Abstract

This research aims to: (1) Find out whether there is an effect parental education level on learning achievement of XI grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Banggai, (2) find out whether there is an effect of learning motivation on learning achievement in XI grade mathematics at SMA Negeri 1 Banggai, (3) find out whether there is an effect of parents education level and learning motivation on learning achievement of XI grade mathematics subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Banggai. This research is a quantitative research using associative analysis technique with the research subjects being 56 student of class XI science. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Research results show that (1) there is an effect of the variable level of parental education (X1) on the learning achievement of XI grade students in mathematics at SMA Negeri 1 Banggai, evidenced by the results of the partial test t arithmetic = 6,029 > t table 1,674 with a significant 0,000 < 0,05 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, (2) there is no influence of learning motivation variable on learning achievement of XI grade mathematic subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Banggai, evidenced by the results of the partial test t arithmetic = 1,457 < t table 1,673 with a significant 0,151 < 0,05 which means H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected, (3) there is a simultaneous influence of parents education level and learning motivation on learning achievement in mathematics for XI grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Banggai, evidenced by the results of the simultaneous test F count = 18,996 > F table 3,17 with a significant 0,000 < 0,05 so the H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The influence of parents education level on learning achievement is 39,68% greater than the influence of learning motivation on learning achievement which is 2,06%. The effect of parents education level and learning motivation simultaneously on learning achievement is 41,8% and the remaining 58,2% is influenced by other reasons not included in this study.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study that agrees to describe the types of errors made by students of class XI SMA Negeri 7 Palu in solving quadratic function questions. Data were collected by means of test and interview methods. The research subjects consisted of 2 students. The results showed that the students' misconceptions were: (1) Wrong to write down what was known and asked from the questions, it was shown that the subject did not write down what was known and was asked for the answer. (2) Wrong in determining the solution of the problem, it is shown that the subject made an error in substituting the values ​​a, b, and c in the formula and wrong in determining the factor of a quadratic function. (3) wrong in determining the final answer. (4) wrong in multiplying the value of a to the quadratic function formula. Principle errors that were made by students were: (1) students did not understand the concept and did not master the prerequisite material, students did not write the formula for the peak point and were wrong in determining the value of the peak point of a parabola, procedural errors made by students were: (1) Not writing what was known and asked from the questions, it is shown that the subject did not write down what was known and was asked for the answer. (2) an error in carrying out the operation, it was shown that the student was wrong in doing the questions given. (3) incomplete procedure error.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the thought process of students in solving problems in terms of personality types guardian and idealist in class XI SMA Negeri 5 Palu. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself and supporting instruments are The Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS), math the problems, and interviews. The results of this study show that guardian students and idealist students are able to perform all stages of the thinking process in solving math problems, namely receiving information, processing information, and forming conclusions. Guardian and idealist students at the stage of receiving information read the problem well. Guardian students read enough once to understand the problem, while idealist students read repeatedly to understand the problem. At the information processing stage, guardian students can explain the problem solving plan while idealist students have difficulty explaining the solution plan. At the conclusion formation stage, guardian students consistently solve the problem according to what was previously planned. idealist students at the conclusion formation stage can solve the problem even though at the information processing stage they cannot explain the solution plan.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep matematis adalah kemampuan siswa untuk memahami konsep-konsep matematika secara mendalam dan dapat menerapkan konsep tersebut dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu faktor untuk menunjang pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi internet dengan bijak dan tepat oleh siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara pemanfaatan teknologi informasi internet terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP Negeri 9 Kota Palu kelas VIII. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 orang yang terdiri dua kelas dan dari 246 populasi total dari delapan kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Random Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket pemanfaatan teknologi informasi internet dan tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Temuan hasil dari penelititian ini bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara pemanfaatan teknologi informasi internet terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP Negeri 9 Kota Palu kelas VIII yang mana nilai R2 0,420 atau bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi informasi internet berkontribusi sebesar 42% terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa adapun 58% pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya. Abstract

