Abstract

This research was conducted by mixing coal and Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) waste. This study aimed to determine the smoke resulting from burning briquettes with a calorific value of 9,187 Kcal/gr. Judging from the emission levels of carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and nitrogen oxides (NO2), it becomes a consideration for the feasibility of briquettes be produced as alternative fuels, harmful or not for human health and the surrounding environment. They are first testing the quality of the briquettes and the smoke emissions from burning briquettes. From the test results, the sulfur content is 0.01%, the moisture content is 1.15%, the ash content is 10.22%, the volatile matters are 87.76%, and the calories are 9187.64 Kcal/gr. Then the smoke resulting from burning briquettes was tested for emission levels of carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and nitrogen oxides (NO2). The results obtained with a high value and exceed the maximum standard that has been set by PERMEN ESDM No. 047 of 2006, namely CO 13715 mg/Nm3 and SO 2550 mg/Nm3, while the NO 2 produced does not exceed the maximum standard set by PERMEN ESDM No. 047 of 2006 which is 7 mg/Nm3. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the briquettes produced have the potential to pollute the environment and are dangerous if inhaled at high levels by humans. The resulting briquettes are also unfit to be produced as an alternative fuel.

Abstract

PT Kalrez Petroleum Seram Ltd is a company engaged in the oil and gas mining sector. The company started operations in 2001 and is part of South Sea Petroleum Holdings Ltd, based in Hong Kong. This study aims to analyze the base sectors that can support economic growth and examine the potential of the mining and quarrying sector in supporting economic development in the region. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from various related agencies, one of which is the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The data analyzed includes the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) of Eastern Seram Regency and Maluku Province based on constant prices by business field in the 2011-2020 period. This study uses Location Quotient (LQ) and shift-share analysis methods to identify the base sector and analyze the dynamics of economic growth. The results of the analysis show that the base sectors in this area include the fisheries, forestry, and agriculture sectors with an LQ value of 1.06; mining and quarrying sector with an LQ value of 11.37; real estate services with an LQ value of 1.13; and health services and social activities with an LQ value of 1.07. However, the growth of the value of GDP in the mining sector during the 2011-2020 period experienced a significant decrease, namely -6,323.94 million rupiah. Other growth indicators, namely the Proportional Growth Contribution (KPP) of -0.22 and the Regional Growth Contribution (KPPW) of -0.14, also show that the mining and quarrying sector is relatively slow in growth, although it remains competitive at the regional level. The decline in the value of KPP and KPPW with a negative sign (-) in the mining and quarrying sector confirms that this sector is experiencing suboptimal growth. Although its competitiveness is relatively still there, this persistent decline indicates the need for more attention to improving efficiency and innovation within the sector. This is important so that the mining and quarrying sector can contribute more to improving the regional economy in a sustainable manner. To support the development of this sector, strategic policies, investment in technology, and synergy between the government and industry players are needed to overcome existing challenges

Abstract

PT Tawabu Mineral Resource (TMR) merupakan perusahaan pertambangan batubara yang beroperasi di Kalimantan Timur. Sistem penambangan pada PT TMR merupakan sistem tambang terbuka. Metode tambang terbuka juga tidak terlepas dari masalah air yang masuk ke dalam area penambangan. Air hujan tidak hanya mempengaruhi area pit saja tetapi juga mempengaruhi luas area yang menjadi area tangkapannya Curah hujan yang tinggi menyebabkan air yang berasal dari limpasan permukaan dapat menggenangi lantai dasar dan menyebabkan bercampurnya front penambangan. Volume air yang limpasan yang terus bertambah pada sump akan menyebabkan masalah yang serius pada proses penambangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui luas catchment area, debit air yang masuk ke daerah penambangan, jumlah pompa yang dibutuhkan dan dimensi settling pond yang digunakan untuk treatment air sebelum dialirkan ke sungai. Penelitian dimulai dengan studi literatur, pengambilan data lapangan, pengolahan data, analisis data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengamatan langsung di lokasi penambangan dilakukan untuk mengetahui keadaan aktual di lapangan, debit limpasan hujan dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus rasional dan Luasan catchment area ditentukan dengan mengambil gambar di lapangan kemudian gambar yang telah didapatkan dimasukkan kedalam software Global Mapper. Hasil penelitian diperoleh luas daerah tangkapan hujan (catchment area) sebesar 91,54 ha, debit air limpasan yang masuk ke daerah penambangan yaitu sebesar 1.832.263 m3/jam, sehingga dibutuhkan pompa sebanyak tiga unit untuk mengeluarkan air pada lokasi dan volume total dari settling pond yaitu 37.632 m3.

