Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the early reading skills of lower-grade students at SD Negeri 09 Tanjung Lay. Early reading is the fundamental stage in the process of learning to read in elementary school, serving as an essential foundation for mastering other language skills. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects consisted of one teacher and 18 first-grade students. Data were collected through observation and interviews focusing on students’ reading abilities. The results showed that out of 18 students, 13 were able to read fluently without spelling out words, while 5 students still faced difficulties in recognizing letters, distinguishing between uppercase and lowercase letters, and remembering words in a text. The main factors contributing to these reading difficulties included delayed letter recognition and limited reading instruction time at school. The teacher played an active role in addressing these challenges through repeated reading activities, providing individualized reading materials, and extending reading practice time. The study concludes that the early reading ability of students at SDN 09 Tanjung Lay is generally good, although more varied teaching strategies and parental involvement are needed to further support students’ reading development. Keywords: Reading Ability, Early Reading, Elementary School Students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas rendah di SD Negeri 09 Tanjung Lay. Membaca permulaan merupakan tahap dasar dalam proses belajar membaca di sekolah dasar yang menjadi fondasi penting bagi penguasaan keterampilan berbahasa lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas satu orang guru dan 18 siswa kelas I. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara yang berfokus pada kemampuan membaca siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 18 siswa, 13 siswa telah mampu membaca lancar tanpa mengeja, sedangkan 5 siswa lainnya masih mengalami kesulitan mengenali huruf, membedakan huruf besar dan kecil, serta mengingat kata dalam bacaan. Faktor penyebab utama kesulitan membaca permulaan di antaranya keterlambatan pengenalan huruf dan keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran membaca di sekolah. Guru berperan aktif dalam mengatasi kesulitan tersebut melalui kegiatan membaca berulang, pemberian bahan bacaan individual, serta penambahan jam belajar membaca. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa di SDN 09 Tanjung Lay tergolong baik, namun masih diperlukan strategi pembelajaran yang bervariasi serta keterlibatan orang tua untuk mendukung keberhasilan siswa dalam belajar membaca. Abstract

Abstract: The aim of carrying out this analysis is to determine the healthy and clean living behavior shown by students in Class IV of SD Negeri 06 Emang Bemban. This research uses a qualitative approach. The subjects in this research are all class IV students, school principals and class IV homeroom teachers. Data analysis methods used to collect, reduce, present and draw conclusions. The results of the research at SDN 06 are indeed about analyzing the behavior of living in a clean and healthy way, namely, washing your hands with water and soap first is good, eating healthy food in the school canteen is not good, using a hygienic and safe toilet is good, the measured exercise routine is good, eliminating mosquito larvae is good, not smoking in educational places is good, measuring height and weight is good, rubbish must be disposed of in the right place.Keywords: Analysis, Clean and Healthy Behavior in Life. Abstrak: Tujuan di lakukannya analisis ini, yaitu untuk mengetahui perilaku hidup sehat dan bersih yang ditunjukkan oleh siswa di kelas IV SD Negeri 06 Emang Bemban. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif.. Subyek dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas IV, kepala sekolah dan wali kelas IV. Metode analisis data yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan, mengurangi, menyajikan, dan mengambil kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian di SDN 06 emang bemban tentang Analisis Perilaku Hidup dengan cara yang bersih dan sehat, yaitu, yang pertama mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun sudah baik, makan makanan sehat di kantin sekolah belum baik, menggunakan jamban yang higienis dan aman sudah baik, rutinitas latihan yang diukur sudah baik, menghilangkan jentik nyamuk sudah baik, tidak merokok di tempat pendidikan sudah baik, mengukur tinggi dan berat badan sudah baik, sampah harus dibuang di tempatnya sudah baik. Abstract

This study aims to systematize basic theoretical and practical issues, conduct a comprehensive survey of conditions in Mathematics teaching, and propose teaching management measures for senior high school and vocational school students in Sekayam and Entikong sub-districts, Border Region. The method used in this study is qualitative, using a survey instrument. The research subjects consisted of 260 respondents, comprising 20 school administrators, 40 teachers, and 200 students from 5 senior high schools and vocational schools. The survey results showed that administrators, teachers, and students all had a positive perception of the importance of teaching and learning mathematics. The teachers and students considered the current level of implementation of mathematics teaching and learning activities to be good, and that teaching in accordance with the Indonesian Ministry of Education's program was running well. Although the survey results show a good assessment, there are several things that need to be improved in the mathematics learning process, namely: 1) the equal distribution of seminars and serious professional development training for vocational school mathematics teachers in the use of facilities and improving the quality of learning; 2) There should be a common understanding of innovation documents between the Education Office, the Management Team and Teachers; 3) There should be a system that facilitates comprehensive administration and is closely related to school performance; and 4) There should be monitoring and evaluation of schools in a uniform and routine manner.   Keywords: Learning Management, Problem Solving, High and Vocational School.
