Abstract

The trend of working women in Indonesia has increased. In 2017 the participation rate of women workers increased by 39.3%. This study aims to analyze the tendency of women to work in villages and cities, analyze the relationship of women who work with reproductive health, the relationship between marital status and reproductive health and Islamic perspectives on working women. The method used was quantitative, sourced from secondary data on Indonesia's Demographic and Health Data Survey 2017 Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. It was found that the tendency of women to work in villages was higher by 65.5%. The analysis found that the significant correlation between job status and marital status with reproductive health, with p-value of 0.0001 and 0.0001. It is not forbidden in Islam that women work outside the home, but must uphold a woman’s character, her role in her family and dignity. Considering women have a dual role, in the household and as workers, the company should give the right to maintain reproductive health such as menstruation leave, pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding. Abstract

Gizi seimbang pada masa pandemi covid-19 sangat penting bagi pola hidup manusia karena dengan mengkonsumsi gizi seimbang maka masyarakat dapat menjaga kesehatan sehingga virus tidak mudah masuk kedalam tubuh dan dengan itu dapat memutuskan rantai penyebaran virus corona. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan wawancara secara mendalam kepada setiap responden dan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Sempel yang telah didapat sebanyak tiga responden, dan keseluruhan responden merupakan ibu rumah tangga. Berdasarkan hasil yang telah didapatkan bahwa, pengetahuan sikap dan tindakan yang dilakukan responden dalam penerapan gizi seimbang pada masa pandemi covid-19 sangat baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ketiga responden telah paham tentang gizi seimbang dan telah menerapkannya dirumah untuk menjaga kesehatannya beserta keluarganya pada masa pandemi covid-19. Saran untuk semua responden agar selalu menerapkan pola hidup sehat, serta selalu konsumsi makanan yang bergizi dan seimbang.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that is a threat to people in developing countries. Hypertension is also called the silent killer which is the cause of death in Indonesia. The prevalence of hypertension in North Sumatra Province reaches 6.7% of the population in North Sumatra, based on data from the Ministry of Health's Health Research and Development Agency. This means that the population of North Sumatra suffering from hypertension reaches 12.42 million people spread across several districts (Ministry of Health, 2013). aro Regency is one of the highest numbers of hypertension, following Deli Serdang district. In 2016 the number of hypertensive patients in Karo Regency was 12,608 people, this prevalence was higher in female sex (52%) men (48%), the largest in the age group 55-59 years (Simbolon, 2016). This type of research is descriptive using the quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. Determination of the number of samples by simple random sampling, and obtained a sample of 30 people. Data analysis using univariate analysis to see the frequency distribution of each variable. The results of this study found that, 50% of respondents had high school education, 85% of respondents as housewives, respondents aged between 40-60 years, and 60% of respondents had a family history of hypertension.

Abstract

Poskesdes (Rural Health Care) is a Community-Based Health Effort established to optimalize the potentials existing in the community to improve the health status and the utilization of health services. The purpose of this quantitative study was to analyze the utilization determinant of rural health post by the families in Kutalimbaru Subdistrict, Deli Serdang District. The data for this study were obtained through questionnaire-based interview with 80 respondents comprising the mothers with babies/children under five years old.The data obtained were analyzed through path analysis method. The result of this study showed that 50% of the respondents were of 20-30 years old and 28.8% had negative relationship with the utilization (-0.288). Majority of the respondents (48.7%) were SMA (High School) graduates and 18.6% had relationship with the utilization (0.186). The knowledge of the respondents (85%) about Poskesdes was good and 22.2% had relationship with the utilization (0.222). The attitude of the respondents (67.5%) towards Poskesdes was good and 49.4% had relationship with the utilization (0.494). 55% of the respondents had high income and 27% had negative relationship with the utilization (-0.270). 62.5% of the respondents had poor family support in utilizing the Poskesdes and 26.6% had negative relationship with the utilization (-0.266). The houses of the majority (55%) of the respondents were not far from the Poskesdes and 24.6% had relationship with the utilization of Poskesdes (0.246). 66.3% of the respondents had a high need to the Poskesdes and 4% had relationship with the utilization of Poskesdes (0.040). It is suggested to improve the role of community members in health activities and the provision of information that the community members would prefer visiting the Poskesdes to have their health checked, to provide more extension and to hold more meetings with the community members that the community members are willing to optimalize the utilization of Poskesdes. Abstract

