Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the integration of Islam and science in Islamic Religious Education subjects at the Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Batam City so far and to find out a model of the integration of religion and science in Islamic Religious Education subjects that are relevant to the context of the Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Batam City. To answer the research questions, the research approach used is a qualitative approach. Research data were collected using observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data is then analyzed using a qualitative approach. The results of the analysis show that first, there has been no integration of religion and science in Islamic Religious Education subjects at the Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Batam City so far. Second, based on field data and analysis of the relevant literature, the researcher found a model of the integration of religion and science in Islamic Religious Education subjects that was relevant to the context of the Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Batam City. The model in question is a Two-Way Thematic model. With the design of this integration model based on problems and needs in the field as well as relevant theories, this model is considered capable of being a solution for the unimplemented integration of religion and science in Islamic Religious Education subjects at the Integrated Islamic High School in Batam City.

Abstract

A project-based learning method is required to develop students' scientific thinking in akidah akhlak (moral theology). This study employed a phenomenological approach to investigate whether and to what extent identity processes and Islamic behavior are developing project-based learning methods for madrasah aliyah teachers of moral theology. It involved twenty moral theology teachers and in-depth interviews to reveal the narrative of teachers' practice in using project-based learning methods. Thematic analysis of twenty teachers' two-group interviews showed that teachers' personal beliefs provided a religiously motivated narrative framework that aided in interpreting one's experiences. Individual Islamic behavior, religiosity, and identity creativity play a role in developing project-based learning methods for moral theology. In addition to attributing creativity from a God-given personality to learning in moral theology, the primary bond in developing project-based learning methods is the application of Islamic principles and Islamic behavior. Following the learning of moral theology, students' identities, Islamic behavior, and scientific thinking, the use of project-based learning methods by madrasah teachers experienced a significant increase in quality. Finally, the findings of this exploratory study indicate that Islamic behavior and personal identity can enhance project-based learning methods. Large-scale research could provide more evidence to reconsider the role of religious education in teacher training as an essential factor in developing project-based learning methods for moral theology teachers.

Abstract

Dalam lanskap teknologi yang serba cepat saat ini, penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) telah muncul sebagai elemen penting dari inovasi dan perluasan pendidikan. R&D adalah metode yang mencakup berbagai kegiatan yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk, layanan, atau informasi baru. Penelitian ini menawarkan ringkasan menyeluruh tentang perdebatan dan landasan teoritis R&D sebagai metodologi penelitian, dengan fokus pada pendidikan. Pendekatan studi yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur, dengan fokus pada konsep dan potensinya untuk mendorong inovasi dalam pendidikan sebagai alat penelitian dan keterkaitan. Literatur tersebut bersumber dari Scopus, Web of Science Master Journal List, Google Scholar, dan Sciencedirect antara tahun 2020 hingga 2025. Temuan studi ini menunjukkan bahwa penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) adalah bagian penting dari strategi dalam kemajuan pendidikan dan bahwa manajemen R&D yang sukses diperlukan untuk memenuhi tujuan pendidikan

Abstract

Hasil akhir dari sebuah proses pendidikan adalah pembentukan karakter. Penelitian ini menggali Tafsir al-Azhar karya Buya Hamka untuk menguji perspektifnya tentang pendidikan karakter, dengan meneliti terminologi yang ia gunakan untuk menjelaskan maknanya. Menurut Buya Hamka, pendidikan karakter memiliki implikasi yang sangat besar bagi pendidikan nasional saat ini. Melalui pendekatan penelitian kualitatif yang berpusat pada investigasi berbasis kepustakaan, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi konseptualisasi Buya Hamka dengan menggunakan sumber-sumber primer dan sekunder. Ada banyak terminologi yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan karakter, namun dalam Tafsir al-Azhar, Buya Hamka menggunakan istilah ta'lim dan tarbiyyah sebagai padanan untuk pendidikan karakter. Dalam menjelaskan ayat-ayat tersebut, beliau sering menggunakan istilah akhlak karimah dan budi pekerti untuk menjelaskan makna karakter. Menurutnya, pendidikan karakter hanya akan membuahkan hasil jika dilandasi oleh nilai-nilai ketuhanan dan kesadaran diri bahwa manusia adalah hamba dan menjadi khalifah di muka bumi. Hal inilah yang membedakan konsep pendidikan karakter Buya Hamka dengan konsep pendidikan karakter pada umumnya, terutama dalam konteks Barat.   The final outcome of an educational process is the formation of character. This study delves into Buya Hamka's Tafsir al-Azhar to examine his perspective on character education, by scrutinizing the terminology he uses to elucidate its significance. According to Buya Hamka, character education holds profound implications for national education today. Through a qualitative research approach centered on library-based investigation, this study explores Buya Hamka's conceptualizations using primary and secondary sources. There are many terminologies related to character education, but in Tafsir al-Azhar, Buya Hamka uses the terms ta’lim and tarbiyah as equivalents for character education. In explaining these verses, he often uses the terms akhlak karimah and budi pekerti to elucidate the meaning of character. According to him, character education will only yield results if it is based on divine values and the self-awareness that humans are servants and serve as vicegerents in the world. This is the distinguishing aspect of Buya Hamka's concept of character education compared to general concepts of character education, especially those in Western contexts

