Abstract

In soil testing using sondir in the C83 Suites building construction project in Cirebon City, the lowest soil carrying capacity was found at the S-1 point. In this study, an analysis of the carrying capacity of a bore pile with a diameter of 40 centimeters with a depth of 12 meters was carried out to obtain a comparison of calculation results using three methods, namely the LCPC (Bustamante Gianeselli) method, the Schmertmann Nottingham method, and the Direct method. The results of the calculation using the LCPC method (Bustamante Gianselli) obtained Qu= 232,001 tons, Qa = 92,800 tons. Then using the Schmertmann Nottingham method, Qu= 301,764 tons was obtained, Qa = 120,705 tons. Meanwhile, using the Direct method, it was obtained at the S-1 point with Qu= 115,158 tons, Qa = 46,063 tons.

Abstract

Mojoagung Village, Trangkil District, Pati Regency, is one of the major tapioca flour production areas in Central Java, Indonesia. The wastewater generated from tapioca processing is commonly discharged directly into nearby rivers without adequate treatment, causing unpleasant odors, low pH levels, and environmental pollution that may disturb the aquatic ecosystem. This study aimed to design a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) for the tapioca flour industry using an Upflow Anaerobic Filter (UAF) system combined with biofilter media consisting of bioballs, honeycomb media, and pumice stone. The research employed a quantitative analytical method based on wastewater quality testing and hydraulic design calculations. The parameters analyzed included Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), cyanide (CN), and pH. The laboratory results indicated that the BOD, COD, and TSS concentrations met the wastewater quality standards, while the CN and pH parameters did not comply with the applicable standards due to acidic conditions and noticeable discoloration. Based on the design calculations, the proposed WWTP requires a land area of 29.28 m³ with dimensions of 18.3 m in length, 1.6 m in width, and 2.5 m in depth. The estimated construction cost of the WWTP was Rp 69,959,471.109. The proposed UAF-based treatment system is expected to reduce environmental pollution and improve the management of wastewater generated from tapioca flour production.

Abstract

Road damage in the form of holes in flexible pavement can reduce the level of road service and endanger road users. Handling road damage requires effective maintenance methods, good pavement quality, and efficient implementation costs. This study aims to compare the quality and cost of road paving work using the Cold Paving Hot Mix Asbuton (CPHMA) method and the Macadam Penetration Layer (Lapen) method on the Bandar-Tulis Road Section, Batang Regency. The research method used is a quantitative method with data collection through field observation, laboratory testing using the Marshall method, and cost analysis based on Work Unit Price Analysis (AHSP). The quality parameters analyzed included Marshall stability values, flow values, and Marshall Quotient (MQ), while cost aspects were analyzed based on the need for labor, materials, and equipment for every 1 m³ of work. The results of the study showed that the CPHMA method had better pavement quality than the Macadam Penetration Layer method. The Marshall Quotient (MQ) value in the CPHMA method ranges from 63,114–126,562 kg/mm, which indicates the blend's ability to resist deformation and traffic loads better. In terms of implementation, the CPHMA method is more practical and efficient because it uses ready-to-use mixtures so that the work time is faster and the use of equipment is less. Based on the cost analysis, the unit price of the CPHMA method is IDR 6,616,846.56/m³, while the Macadam Penetration Layer method is IDR 2,903,370.78/m³. The cost difference between the two methods is Rp3,713,475.78/m³ or around 56.12%, so that the Macadam Penetration Layer method is more economical than the CPHMA method. Thus, the CPHMA method is superior in terms of quality and efficiency of work implementation, while the Macadam Penetration Layer method is superior in terms of cost. The selection of road patching methods needs to consider the condition of road damage, the need for traffic services, and the availability of the road maintenance budget.