Abstract

Road access is an important factor in the achievement of coal and OB transport targets. Therefore, transport activities must be accompanied by road conditions that are suitable to be used as production routes in accordance with the standards adopted by Bina marga and AASTHO. The purpose of this study is to determine the geometry of mining road and the supporting factor of smoothness and safety at PT. Jhonlin Baratama. The data used in this study are data of road haul road, radius and superelevation, cross slope and road slope. After this data is obtained then processed using software Minescape 5.7 to obtain the count of road length, road width, and elevation. MS Software. Excel to know the evaluation data of high difference, road grade, cross slope, radius and superelevation. Processed data were analyzed based on standards of Bina marga and international AASTHO to determine the feasibility of road geometry. From the results of study that has been done, it is known that the existing haul road already meets the minimum width requirement for a straight road that is 9 m for Hino 320 and 19 m for HD465-7. On the two-lane haul road and on the bend, for Hino 320 already meets the minimum width standard whereas for HD 465-7 it is necessary to add the width of the bend in segment C, F, G, H and I the width addition is intended to prevent dump truck waiting when passed. There are also some road segments whose slope exceeds the standard, which is 8% and does not have a cross slope that has the potential to cause puddles.

Abstract

Electrical energy is one of the basic needs in modern human life. Electricity is very integrated into everyday life, work, or commercial. Indonesian society, urban, already depend on electric energy to run everyday life. The purpose of this study to determine the level of electricity consumption in South Sulawesi and to determine selling value of energy demand to PLN. Stages and research methods undertaken consist of the process stages of research, methods of data retrieval, data processing and stages of data analysis, and the stage of report generation. The data taken are primary data and secondary data, after the data collected data are analyzed to calculate the supply-demand of electrical energy needed by PLN. The composition of electricity demand in the base year (2013) consists of Commercial sector 999,485.90 MWH, industrial sector 859,482.75 MWH, government sector 248,237.97 MWH, social sector 202,789.65 MWH and household sector with 2,568,038,85 MWH. For the year 2015 also still dominated by the household sector with 2,568,038.85 MWH. This figure is the same from 2013. Likewise with the commercial sector which rose to 1,011,709.57 MWH and industrial sector to 861,117.44 MWH. government sector to 249,256.10 MWH and social sector to 204,689.38 MWH. To be able to meet the needs of electrical energy in South Sulawesi, is expected with the power plant PLTU PT. Bosowa Jeneponto Energy with total power generated of 128,877.37 MWH can supply electrical energy for PLN South and West Sulawesi in fulfilling the needs of 100 MW electricity energy every year for new customers, with the selling price of PLTU power plant PT. Bosowa Energy to PLN Rp 500 / Kwh.

Abstract

Dalam dua tahun, Indonesia berencana untuk menambah 30 smelter nikel baru, untuk beberapa di antaranya khusus dirancang untuk menghasilkan nikel baterai. Lingkungan perairan akan menjadi sasaran milyaran ton limbah beracun yang akan di buang ke perairan, salah satu bahan pencemar utama yang terkandung dalam buangan limbah adalah logam berat yang beracun. Adanya logam berat di perairan berbahaya baik secara langsung terhadap Kesehatan manusia, hal ini berkaitan dengan sifat-sifat logam berat yaitu sulit terurai, sehingga mudah terakumulasi dalam lingkungan perairan seperti biota air atau sedimen laut, bahan pencemar logam bila konsentrasi atau keberadaannya tidak terkontrol dapat meracuni biota air maupun manusia. Kualitas air laut yang dig unakan untuk biota laut dan aktivitas lain secara ideal harus memenuhi standar, baik secara fisik, kimia, dan biologi. Kualitas air laut yang meliputi faktor fisika, kimia, dan biologi perlu dimonitor secara kontinu untuk mengetahui kondisi suatu perairan. Pentingnya dilakukan monitoring karena pertumbuhan biota-biota di laut dipengaruhi oleh kondisi kualitas air laut. Setiap jenis biota laut memiliki sensitivitas terhadap parameter-parameter kualitas air laut tertentu. Sehingga, peneliti berinisiatif untuk menganalisis pencemaran logam yang terjadi di perairan sekitar kawasan industri Bantaeng, dengan menggunakan analisis kandungan unsur logam pada perairan tersebut. Untuk mengetahui konsentrasi dari logam tersebut kita menggunakan analisis Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS). Dari hasil analisis tersebut didapatkan unsur logam tembaga (Cu) yang melebihi standar baku mutu air laut, logam timbal (pb) melebihi standar baku mutu air laut, logam raksa (Hg) melebihi standar baku mutu air laut, dan untuk logam nikel (Ni) tidak memiliki standar baku mutu pada area Pelabuhan.