ABSTRACT               Malnutrition and severe malnutrition among children under five is one of the health problems currently receive enough attention. An estimated 15% of children under five in the world were underweight. Various strategies have been developed to prevent and handle this nutritional problem by comprehensive approach, which prioritizes health promotion and by teartment and recovery.              The purpose of the study was to analyze the implementation of health promotion strategies and its effect on community participation in the prevention of malnutrition in children under five in the area of the Helvetia health center Medan in 2014. This research used a mixed methods approach is combined with qualitative in-depth interviews to the 5 informants, and quantitative approach by interviewing 95 respondents.               The result of the research show that the implementation of advocacy activities is good enough with the commitment of the chief areas for prevention and handle of malnutrition, but based on the survey 76.8% of the public opinion on community empowerment activities are in the category of no good and there is a relationship between community empowerment with community participation in the prevention of malnutrition in children under five. Empowerment variables are variables that most influence on community participation (odds ratio value of 4.439).               It is recommended that the local government increase the activity of advocacy so that political support, especially policy support in the farm or Government Regulation, can be obtained. It is also recommended that favorable atmosphere development for people through media should be activated and established community empowerment should be improved.  Keywords:  Implementation, Health Promotion Strategy, Community Empowerment, Community Participation, Severe Malnutrition

Abstract

Penyakit tidak menular, seperti hipertensi menjadi ancaman bagi masyarakat di negara berkembang. Penyakit hipertensi menjadi penyebab kematian, disebut silent killer. Penyakit ini menjadi tantangan masalah kesehatan secara global karena prevalensinya yang tinggi menyebabkan penyakit kardiovaskuler dan penyakit ginjal kronik (Mills et al., 2016). Prevalensi hipertensi di Propinsi Sumatera Utara mencapai 6.7% dari jumlah penduduk di Sumatera Utara, berdasarkan data Badan Litbangkes Kementerian Kesehatan. Ini berarti bahwa jumlah penduduk Sumatera Utara yang menderita hipertensi mencapai 12,42 juta jiwa tersebar di beberapa Kabupaten (Kemenkes, 2013). Kabupaten Karo salah satu jumlah hipertensi yang terbanyak, menyusul kabupaten Deli Serdang. Tahun 2016 jumlah penderita hipertensi di Kabupaten Karo sebesar 12.608 orang, prevalensi ini lebih tinggi pada jenis kelamin perempuan (52%) lelaki (48%), terbesar pada kelompok umur 55 – 59 tahun (Simbolon, 2016).Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksploratif dengan menggunakan metode quantitative dengan pendekatan quasi experiment. Pengukuran dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi. Penentuan jumlah sampel dengan cara simple random sampling, dan didapatkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat, dan analisis t-dependen untuk mengetahui perberdaan sebelum dan setelah pelatihan.Hasil penelitian ini, bahwa prevalensi hipertensi sebelum dan setelah dilakukan intervensi senam antistroke mengalami penurunan. Dimana sebelum diberikan intervensi tekanan darah responden di atas 180/100 mmHg, namun setelah diberi intervensi rata-rata tekanan darah responden berada pada angka 140/85 mmHg. Keluhan subjektif yang dirasakan responden sebelun dan setelah diberikan intervensi senam anti stroke mengalami perubahan. Semula keluhan berada pada tingkat berat dan sedang, seteleh diintervensi keluhan berada pada tingkat sedang dan ringan.Kata Kunci: hipertensi, senam, antistroke, lansia, keluhan

