Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the influence of drum band extracurricular learning on self-confidence and responsibility among early childhood learners. The research methodology adopts a qualitative approach, specifically a Case Study design. Descriptive data is obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the school principal, two teacher assistants, two coaches, and parents of students from TK Bhayangkari 87 Mojosari. Data analysis involves data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal that the coaching model utilized direct instructional methods, where coaches demonstrated and provided examples to the children. The drill method, involving repetition, was also employed. Initially, the coach introduced the instruments to the children and allocated them into groups based on the drum band instruments. The evaluation process involved addressing issues raised during each meeting. Additionally, coaches optimized learning through the use of rewards and punishments. The impact of the drum band extracurricular at TK Bhayangkari 87 Mojosari includes fostering self-confidence, independence, socialization skills, and responsibility among the children. These results highlight the effectiveness of the learning strategies employed in the extracurricular program in enhancing holistic development among early childhood learners.

Abstract

The function of reservoirs is crucial for storing water, especially during the rainy season. The ongoing issue at Pogar Reservoir is the barren condition of the area and the limited knowledge among the community regarding the reservoir's role in climate control. Based on these issues, efforts are needed to raise community awareness of the importance of reservoirs through revitalization activities at Pogar Reservoir. The community service method used is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. This service was carried out by a team in coordination with the local government. Additionally, socialization was conducted to help the community understand the proper management of the reservoir. The revitalization program was then implemented in the areas around the reservoir by planting Petai trees and others. The results of this service were appreciated by the local government and the community, with tree planting in the reservoir area, restoring the reservoir's function as a better-maintained green area, and turning it into a potential village tourism destination that supports local economic growth and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This revitalization also created job opportunities for the local community, and the previously barren reservoir area has become greener and better maintained.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine innovative school leadership management in order to improve school quality. Innovation strategies in the aspects of school leadership include the promotion of the work ethic of human resources, implementation of the curriculum, learning methods and media, and school facilities and infrastructure. This research was conducted by direct field observation at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Inovasi, Malang, thus involving in depth interview and repeated observations. This research applied qualitative approach with descriptive analysis to describe the object of study comprehensively. The results showed that school management based on innovation as a strategy to improve school quality had proven successful. In the end, the school experienced an increase in the number of enrolled students, academic and non-academic achievements. Moreover, the number of graduates who continued to a higher level was doubled.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan seberapa jauh peran pondok pesantren dalam membantu mengembangkan lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) sehingga berkualitas dan diminati oleh Masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 5 orang, kepala PAUD, guru, 2 orang tua, 1 orang pengurus pesantren bagian pendidikan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan Teknik Milles and Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran pondok pesantren yang signifikan dalam mengembangkan lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini Mambaus Sholihin Kids. Diantara bentuk dukungannya berupa bantuan fasilitas sekolah, guru serta branding ke Masyarakat agar segera dikenal Masyarakat. Hasilnya lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini Mambaus Sholihin Kids diminati oleh Masyarakat serta memiliki citra yang baik.

Abstract

Generally, schools with good quality and reputation have a high level of work culture and discipline. However, not all school principals are capable of forming a disciplined work culture. In fact, they tend to overlook teacher discipline behavior. SMAN 7 Kota Kediri is one of the quality educational institutions that has been able to achieve various achievements. It turns out that the quality and achievements of educational institutions are due to the principal's establishment and habituation of disciplined behavior within the school organization. The research method used in this study is qualitative method. Data was obtained using interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of the study indicate that the progress of SMAN 7 Kota Kediri is obtained due to disciplined behavior and becomes a school culture. In forming a disciplinary culture, the principal uses methods in several stages starting from: consistent socialization of disciplinary policies in evaluation meetings, forming teams to monitor the implementation of disciplinary behavior in the field, optimizing disciplinary behavior using checklock attendance tools, and giving preventive and curative sanctions to teachers who violate disciplinary policies. In order for disciplinary behavior to become a school disciplinary culture, the principal sets an example and provides exemplary behavior in every activity at school. In conclusion, the principal's strategy in optimizing teacher performance through habituation of disciplinary behavior runs effectively and successfully formed in the school organization as a work culture system.

