karya with a tenure of membership of 10 years and over. Based on this consideration, out of 30 members, 10 members with a tenure of membership of 10 years and over are taken as a sample. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis and Likert scale. The results of the research show that the cultivation business has been going on for 31 years. Cultivation activities are carried out using traditional pond systems and using polyculture techniques involving Milkfish (Channos Channos) and Tiger Prawn (Penaeus Monodon) as the main commodities. The level of group dynamics in POKDAKAN Bina Karya has a cumulative score of 71.9, categorizing it as high (dynamic).

Abstract

This study uses several factors of production, namely capital, labor (HOK), and raw materials. The aims of this study were: (1) to determine the influence of production factors such as capital, labor (HOK) and raw materials; and (2) to find out what problems or obstacles are experienced during running a business. This research was conducted in Samarinda City, East Kalimantan Province. Primary data is obtained by observing and recording (observation) directly at the research location/object to be studied, as well as using direct interview techniques with respondents, namely business owners/employees. The sampling method for this research was carried out using a purposive sampling method, the samples selected based on these criteria were 30 businessmen processing amplangs/respondents. Methods of data analysis in this study used: (1) multiple linear regression analysis; (2) statistical test; (3) classic assumption test; and (4) descriptive analysis using computerized calculation tools such as Microsoft Excel Software and SPSS (Statistical Product And Service Solutions). The results showed that: Simultaneously (together), the capital input variable (X1), labor input (HOK) (X2) and raw material input (X3) had a significant effect on the amplang production variable (Yi), while partially, only labor input (HOK) (X2) and raw material input (X3) had a significant effect on the amplang production variable (Yi). The problems experienced by amplang processors were a decline in sales during the Covid-19 pandemic and a lack of availability of fish raw materials.

Abstract

Usaha Kecil Mikro dan Menengah (UMKM) menunjukkan fenomena yang relatif berkembang pada kondisi ekonomi yang kurang stabil. Keberadaan UMKM perlu didorong dan dipantau secara seksama. Satu di antara UMKM yang relatif berkembang di Desa Saliki adalah usaha pengolahan hasil perikanan, seperti amplang dan kerupuk ikan. Kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan pada pelaku UMKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya saing produk. Dengan pemberian label yang sesuai SNI, diharapkan mampu meningkatkan minat konsumen dan produk lebih dipercaya. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan menunjukkan tanggapan yang positif dari peserta, karena masih belum sepenuhnya memahami hal apa saja yang perlu ditampilkan pada label. Melalui kegiatan pelatihan, pelaku UMKM telah mampu memperbaiki desain produk (label) menjadi lebih baik dan sesuai SNI.

Abstract

Penguatan kapasitas manajerial kelompok pembudidaya ikan sangat penting karena berpengaruh langsung terhadap keberhasilan dan keberlanjutan usaha perikanan. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas manajerial Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan di Desa Ponoragan, Kecamatan Loa Kulu. Permasalahan yang dihadapi kelompok meliputi lemahnya perencanaan usaha, pencatatan keuangan, serta administrasi kelompok. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui observasi kebutuhan, pelatihan manajemen usaha perikanan, penyusunan rencana produksi, pelatihan pembukuan sederhana, dan pendampingan penerapan di lapangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota kelompok dalam merancang rencana usaha, melakukan pencatatan keuangan yang sistematis, dan mengelola produksi secara lebih efisien. Program ini memberikan kontribusi pada penguatan kapasitas organisasi dan peningkatan efektivitas usaha budidaya ikan di Desa Ponoragan.

Abstract

Background: A profitability analysis is crucial for assessing a business’s ability to generate profit hence, business actors need to respond and make the increase in managing their businesses. If their business is survived they may to meet nutritional needs of the community besides significantly contribute to increasing family income. Aims: To analyze the profitability of a fresh fish stall business. Methods: Data collection of research was in July-September 2025, in Sebulu District, Kutai Karatenagara Regency. Samples as respondents were obtained using the purposive sampling method, specifically four respondents, considering that they have the largest businesses with five and more than 5 years, and operate continuously. They are the fresh fish stall traders. To analyze profitability, calculations of Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Investment (RoI), Payback Period (PP), and business efficiency (RCR or Benefit Cost Ratio) were used. Results: The findings reveal that the business achieved a profitability rate of 19.10% for NPM, 29.2% for ROI, and a payback period of 0.59 years. Conclusion: The fresh fish stall business generates a relatively good profit and has the potential to sustain its operations to meet nutritional needs for health. Furthermore, the business efficiency analysis indicates an R/C ratio value of 1.24, signifying that the business is efficient, as an R/C ratio value greater than 1 denotes efficiency.

Abstract

BUMDes Sepenuh Hati manages several businesses in Loa Duri Ilir Village, which encompass various village potentials in the fisheries sector, including fish farming, fish processing, fishing ponds, and alternative fish feed production. The utilization of these businesses requires the optimization of BUMDes in their management. The purpose of this research is to determine priorities for BUMDes Sepenuh Hati in managing the fishery potential of Loa Duri Ilir Village. The data collection technique used by the researcher involved questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis method uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). This method allows for the analysis of the optimization of BUMDes Sepenuh Hati in managing fishery potential based on four aspects: the human resource aspect, the financial aspect, the marketing aspect, and the production aspect. The research results indicate that the main priority criteria for optimizing BUMDes are the human resource aspect, followed by the production aspect, the financial aspect, and lastly the marketing aspect. Based on the analyzed alternatives, BUMDes Sepenuh Hati received a facilitator recommendation from the fish farming group (Pokdakan) to assist in managing the fishery potential of Loa Duri Ilir Village.