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Entrepreneurship in Indonesia is still in below 2%. For comparison, entrepreneurship in the United States reached 11 percent of the total population, as much as 7 percent of Singapore, and Malaysia as much as 5 percent. The development of human resources with this kind of competition from the younger generation appropriate and relevant for the students to become entrepreneurs and create jobs. The purpose of this study to determine how the student interest in entrepreneurship UIN FKM-SU based on motivations. Indicator of entrepreneur motivation are Ambition for freedom, Self Realisation, and Pushing factors. This research is quantitative. Sample collection by distributing questionnaires, using a sampling method to 64 respondents totally student. The analysis technique used is a multivariate analysis with SPSS version 20 with an alpha of 5%. The results of this study indicate that entrepreneurship motivation of indicator Ambition for freedom that most influence on student interest in entrepreneurship UIN FKM-SU. Keyword : Motivation, interest, Entrepreneur, Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurship Motivation

Abstract

Overweight and obesity are increasing in Indonesia, and these conditions pose a growing threat to people with non-communicable diseases. This study aimed to show the difference in obesity among respondents who consume snacks compared to respondents who have the habit of eating breakfast with three choices to select from: always, sometimes, or never. This comparison was done to analyze the relationship between breakfast habits and snack consumption. This cross-sectional study collected data using a survey on 26 – 27 November 2021. The sample population included the entire academic community of the Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara, Medan. The sample was determined by an accidental sampling technique. Research instruments were used in the form of questionnaires, microtoise and weight scales to measure the anthropometrics of height and weight. Descriptive data analysis used normality tests and because the data were not normally distributed, the Kendall and Kruskal Wallis tests were done. The results of this study indicated that 38 respondents have overweight status (17.9%), 36 respondents (17.0%) obesity I, 18 respondents (8.5%) obesity II, and 26 respondents (12.3%) underweight. There was no significant difference in obesity among respondents who have the habit of eating breakfast always, sometimes, and never, with p-value of 0.793.There was a significant difference in obesity among respondents who have the habit of eating snacks never, sometimes, and always with a p-value of 0.014. Although snacking can sometimes lead to obesity, generally the fatting types of snacks consumed are cakes and fried foods. In conclusion, limiting snack foods such as cakes and fried foods can reduce obesity. It is recommended to replace the consumption of these snacks with fruits and vegetables.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the performance of KSM Pondok Miri Asri, community satisfaction, and the relationship between the performance of KSM Pondok Miri Asri with community satisfaction in managing waste in Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency as a form of mosque-based community empowerment post (Posdaya Masjid). The method used is a mixed method. Informants in this study were Sunggal sub-district officers, Sei Semayang Village officers, the chairman of the Ar-Ridho Mosque Prosperity Agency and the community. The results showed that as many as 61% of respondents stated that the performance of KSM Pondok Miri Asri was classified as good and 62.7% said they were satisfied with the performance. The significance value obtained is <0.05. In conclusion, the performance of KSM Pondok Miri Asri and community satisfaction are categorized as good, and there is a significant relationship between the performance of KSM Pondok Miri Asri and community satisfaction in Sunggal District. Abstract

Generally, hypertension occurs in the elderly, but some observations prove that hypertension can grow since adolescence and its prevalence increases over a certain period of time. The causes of hypertension, including unhealthy lifestyles, environment, education, and the lack of public insight regarding the management of hypertension sufferers. The target of this service is the Labu Baru Beach community, the procedures carried out by community service are surveys and advocacy. The survey was conducted to determine the indicators of public knowledge of Labu Baru Beach about Hypertension. Advocacy is carried out in three stages, namely: 1) Providing information about hypertension problems that occur. 2) Make joint efforts to solve the problem of hypertension for the community by involving the village head, village secretary, village officials, village midwives and village cadres to provide or explain hypertension. 3) Socialization of hypertension to mothers or the local community. 4) Insight about hypertension to the local community.