Abstract

Pada zaman modern ini lembaga pendidikan pondok pesantren mau tidak mau harus diubah sistem pengelolaannya agar dapat menghadapi tantangan zaman. Jika tidak maka akan ditinggal masyarakat dan tidak laku. Di antara tuntutan agar dapat mempertahankan eksistensinya maka harus mampu menghasilkan lulusan yang tidak saja menguasai ilmu agama saja namun juga mampu berwirausaha secara mandiri. Pondok Pesantren Al Falah Ploso juga salah satu pondok yang cukup tua namun juga menambahkan kewirausahaan kepada santrinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Adapun sumber data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ialah pondok pesantren Al Falah Ploso Kediri telah membangun Al Falah Ploso Bakery pada tahun 2020 dengan produk kue dengan berbagai jenisnya. Al Falah Ploso Bakery dalam waktu yang relatif singkat telah berkembang pesat. Kesimpulannya ialah Al Falah Ploso Bakery dikelola dan menerapkan manajemen dengan baik mulai perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi, serta pengawasan. Selain itu untuk mengoptimalkan maka promosi dilakukan dengan metode offline dan online. Selanjutnya dilakukan juga promosi secara langsung ke masyarakat (face to face), mempromosikan di acara rutin pondok, menitipkan kue ke pondok mitra kerja sama. Selain itu juga melakukan promosi melalui media sosial (website, IG, FB dan lainnya).

Abstract

Community service activities were carried out in Panjer Village, Plosoklaten District, Kediri Regency, targeting the village's PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) women. The purpose of this activity was to enhance creativity, particularly among the PKK women, by introducing new innovations to process unripe papayas into food products, specifically papaya chips. This initiative aimed to increase the economic value of papayas processed into chips, create new business opportunities for the PKK women, and contribute to the local community's economy. The stages of the activity included observation and communication between the IAIN Kediri KKN community service team and the residents of Panjer Village. Preparations were then made, followed by the implementation of the activity, which involved delivering material on how to process unripe papayas into culinary products such as chips and conducting practical workshops on making the chips. An evaluation was conducted by the community service team to assess the participants' understanding of the chip-making process. The results of this community service activity showed that participants were able to produce their own papaya chips, which can serve as a family snack or as a potential business opportunity to generate additional income. Moreover, it demonstrated the effective use of locally available materials to create economically valuable products, whether on a group or individual basis.

Abstract

Artikel pengabdian masyarakat ini mendeskripsikan tentang pendampingan pembelajaran fiqih wanita pada santri TPQ. hal ini perlu dilakukan karena agar anak, khususnya yang perempuan bisa memiliki pemahaman tentang fiqih wanita yang nantinya bisa diterapkan dalam kehidupannya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dimaksudkan untuk memperkuat pemahaman para santri terhadap masalah fiqih kewanitaan yang membahas tentang haid, jenis darah, khasiat darah, masa suci haid, beserta tata cara bersucinya. Dengan latar belakang masih banyak masyarakat awam yang belum memahami tentang fiqih kewanitaan tersebut. Terutama gadis remaja tidak mengerti terhadap fiqih kewanitaan, karena materi tersebut sangat penting diterapkan karena keterkaitan dengan masalah ibadah sholat dan lain-lain. metode pengabdian ini menggunakan metode pendampingan oleh tim pengabdian melalui ceramah, tanya jawab dan diskusi. objek kegiatan dilakukan di dua TPQ, yakni TPQ Al-Falah dan TPQ Roudlotul Musthofa Desa Tunglur Kecamatan Badas Kabupaten Kediri.  Metode pembelajaran dari kedua TPQ tersebut yaitu metode ceramah, metode tanya jawab, dan metode diskusi. Dari hasil kegiatan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pendampingan ini sangat bermanfaat terhadap peserta didik karena dengan adanya materi tersebut dapat menjadi solusi tentang permasalahan yang di alami dalam fiqih kewanitaan dan ketentuan ibadah dalam kesehariannya. selain itu orang tua juga merasa sangat puas karena merasa terbantu dan memang sebagian dari mereka memang masih awam terhadap pengatahuan fiqih wanita ini.