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi hasil belajar siswa dalam pendidikan islam pada kurikulum merdeka di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Se-Kota Pekanbaru dan factor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasinya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Informan meliputi kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan menganalisis dan menginterpretasi secara kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi hasil belajar siswa dalam pendidikan islam pada Kurikulum Merdeka dari segi pemahaman guru terhadap implementasi kurikulum Merdeka secara umum berada dalam kategori cukup efektif/sedang, sementara dari segi pelaksanaan kurikulum Merdeka berada dalam kategori baik dan hasil belajar siswa dalam implementasi kurikulum Merdeka berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Faktor pendukung implementasi hasil belajar siswa dalam pendidikan islam pada Kurikulum Merdeka pada Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri se-Kota Pekanbaru adalah Pelatihan dan Pengembangan Profesional Guru, Motivasi dan Keterlibatan Siswa, Pembelajaran Kolaboratif, Pengakuan atas Keberagaman Siswa, Ketersediaan Sumber Daya Pembelajaran, Dukungan Kepemimpinan Sekolah dan Keterlibatan Orang Tua dan Masyarakat. Sementara faktor penghambat implementasi yaitu Kurangnya kesiapan Guru, Minat dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa yang Rendah, Ketidakmampuan Siswa dalam Berkolaborasi, Kesulitan Siswa dalam Mengatur Waktu dan Tugas, Keterbatasan perangkat teknologi pembelajaran, Kondisi Lingkungan Pembelajaran yang tidak mendukung, dan Keterbatasan Waktu.

Abstract

Learning freedom could be said as the autonomy in the education field. Educational autonomy policies were revived back in this era. Liberating educational units, teachers, and students could stimulate the emergence of new innovations. Students could learn independently and creatively, so all Indonesian students from various ethnicities and cultures could have their own different ways in learning. This research aimed at knowing the implementation of Mardeka learning curriculum on Islamic Education subject at UPT State Junior High School 1 Tapung. The problems in this research were: 1) how the implementation of Mardeka learning curriculum on Islamic education subject was, 2) what the supporting factors of the implementation of the Mardeka learning curriculum on Islamic education subject were, 3) what the obstructing factors of the implementation of the Mardeka learning curriculum on Islamic Education subject was at UPT State Junior High School 1 Tapung. The data were analyzed by using qualitative analysis, namely analysis and interpretation conducted critically, and using analytical descriptive technique, namely describing and classifying data, followed by interpretation of thoughts. The research findings showed that; first, the implementation of Maedeka learning curriculum on Islamic education subject was in good category based on several items conducted by the teachers, as manager, the school principal of UPT State Junior High School 1 Tapung has been able to improve the teachers competences in the environment and he was able to manage this educational institution, so the goals were achieved. Second, the supporting factors of the implementation of Mardeka learning curriculum on Islamic education subject at UPT State Junior High School 1 Tapung were teachers’ psychology, student intelligence, very good facilities, and infrastructure. Meanwhile, the obstructing factors of implementation of Mardeka learning curriculum were the Ministry of National Education was not regularly disseminating information to schools, and there was a lack of training organized by the government regarding the independent learning curriculum.