Abstract

Clinic buildings face challenges in improving environmental performance while maintaining operational efficiency and occupant comfort. This study aims to develop an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)-based decision-making framework to prioritize green retrofit criteria for clinic buildings. The research was conducted by identifying relevant criteria and sub-criteria through a literature review and obtaining pairwise comparison judgments from 18 experts. The results indicate that the Economic criterion has the highest priority with a weight of 66.05%, followed by Health & User Comfort (18.96%), Technical (9.26%), and Environmental (5.74%) criteria. These findings suggest that financial feasibility is the primary consideration in green retrofit decision-making, although indoor environmental quality and occupant well-being remain important factors in healthcare facilities. The consistency test produced a Consistency Ratio (CR) of 0.0744, indicating acceptable judgment consistency. Furthermore, sensitivity analysis confirmed that the priority structure remained stable under various weight variation scenarios. Therefore, the proposed AHP framework can serve as a practical decision-support tool for prioritizing green retrofit initiatives in clinic buildings.

Abstract

The Brebes Regional General Hospital which is located on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman No.181 Pangembon, Brebes District, Brebes Regency is one of the hospitals managed by the Brebes Regency government with class B type. There is a problem with parking at the Brebes Regional Hospital, namely there is no balance between the number of parking spaces available with the number of visitor vehicles coming due to limited parking space. Therefore, this research was carried out with the aim of knowing the characteristics of parking. The data taken in this research is primary data in the form of vehicle volume and secondary data in the form of the number of parking spaces at Brebes Regional Hospital. Based on survey and analysis results, it is known that the highest parking volume was 769 motorbikes and 191 cars. The highest parking accumulation was 461 motorbikes and 70 cars. The highest parking index value is 131.7% for motorbikes and 116.7% for cars. The highest average parking duration was for motorbikes, 54.1 minutes and cars, 54.1 minutes. The highest turnover rate for motorbikes is 0.24 vehicles/lot/hour and cars are 0.05 vehicles/lot/hour. The largest dynamic capacity for motorbikes is 3261 units and cars are 574 units.

Abstract

The need for clean water in Wonosalam District increases every year as seen from data from the Demak Regency Central Statistics Agency, where the population of Wonosalam District from 2018 to 2022 has increased, so the need for water is also increasing. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine water needs, water availability, quantity and quality of water and determine the capacity of the reservoir to accommodate clean water. Starting with collecting secondary data, namely population data, data on the number of PDAM customers, source capacity and discharge data, water quality samples. In calculating population growth, population data for the last 5 years is used with predicted calculations until 2032. To calculate this data, the Geometry method, Arithmetic method, and Linear Regression method are used. Then from these calculations, the Arithmetic method was chosen because it has a smaller value. Based on data calculations using the arithmetic method, the value of clean water needs from the population calculation in 2031 is 149,251 liters/second. Meanwhile, the need for clean water for the number of PDAM customers in 2032 is 7,176 liters/second. For the availability of clean water from a source capacity of 10 liters/second and a production discharge of 7,176 liters/second.

Abstract

Currently, train stations are still busy for train passengers, parking capacity requirements are also being considered. This research is motivated by the problem of parking capacity, where there are several points that cause congestion and the direction of the parking lane is less than optimal at Poncol Semarang Station. In overcoming this problem, it is necessary to analyze parking capacity, evaluate problems and alternatives that can be used to solve existing problems. The method used in this research is a descriptive approach. This means that the data collected is not in the form of numerical data, but rather data originating from interview scripts, field notes, personal documents, researcher notes or memos and other official supporting documents which aim to enable researchers to describe the empirical reality behind the conditions that occur at train stations. Poncol Semarang. This research produces parking capacity at the station where the parking area can accommodate 554 SRP for cars and 241 SRP for motorbikes with the most parking accumulation getting the most results on Sunday, August 20 2023, namely in the morning at 06.00-09.00 WIB. Amounting to 157 motorbikes and 100 cars. Alternatives for handling traffic jams during peak parking hours are: moving the motorbike taxi post, improving the direction of the parking lane and moving entrance 2.
