Abstract

Vocabulary mastery is a crucial component in the process of learning Arabic, especially in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) where the language serves as the primary medium for understanding Islamic teachings through classical literature. Unfortunately, many female students (santriwati) lack motivation in memorizing vocabulary (mufradat), which poses a challenge in the learning process. This study aims to determine whether watching stories of the prophets can positively influence the improvement of Arabic vocabulary mastery among santriwati at Pondok Pesantren Safinatussalamah, Aceh Singkil. The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 25 santriwati were selected as the sample using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test administered before and after the treatment (watching prophetic story films). The collected data were analyzed using t-test and simple linear regression. The results showed that watching stories of the prophets significantly improved the Arabic vocabulary mastery of the santriwati. These findings indicate that audiovisual media can be an effective alternative strategy to enhance Arabic language learning in pesantren environments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan gaya bahasaal-Muthabaqah terhadap pemahaman makna ayat-ayat dalam Al-Qur’an. Al-Muthabaqah, sebagai salah satu unsur dalam ilmu balaghah, memperkaya keindahan dan kedalaman makna bahasa Arab. Melalui pendekatan analisis deskripti fkualitatif, penelitian ini meneliti beberapa ayat yang mengandungun sural-Muthabaqah serta mengamati bagaimana penggunaannya mempengaruhi tingkat pemahaman pembaca terhadap makna ayat tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaanal-Muthabaqah mampu memperjelas kontras makna dalam ayat, sehingga meningkat kandaya tangkap dan apresiasi pembaca terhadap pesan yang ingin disampaikan. Selainitu, penggunaanal-Muthabaqah juga memperkaya aspekestetika dalam penyajian ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an, yang dapat meningkatkan minat dan perhatianpembaca. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan konstribusi dalam bidang studi tafsir Al-Qur’an dan pengajaranbahasa Arab dengan memperdalam pemahaman tentang penting nya unsur balaghah dalam memperkuat maknateks Al-Qur’an. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan Dari Penelitian Ini Adalah Mengupas Tentang Tasybih At-Tamtsil Yang Ada Pada Al-Quran Surah Al-Kahfi Ayat 45.  Penelitian Ini Berfokus Kepada Tasybih  At-Tamtsil Yang  Termasuk Bagian Dari Ilmu Balaghah, Serta Berfokus Kepada Hubungan Antara Tasybih  At-Tamtsil Dengan Q.S. Al-Kahfi Ayat 45. Penelitian Ini Menggunakan Metode Library Research (Kepustakaan) Yang Mana Metode Ini Menggunakan Teknik Pengumpulan Data Dengan Melakukan Penelaahan Terhadap Buku, Jurnal, Serta Laporan Yang Berkaitan Dengan Masalah Yang Ingin Dipecahkan. Tegasnya Kegiatan Penelitian Kepustakaan Hanya Sebatas Bahan Koleksi Perpustakaan Dan Tidak Memerlukan Penelitian Lapangan. Dalam Penelitian Ini, Penulis Harus Menelusuri Buku Atau Bahan Bacaan Untuk Menemukan Persamaan Atau Hubungan Lain Antara Situasi, Ciri, Dan Situasi Lain Dalam Naskah, Seperti Sebab Akibat, Hubungan Antar Tempat, Waktu, Dan Lain-Lain. Temuan Dalam Penelitian Ini Adalah (1) Tasybih Yang Ada Pada Ayat Ini Adalah Termasuk Kelompok Dari Ilmu Balaghah, Dikarenakan Susunan Gaya Bahasa Dari Perserupaan Dan Perbedaan, Yaitu Yang Membandingkan Berupa Benda, Karakter Dari Beberapa Hal Dengan Benda, Karakter Atau Yang Lainnya, Contohnya Keterkaitan Sebab Akibat, Keterkaitan Kawasan, Lokasi Dan Keterkaitan Lainnya. (2) Dalam Surah Al-Kahfi Ayat 45 Pada Kalimat  مَثَلَ  Yang Termasuk Perumpamaan Serta Menerangkan Suatu Hal Yang Mempunyai Keterkaitan Situasi. (3) Tasybih Pada Ayat Ini Ialah Mengumpamakan Karakter Serta Perihal Musyabbah. Apabila Pengertian Musyabbah Masih Susah Dimengerti, Maka Allah Menjelaskan Tasybih Supaya Pengertian Tentang Musyabbah Kelihatan Transparan Dan Benar.

Abstract

This article explains the Factors of Student Difficulty in Learning Arabic at MTs Al-Manar Medan. This research is very important to carry out to find out the various factors that become obstacles for Mts Al-Manar Medan students in learning Arabic and find solutions. This study uses a qualitative method. Research participants were students of MTS Al-Manar Medan. Data collection methods and techniques were in the form of questionnaires distributed to students at Mts Al-Manar Medan and interviews conducted with several students and teachers teaching Arabic subjects. The findings from this research show that students’ difficulties in learning Arabic are influenced by five factors consisting of internal and external factors, namely, first, the students’ lack of memorizing Arabic vocabulary. Second, the lack of student interest in learning Arabic. Third, students come from various different elementary school educational backgrounds. Fourth, the teacher factor, which can be seen from teaching methods that are less attractive and the ability to manage the class that is not optimal. Fifth, environmental factors, for example the use of regional languages at home which is more dominant than Arabic

Abstract

This article examines two significant linguistic phenomena in Arabic: Ta'kid Al-Madh Bima Yusybih Al-Dzamm and Ta'kid Al-Dzamm Bima Yusybih Al-Madh. Both are rhetorical techniques that enrich the meaning of praise and insult, by presenting conflicting nuances. Ta'kid Al-Madh Bima Yusybih Al-Dzamm describes the way praise is conveyed by inserting elements that contain insults, creating irony and complexity in the message. For example, expressions that appear positive can contain deep innuendo. In contrast, Ta'kid Al-Dzamm Bima Yusybih Al-Madh shows how insults can be framed with nuances of praise, turning criticism into something more subtle and open to acceptance. The research method used by researchers in this research is a qualitative research approach with a descriptive method approach. This research used data collection by searching in journals and books as well as previous research literature related to this research. Through analysis of linguistic structures and examples from literary works and everyday conversations, this article aims to explain the emotional and social impact of both techniques. With a deeper understanding of Ta'kid Al-Madh and Ta'kid Al-Dzamm, readers are expected to be able to appreciate the uniqueness and complexity of the Arabic language as well as the rhetorical implications that exist in everyday communication.

Abstract

Religious harmony in Indonesia has become an important issue amid ongoing social dynamics. Based on Jorge Gracia’s hermeneutic approach, this study examines the phenomenon of Kristen Muhammadiyah (Krismuha)—harmonious interactions between Christian and Muhammadiyah communities in Muhammadiyah educational environments in non-Muslim-majority areas. The method used is descriptive-qualitative with text analysis techniques applied to the work Kristen Muhammadiyah by Abdul Mu’ti and Fajar Riza Ul Haq. The study results indicate that interactions between Muhammadiyah and the Christian community in the field of education occur without theological coercion but are based on sociological relationships that uphold openness, comfort, and respect for each other’s identities. These findings affirm that the inclusive pluralism model promoted by Muhammadiyah is capable of building interfaith trust through education. Gracia’s hermeneutic approach demonstrates a balance between the interpretation of normative Islamic texts and the pluralistic social context faced by Muhammadiyah. The Krismuha phenomenon contributes to interfaith diplomacy at the grassroots level, strengthening social cohesion and enriching Indonesia’s living laboratory of pluralism. This study recommends the development of similar models to expand the scope of interfaith harmony in Indonesia.
