Abstract

The need for student attendance information on campus is the main factor of success academic process. Often there are validation and identification errors in student attendance process (human error or manipulation process) and the slowness of the information obtained, because attendance is recorded manually in every class. This has an impact on the success of the academic process directly and society at large. Due to the importance of attendance information, various research has offered a system in the student attendance process, with various technology. One of the popular technologies and believed to validate and identify well are fingerprints. Therefore, this paper proposes the introduction of absenteeism system on campus by utilizing fingerprint technology that is integrated with PHP programming and MySQL database. This research uses Fingerprint FP Personnel Revo V4.0 as a means of identifying student data when absent. The system will display student attendance quickly so that the attendance recapitulation process can be obtained in a short time. This system is applied to the Informatics study program at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Semarang

Abstract

Technology's rapid evolution has extended its impact into the healthcare field, including the development of artificial intelligence-based expert systems designed to streamline the work processes of nurses and obstetricians. In this research, we use the forward chaining method to build an android-based expert system for diagnosing fetal disorders in pregnant women. This system is made for ease of use on mobile devices by targeting pregnant women where this application provides a self-detection mechanism for pregnancy abnormalities. The test results show a high level of respondent satisfaction with this expert system application, with an average score of 90.16%, indicating a strong acceptance of the quality and functionality of the application. It can be concluded that our proposed expert system application shows a positive response from respondents and is considered successful in providing pregnancy diagnosis services independently.

Abstract

Online loan services like peer-to-peer (P2P) lending enable lenders to transact without bank intermediaries. Predicting which lenders are likely to default is crucial to avoid bankruptcy since lenders bear the risk of default. However, this task becomes challenging when the P2P lending dataset contains numer- ous features. The prediction performance could be improved if the dataset fea- tures are relevant. Hence, applying feature selection to remove redundant and irrelevant features is essential. This paper introduces a novel wrapper feature selection model to identify the optimal feature subset for predicting defaults in P2P lending. The proposed method includes two main phases: feature selection and classification. Initially, grey wolf optimization (GWO) is used to select the best features in P2P lending datasets. Then, the fitness function of GWO is as- sessed using ten different machine learning (ML) models. Experimental results indicate that the proposed model outperforms previous related work, achieving average accuracy, recall, precision, and F1-score of 96.77%, 80.73%, 97.52%, and 80.06%, respectively.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the education system has altered from face-to-face learning to online learning. The sudden pandemic made teachers underprepared either psychologically or pedagogically to teach online learning. Many teachers often faced psychological pressure while preparing for online teaching due to the lack of digital literacy. Teachers now have to overcome pressures for understanding digital literacy. Teachers have issues with: 1) the lack of digital literacy mastery and/or the utilization of digital learning platforms, and 2) the lack of teachers’ ability in creating meaningful learning through the use of digital technology and/or interactive multimedia. By providing the 33 teachers with support and training in digital literacy, those issues could be resolved. The assistance is focused on how to use digital learning platforms and produce android learning and interactive multimedia videos to support the learning process in the classroom. The findings showed that teachers are becoming more knowledgeable about digital literacy, particularly as it relates to the utilization of digital learning platforms and the creation of android learning videos and interactive multimedia learning videos to support the learning process in the classroom. Through the use of digital learning platforms in the classroom, teachers can provide meaningful learning experiences to students and students can actively engage in the learning process. In addition, digital literacy helps teachers increase students’ enthusiasm in the classroom, and students’ autonomous learning.

Abstract

The 84% dissatisfaction rate of e-commerce customers in Indonesia is an important indicator for e-commerce managers to improve service performance and build lasting relationships with online consumers. Various methods can be used by companies to evaluate service quality, and one of the popular ones is E-SERVQUAL. This research uses a qualitative method with a systematic literature review, it is hoped that business practitioners can gain insight into the factors that affect Servqual reliability and customer satisfaction in e-commerce. This research uses the Google Scholar platform to obtain literature, resulting in 7 relevant scientific articles. Converging literature findings over the past five years confirm that improvements in e-service quality consistently result in increased levels of consumer satisfaction with different e-commerce platforms. Online business has played an important role in digital marketing, yet many companies have yet to maximise its potential. With the continuous development in the competitive e-commerce industry, service quality is the key to winning over customers. Companies must be responsive to digital trends and utilise new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Although this study has provided an overview of e-servqual and customer satisfaction in Indonesian e-commerce, future quantitative research would be beneficial to complement the findings and provide deeper insights with quantitative research with methods such as surveys or experiments recommended to examine cause-and-effect relationships and measure variables numerically. Future research could explore less common e-commerce business models, such as crowdfunding platforms, social e-commerce, or specialised online marketplaces.
