Abstract

Wabah Covid-19 yang melanda dunia menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan dalam sistem pelaksanaan pendidikan khusuna proses pembelajaran. Proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring sehingga model, pendekatan, metode dan strategi pembelajaran tidak berjalan optmal. Akibat dari dampak tersebut maka terjadinya penurunan minat belajar matematika (learning loss) siswa SMPN Nunufafi.  Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu pihak sekolah dalam melakukan analisis kemampuan siswa selama pembelajaran daring guna mencarikan solusi dari learning loss yang dialami oleh siswa. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah dengan metode diagnostic test berdasarkan taksonomi SOLO untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa, saat melaksanakan kegiatan Belajar dari Rumah. Hasil analisis kemampuan siswa menunjukkan bahwa  persentase kemampuan siswa pada level prastruktural sebesar 64,70%, level unistruktural sebesar 17,64%, level multistruktural sebesar 11,8% , relasional sebesar 5,9%, extended abstract sebesar 0%.Kata kunci : Kemampuan Siswa, Learning Loss, Taksonomi Solo

Abstract

Matematika yang berkembang di masyarakat budaya sudah ada sebelum adanya pendidikan formal. Matematika ini dipraktekkan dalam aktivitas budaya salah satunya adalah aktivitas tenunan pada masyarakat TTS Desa Noinbila. Konsep-konsep matematika dalam aktivitas menenun merupakan hasil warisan leluhur dari generasi ke generasi pada masyarakat desa Noinbila sampai saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep matematika dalam aktivitas menenun tertuma konsep transformasi geometri. Subjek penelitian diambil dengan metode purposive sampling pada sebuah kelompok tenun yaitu kelompok tenun Sehati yang berlokasi di desa Noinbila kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS). Objek penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil 2 sampel tenunan secara incidental saat terjadi proses tenunan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya konsep transformasi geometri yaitu konsep pergeseran (Translasi), konsep Pencerminan (Refleksi).

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat memberikan kemudahan berbagai pihak untuk menggunakannnya sebagai sarana penunjang pendidikan. Geogebra merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran kalkulus I yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alat bantu untuk mendemonstrasikan atau memvisualisasikan dan mengkonstruksi konsep-konsep secara matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan teknologi informasi terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain True Experimental Design dengan Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji paired sample t test. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan atau peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa dari pre test ke post test yaitu 55,16 menjadi 70,64, dan hasil out put SPSS menunjukkan nilai sig (2-tailed) adalah sebesar 0,000 lebih dari . Dengan demikian, penggunaan teknologi informasi berupa aplikasi geogebra dalam pembelajaran kalkulus I pada mahasiswa semester II Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, FIP, Universitas Timor sangat berpengaruh terdahap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Abstract

Mathematics learning carried out at SMP Kristen Kefamenanu refers to a teacher-centered learning system. Microsoft Excel is one application that can be used as a medium for learning mathematics to make it easier for students to solve problems, especially those related to the presentation of graphs. SMP Kristen Kefamenanu has a Computer Laboratory which also has a Microsoft Excel application. The purpose of this service is to provide Charting training using Microsoft Excel as a means of mathematics learning tool to students in SMP Kristen Kefamenanu. The activity was carried out for two days, and during the course of the activity students showed enthusiasm and were able to follow directions during the activity. The results of feedback given by students on the answers to the satisfaction questionnaire showed that students gave categories of strongly agree and agree on 18 questions. This shows that the existence of PKM activities that have been carried out can help students better understand mathematics lessons delivered at school, as well as increase knowledge for students in using Microsoft Excel as a tool for mathematics learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan video pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan discovery learning guna meningkatkan pemahaman konsep Pola Bilangan dengan valid; menghasilkan video yang mudah diimplementasikan; dan menciptakan materi video yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep tersebut. Penelitian ini mengadopsi metode Research & Development (R & D) dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang mencakup validasi, tes, angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video pembelajaran berbasis Lectora Inspire yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat validitas yang tinggi, praktis, dan efektif. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan melalui hasil validasi dari tiga validator yang mencapai 87,75%, tanggapan positif dari 25 siswa yang mencapai 76,3%, dan peningkatan signifikan dalam hasil post-test yang diperoleh oleh siswa.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model on students' mathematical communication ability. This research uses quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental approach. This research design uses a pretest-postest control group design. The participants of this study were grade X students of one of the high schools in North Central Timor Regency. This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year The research instrument was in the form of a mathematical communication ability test and observation sheets. The results of this study show that jigsaw-type cooperative learning is effective in improving students' mathematical communication ability. this is illustrated by the results of research that shows that the achievement and improvement of mathematical communication ability of students who learn through the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model is better than students who learn through conventional models

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' problem-solving abilities through a constructivist approach. This study uses quantitative methods in the form of pre-experimental. This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year This research design used one group pretest and post-test. The participants of this study were 17 grade X students of one of the high schools in North Central Timor district. Research instruments in the form of problem-solving ability tests. Before conducting data analysis, a prerequisite test is first carried out, namely a normality test using the SPSS-assisted Shapiro-Wilk test, and the results obtained that the data is normally distributed. Test the hypothesis using a one-sample t-test and a paired sample t-test. The results showed that students who learned using the constructivist approach achieved minimal completeness and there was an increase in the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who learned through the constructivism approach. Learning with a constructivist approach can facilitate the problem-solving ability of high school students. Therefore, it is recommended that advanced researchers in order to be able to apply constructivist approaches to other mathematical abilities

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop valid, practical, and handout media effectof. This type of study is research and development. This research uses Plom model which consists of five phases, namely preliminary investigation, design, realization/construction, test, evaluation and revision, and implementation. Subject in this study includes experts, teachers and 15 students of class XI Mathematics and Natural Sciences at one of the Senior High Schools in Kefamenanu city, Indonesia. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and tests. The validator consists of one lecturer in mathematics education and one mathematics teacher who assessed the quality of the handout media and the results of the assessment were declared valid. The level of practicality after being tested on students obtained a presentation score 83.49% so it is categorized as very practical, and also based on effectiveness test results obtained 81% of student grades in the very effective category. Thus, you can It was concluded that the handout media developed could facilitate solving ability’s algebraic function derivative problems are very valid, very practical, and very effective.

Abstract

Reasoning is needed by students to solve trigonometry problems that are considered difficult to solve. So, the researcher conducted a study to determine students' mathematical reasoning skills in solving trigonometric problems. This type of research is descriptive research with qualitative methods. The subjects of this study were 3 students of class XII in one of the senior high schools in North Central Timor district. Data collection techniques were test questions and interviews. From the results of the study, it was concluded that high category mathematical reasoning ability was able to fulfill 4 reasoning indicators, medium category mathematical reasoning ability was able to fulfill 2 reasoning indicators, while low category reasoning ability only fulfilled 1 reasoning ability indicator.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the material on systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV) class VIII SMPN Sekon. This research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year in Sekon. The population in this study were all students in class VIII of Sekon State Middle School with a sample size of 22 students. The research instrument used was a test of conceptual understanding ability and mathematical problem solving ability. The research method used is a qualitative research design. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that students with high level problem solving abilities are students who can work on and explain again what has been done according to the existing problem solving stages, while students with medium level problem solving abilities are students who can work on half of the questions. given and can explain again according to the stages of the questions that have been worked on and for students with low level problem solving abilities, these are students who can only understand the problem in the question but cannot carry out the calculation process to the final stage or conclusion and are also not able to explain again what was said. already written
