Abstract

This research explores the implementation of character education and its associated challenges among students at SDN Pandanwangi 02. The purpose of this research is to explore teachers' efforts in understanding the implementation of character education and addressing various issues in character education such as students' reading delays at the school. This study employs a qualitative research methodology, utilizing observation and interviews as data collection techniques. The results indicate that teachers address issues in character education by providing additional learning for students experiencing reading delays and integrating character education through routine activities such as group prayers and religious studies. However, the implementation of character education faces additional challenges, such as a lack of student discipline in some areas. These findings highlight the importance of character education in elementary schools as the foundation for shaping students' good character. Therefore, further efforts are needed to enhance the effectiveness of character education at SDN Pandanwangi 02 in molding students with desired character values.

Abstract

This research was conducted because there is a need for learning media to support students memory on the material of flower body parts and their functions. Based on this needs analysis, researchers developed science and technology learning media in elementary schools. The aim of this development research is to create pop-up flashcard media in science subjects that is valid according to validators, practical according to teachers and students, and effectively applied in learning, as well as influencing the curious character of students. Research and Development (R&D) and ADDIE are the types and models of research used. The subjects of this research were 9 class IV students at SDN Polehan 05 and 18 class IVA students at SDN Madyopuro 04 Malang. Based on research results, the pop-up flashcard media was declared valid, practical, effective, and had an effect on students curiosity. Abstract

Research on the effectiveness of educational game learning media “APAN” on the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students has been carried out and tested on 46 fifth grade students of SDN Kalirejo, using a Quasi Experimental Design research design and research design using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study amounted to 66 students spread over 3 parallel classes and the research sample amounted to 46 students taken with simple random sampling technique. Data collection through tests. Data analysis used the Paired Samples t-Test and Independent Samples t-Test tests which had been tested for the prerequisite assumptions of normality and homogeneity of the data. The results of the Paired Samples t-Test test obtained a p-value

Abstract

The study was conducted to test the effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on ispring suite 9 on students' independent character. The research design was one group pretest-posttest conducted on one group only by providing a pre-questionnaire and post-questionnaire of independent character. The population used was 33 students with a saturated sampling technique. The variables in the study were the use of interactive multimedia ispring suite 9 as the independent variable and students' independent character as the dependent variable. Abstract

Attractive and effective learning media play an important role in improving the quality of learning and achieving more optimal educational goals. Among various types of learning media, audiovisual media has been proven effective in learning, as stated in previous research. This study aims to examine the effect of using audiovisual media on civic education learning outcomes of elementary school students. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative with literature review method. Of the 20 journals collected, 12 journals met the research criteria. Based on the literature review, it was found that 50% of the previous studies used experimental methods, and the remaining 50% used classroom action research methods. The research sample consisted of various grade levels, with the largest group in grade four. Observation sheets and questions related to the learning material were used as measurement tools to assess student learning outcomes. The research results from the review process show that audio-visual media is very effective in increasing students' participation and understanding in learning.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of jigsaw type cooperative learning model in improving communication skills of elementary school students. This study aims to describe the effect of jigsaw type cooperative learning model on communication skills based on systematic literature review. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review with secondary data sourced from various literature studies. The research stages include data collection, data analysis, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that out of 7 relevant journal articles, the jigsaw model can effectively improve the communication skills of elementary school students. The conclusion of this study is that the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Model shows significant effectiveness in improving the communication skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

Learning science in elementary school requires an approach that encourages students' creative thinking skills. One model that can be used is the RADEC (Read, Ask, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model. This model provides a systematic framework to develop students' creative thinking skills through a series of structured steps. In the RADEC learning model, students are asked to read the subject matter, ask challenging questions, discuss with classmates to share ideas and viewpoints, conduct experiments or direct observations, and create new solutions or products based on their understanding. Through this process, students not only understand science concepts deeply, but are also trained to think critically, analytically and creatively. By applying the RADEC learning model in science learning in elementary schools, it is expected to create an innovative generation that is able to face future challenges with strong creative thinking skills. This model provides a solid foundation for the development of students' creative potential and prepares them to become future leaders who are able to create new solutions in the world of science and technology.

Abstract

Motivated by the current low literacy of elementary school students, this research aims to analyze the literacy crisis in elementary school students in Indonesia through the systematic literature review (SLR) method by collecting data from previous research results within the last eight years related to low literacy, elementary school literacy, and literacy crisis. The search for research articles uses publish or perish application with the google scholar database and is carried out with three SLR stages starting from planning, implementation, and reporting. The results of this study show that low literacy can be a literacy crisis in the younger generation. Therefore, the solution offered to overcome the literacy crisis in elementary schools starts with the Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create a critical thinking-based instructional media called DISCA (Digital Smart Card) for energy conversion materials that is valid according to subject matter experts, media experts, teachers, practical according to students, and effective in stimulating students' critical thinking skills. This R&D process employs the ADDIE model. The critical thinking-based DISCA refers to Facione with indicators adapted to Piaget's cognitive development for fourth-grade elementary school, which include analysis, evaluation, and explanation. The results showed that the product received average percentage of 93.75% indicating a "very valid" category. In practicality with average percentage of 98.8% categorized as "very practical." The effectiveness in stimulating critical thinking skills using the N-Gain Score showed that it was with a score of 80,19% indicating an “effective”. These research, it can be concluded that the DISCA for energy conversion materials for fourth-grade elementary school students is considered very valid, considered very practical, effective in stimulating critical thinking. Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive digital guide for magnetism experiments to empower problem solving skills among fouth-grade school students. The guide is intended to be valid according to experts, practical for users, and effective in enchancing students problem solvinf abilities. The research follows the five stage of the ADDIE Model, which are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data analysis techniques include both qualitative and quantitative methods. The result of this media development project show that the material validation achieved a score of 98%, media validation reached 98% and user validation received 99%, all categorized as highly valid. In terms of practically during testing phase, a percentage of 98,67% was obtained, indicating a high level of practicality. Therefore, the research and development of this interactive digital guide for magnetism ecperiments, designed to enchance problem solving skills among fourth-grade elementary school students, is highly valid according to experts in the field, practical according to users, and effective according to students.