Abstract

Limestone mining for cement plants uses a blasting method to break the material. Blasting production is considered successful when it can achieve production targets based on tonnage of uncovered rock, efficient use of explosives, grain size or rock fragmentation, and environmental impact. This research aims to analyze the blasting geometry on the production results at the research location by knowing the initial design, the actual blasting geometry, and the geometry recommendation using the C.J. Konya method. In addition, researchers also know the explosives used, the production results in the form of material fractionation using the Kuz-Ram method and the tonnage of uncovered rocks. The initial design with a burden of 3.4 m, spacing of 3.4 m, hole depth of 5.9 m, and ANFO explosives per hole of 33 kg produced 147.31 tonnages. The actual geometry with a burden of 1.7 m, spacing of 3.5 m, hole depth of 6.0 m and ANFO explosives per hole of 26.73 kg produced a 77.11 tonnage. The actual geometry resulted in a blasting production of 6,941 tonnes per day, which did not meet the company's production target 10,639. The fragmentation calculation results obtained an average size in the field of 15.29 cm, which meets the required screening or sieve criteria of 0.80 - 1.00 m. The size of the fragments also follows the sieve calculation using the Kuz-Ram method, with a 100 cm sieve passing only 0.01%. Based on this, the company is recommended to make geometry changes to achieve the production tonnage target that has been set.

Abstract

The laterite nickel deposit model provides information about the form of laterite nickel deposits below the surface, which can be used as one of the considerations in the implementation of mining activities. The purpose of conducting this research is to determine the distribution model of nickel laterite deposits in 3 dimensions (3D) and to determine the amount of nickel laterite reserves based on high-grade saprolite ore (HGSO) and low-grade saprolite ore (LGSO) values in the DH Block. In this research, Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) is used to estimate nickel laterite resources, which are applied using mining software Surpac 6.3.2 to produce a model in 3D form. The data used are laterite nickel content data (assay), x, y, and z coordinate data (collar), survey data, and lithology data. Based on IDW estimation results with a Cut Off Grade (COG) value of 1.3 in the DH Block of PT Mitra Karya Agung Lestari, High-Grade Saprolite Ore (HGSO) values were obtained at Ni content > 1.7 and Low-Grade Saprolite Ore (LGSO) at Ni content > 1.3, with a tonnage value of 111.994 tons of HGSO and 371.044 tons of LGSO.

Abstract

Pattappa Village is a village that has the potential for minerals. However, in developing its potential, residents tend to ignore it because they do not know how to manage it. Residents only know that to manage it, they must attract investors. The uniqueness of the mineral excavation potential can be encouraged from a tourism perspective. This can ensure sustainability compared to mining, which has a management life. Community empowerment activities aim to provide an understanding of the potential of mineral excavation-based tourism owned by the village. The implementation is by conducting socialization, filling out questionnaires, and discussing the evaluation of questionnaire results. The activity results showed a paradigm shift in villagers’ development of tourism potential. Residents have the awareness to manage the potential of minerals in geotourism.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini mengeksplorasi potensi pengembangan geowisata di Desa Pattapa Kecamatan Pujananting Kabupaten Barru Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan Indonesia dengan fokus khusus pada pemetaan sumber daya Pasir Silika di daerah tersebut. Studi ini mengkaji ketersediaan, permintaan, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang terkait dengan sumber daya Pasir Silika, serta potensi dampak pertambangan Pasir Silika terhadap lingkungan dan masyarakat setempat. Pemanfaatan data penginderaan jauh dan survei lapangan, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai potensi Pasir Silika di daerah tersebut dan kesesuaiannya untuk master plan geowisata. Temuan pengabdian ini dapat memberikan informasi kepada pembuat kebijakan dan pemangku kepentingan dalam mengembangkan strategi pariwisata berkelanjutan yang menyeimbangkan pertimbangan ekonomi, lingkungan, dan sosial. Ruang lingkup kegiatan terkait dengan pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini ialah melakukan koordinasi dengan pemerintah desa, mensurvei titik-titik ditemukannya potensi bahan galian Pasir Silika, mengambil data koordinat Pasir Silika, mengambil sampel Pasir Silika, dan menganalisis sampel Pasir Silika di laboratorium untuk mengetahui kadar dari Pasir Silika tersebut serta membuat peta sebaran bahan galian Pasir Silika. Luaran dari kegiatan ini yakni informasi kepada pemerintah setempat terkait area sebaran Pasir Silika untuk masterplan geowisata.
