Abstract

This study aimed to find out the profit and the feasibility of the Sangkuriang catfish farming business based on the following indicators: RCR, BEP (production, price, and sales), Payback Period. This study was conducted in Sempaja Barat Sub-Distric, Samarinda City. The sampling method is a case study which is an approach that aims to provide a detailed description of the object under study. The result showed that the total profit was IDR 22,433,517/production. The Sangkuriang catfish farming business, based on the RCR, BEP, Payback Period, is feasible to be maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the adaptation strategies carried out by kja farmers in ex-mining ponds, to see the social conditions of kja farmers and to find out the problems faced by kja farmers. The research location was chosen in the ex-mining pond of Bangun Rejo Village, Tenggarong Seberang District. The type of research data used in this study uses primary data and secondary data. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The data analysis used is qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that there are several adaptation strategies carried out by kja farmers in ex-mining ponds so that the business continues to be sustainable, namely, selecting the right fish species, collaborating with related parties, managing water quality, making independent feed and expanding marketing networks. The social conditions of kja farmers can be seen from the aspects of education, livelihoods and cooperation between networks. Problems faced by kja farmers include difficulties in obtaining activity permits, lack of support from the government, rising feed prices and irregular payment of results.

Abstract

Social media presence become a basic necessity for the community. Almost all levels of society use this technology. Likewise in the business world. Business actors must race to introduce their products. The use of social media is one of the solutions to speed up business promotion. The purpose of research to determine the perceptions and types of use of social media by processed fisheries business actors in Sanga Sanga District. Methods of collecting data were observation and interviews. Samples were taken by means of a census of 11 people. Data were tabulated and analyzed descriptively. To measure the level of perception using a Likert scale. The results showed that the level of perception was in the moderate category (score reached 27.91), meaning that the use of social media in business activities was still not optimal. The types of social media used are Facebook (81.82%), whatsAap (54.55%) and youtube (18.18%).

Abstract

Kelurahan Manggar Baru, Kecamatan Balikpapan Timur merupakan daerah yang terletak di pesisir pantai yang memiliki potensi perikanan yang melimpah. Selain perikanan tangkap, Kelurahan Manggar Baru juga memiliki potensi perikanan di sektor budidaya dan pengolahan hasil perikanan. Salah satu potensi perikanan yang ada di Kelurahan Manggar Baru adalah kepiting rajungan. Namun, limbah rajungan belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh masyarakat, padahal limbah rajungan dapat bernilai ekonomi. Salah satu pemanfaatan limbah rajungan adalah dengan membuat produk olahan rajungan buncit. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan limbah rajungan yang bernilai ekonomi. Kegiatan penyuluhan dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang dipadukan dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah limbah rajungan. Kegiatan penyuluhan yang dilaksanakan memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had quite a broad impact on the community's economic sector. This condition is also felt by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), including business actors in the fisheries and marine sectors. The study activities were carried out for 3 months from July to September 2021. This research used survey methods and interviews with business actors. The data collected is in the form of primary and secondary data. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive qualitative. From the results of the study it can be seen that processing business actors are quite feeling the impact of this covid-19. The results of the study in terms of sales turnover experienced a significant decline (between 40 – 60%). The sluggish consumer demand for amplang products is due to various reasons such as restrictions on people's mobility (PPKM) and declining people's purchasing power.

Abstract

Ketergantungan nelayan dengan pihak lain menjadi fenomena masih terjadi pada masyarakat nelayan. Kondisi ini terjadi disebabkan banyak faktor, seperti keterbatasan modal dan akses informasi pasar. Terbentuknya pola jaringan sosial pada masyarakat nelayan, diharapkan mampu memperkuat posisi nelayan dalam mengembangkan usahanya, sehingga kemandirian nelayan dapat terbentuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan pola hubungan punggawa dan nelayan berdasarkan perspektif sosial dan ekonomi. Pengumpulan data metode survei dan wawancara terstruktur. Teknik snowball sampling digunakan, di awali dari punggawa sebanyak 2 orang, dan ditelusuri selanjutnya berdasarkan informasi punggawa diperoleh data nelayan sebanyak 33 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi hubungan yang saling menguntungkan (mutualisme), bersifat kekeluargaan dan saling percaya. Dalam perspektif ekonomi, nelayan mendapatkan kepastian untuk menjual hasil tangkapan dan bantuan modal usaha, sedangkan perspektif sosial terjalinnya hubungan kekeluargaan, rasa empati dan kepedulian terhadap kehidupan nelayan.

Abstract

The aim of the research, is to determine the profile of the Rejang Raya Lake fish cultivator group (Pokdakan), and to find out the level of dynamism of the Rejang Raya Lake fish cultivator group (Pokdakan). The sampling method used was the census method with the number of respondents taken as many as 10 respondents. The analytical method used is a Likert scale to determine the level of dynamics of the Rejang Raya Lake fish cultivator group for each indicator: group goals, group structure, group tension, group effectiveness, hidden intentions are in the high category. The level of dynamics of the Rejang Raya Lake Fish Cultivator Group (Pokdakan) cumulatively obtained a score of 79.90, which is at a high level in the range of 63-81 and can be interpreted that the level of dynamics of the group is at high criteria (already dynamic) or the management and members it's been going well.