Abstract

This study was conducted to identify the influence of motivation, discipline, and self-efficacy on Arabic language learning outcomes at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Batam City. The background of this study is the importance of these factors in improving the quality of Arabic language learning at the junior high school level. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of these three variables on student learning outcomes. The research method used was a quantitative approach with a survey technique, where data was collected through questionnaires distributed to students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Batam City. The results showed that motivation, discipline, and self-efficacy partially and simultaneously had a significant and positive influence on Arabic language learning outcomes. In conclusion, to improve Arabic language learning outcomes at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Batam City, an effective strategy is needed to increase learning motivation, strengthen discipline, and develop self-efficacy in students.

Abstract

This study explores the delivery of Al-Qur'an learning, focusing on using the talaqqi method for Senior High School (SMA) students. Although the talaqqi method is considered traditional, its approach can be adapted to current conditions and technological developments through an integrative strategy that combines both conventional and progressive aspects. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method at the Darul Rahman Integrated Islamic Senior High School (SMAIT) in Tempuling District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau. Data were collected through interviews with school principals, Al-Qur'an teachers, and Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers and through observations. They were analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The results indicate that the process of Al-Qur'an learning using the talaqqi method is conducted by adapting cooperative learning, taking place collaboratively with holistic cooperation, namely partnerships between schools and the community. Second, the learning process incorporates various types of technology and learning media in an integrated manner, combining conventional and digital aspects to accommodate diverse student learning styles. In conclusion, the talaqqi method can be effectively adapted to contemporary educational contexts through cooperative learning and technology integration. This study implies that schools should foster stronger partnerships with parents and the community and develop teacher competencies in using conventional and digital learning media to enhance students' learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a quality model of graduates of the Hidayatullah Education Foundation in the Riau Islands Province. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Research participants consisted of foundation managers, teachers, students, and alumni. The results of the study indicate that the Quality of Graduates of the Hidayatullah Education Foundation of the Riau Islands Province with First, instilling Islamic aqidah Second, building ideals to uphold Islam as a consequence of Islamic aqidah. Third, equipping oneself with ritual worship, building a relationship with Allah as a source of haul and quwwah. Fourth, inviting to appear kegelanggal conveying amat Islam. And fifth, building a complete Islam by presenting an Islamic personal/family/environment figure. The five aspects are summarized in three components, namely Tarbiyah Ruhiyah, tarbiyah aqliyah and tarbiyah amaliyah/ jismiyah which are then taught or applied in Education in the family, Education in schools and Education in the community. The development of graduate quality of the Hidayatullah Education Foundation of the Riau Islands Province is carried out by instilling three things, namely character, competence and customer satisfaction. In addition, character building through discipline, religious, hard work and responsibility, and freedom from bullying.

Abstract

This study examines the learning of Quran memorization in realizing Quranic resources at SMPIT Batam City. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning of Quran memorization, identify the challenges faced by teachers, describe the factors that influence learning, and determine the methods used in learning Quran memorization at SMPIT Batam City. The study was conducted in four schools: SMPIT Ulil Albab, SMPIT Fajar Ilahi Batu Aji, SMPIT Fajar Ilahi Sungai Beduk, and SMPIT El-Yasin. The research method used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results showed that the four schools implemented a tahfidz program with different characteristics. SMPIT Ulil Albab implemented the most structured program with five main methods (Talaqqi, Tikrar, Muraja'ah, Wahdah, and Jama') and the Munaqosyah evaluation system. SMPIT Fajar Ilahi (both branches) focused on the joint muroja'ah method and independent memorization with differentiation programs such as AOT (Acceleration of Tahfidz). SMPIT El-Yasin used a more flexible approach. The success rate of the program varied between 60-70%, with SMPIT El-Yasin recording the highest success rate. Spiritual impacts were consistently seen in all schools, including improvements in the quality of worship, prayer discipline, and improvements in student morals. The main challenges faced included limited learning time, a less than ideal teacher-student ratio, and limited learning media. In conclusion, despite variations in implementation and methodology, all four schools succeeded in achieving the main goal of forming a Qur'anic generation. Key success factors included a systematic approach, realistic targets, intensive guidance through the halaqoh system, and effective collaboration between teachers, students, and parents.