This study is a research that uses a quantitative approach that aims to describe learning motivation of the 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Ampana City in learning mathematics. The data in this study were collected using a questionnaire sheet with a total of 22 items and measured using a Likert scale, namely (1) strongly disagree, (2) disagree, (3) undecided, (4) strongly agree, (5) strongly disagree, as well as observational data in the form of pictures. The research subjects consisted of 60 grade VIII students drawn from 2 different classes. The results of this study indicate that students' learning motivation in learning mathematics in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Ampana Kota has an average of 3.0 and is included in the high category, with the indicator of being diligent in facing the task of getting an average of 3.0 in the high category, the tenacious indicator faces difficulty getting an average of 3.1 in the high category, the indicator showing interest in various problems gets an average of 2.8 in the sufficient category, the indicator prefers to work independently gets an average of 2.9 in the sufficient category, the indicator of getting bored quickly on routine tasks gets an average of 3.2 in the high category, and the indicator can defend opinions rationally gets an average of 2.8 in the moderate category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe of  problem solving of Students Class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Palu in Solving the Narrative Test of Linear Equations in Two Variables in terms of Adversity Quotient (AQ). This type of research was qualitative. The subject in this research was three student class VIII SMP    Negeri 7 Palu in even semester of the academic year of 2021/2022 which consisted of student each of the climber type, the camper type, and the quitter type. Data about students’ problem solving were collected by written tests and interviews, while data about students’ adversity quotient were obtained by giving ARP questionnaires. The results of this research show that (1) problem solving climber type students are able to carry out the stage of understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan of solving and looking back, (2) problem solving camper type students are able to carry out the stage of understanding the problem, devising a plan, and carrying out the plan of solving, (3) problem solving quitter type students are able to carry out the stage of understanding the problem and devising a plan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada perbandingan trigonometri sudut istimewa di kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Palu. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) efektif terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada perbandingan trigonometri sudut istimewa di kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Palu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian menggunakan The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Palu yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2018/2019 dan terdiri dari 7 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Nonprobability sampling. Kelas yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah kelas X MIA 1 yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Hasil analisis data dari post-test diperoleh persentase ketuntasan siswa sebanyak 80%. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan data post-test siswa diperoleh zhitung = 1,73 dan ztabel = 1,65 pada taraf signifikan 0,05, hal tersebut menunjukkan zhitung > ztabel yang artinya tolak H0 dan terima Ha. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) efektif terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada perbandingan trigonometri sudut istimewa di kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Palu. Kata kunci: Efektivitas Pembelajaran, Realistic Mathematics Education, Hasil Belajar. Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on mathematics learning outcomes on trigonometric ratios of special angles in class X MIA of SMA Negeri 3 Palu. The hypothesis of this research is the effectiveness of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on mathematics learning outcomes on a trigonometric ratios of special angles in class X MIA of SMA Negeri 3 Palu. This research is quantitative research experiment with a research design by using The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this research was all of class X MIA in SMA Negeri 3 Palu which register in the 2018/2019 school year and consisted of 7 classes. The sampling technique was done by Nonprobability sampling. The class that became the sample of the research was class X MIA 1 that consisted of 30 students. The results of the post-test data analysis obtained a percentage of students’ completeness as much as 80%. Based on the calculation of testing hypothesis by using the students’ post-test then got the zcounted = 1,73 and ztable = 1,65 with level of significant 0,05, it shows that the zcounted>ztable which means H0 rejected and Ha accepted. So, it can be concluded that Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning is effective on mathematics learning outcomes on trigonometric ratios of special angles in class X MIA of SMA Negeri 3 Palu. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi atau gambaran mengenai profil penalaran analogi siswa kelas IX MTs Alkahairaat Sandana yang memiliki kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang dan rendah dalam menyelesaikan masalah pythagoras. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 orang siswa yang diambil dari 27 siswa kelas IX A MTs Alkhairaat Sandana. Subjek dipilih berdasarkan nilai rapor dan rekomendasi dari guru mata pelajaran. Data diperoleh dari hasil tes tertilis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa subjek berkemampuan matematika tinggi yaitu MM dapat menyelesaiakan dengan baik keempat indikator tahapan penalaran analogi, yaitu encoding (Pengkodean), inferring (Penyimpulan), mapping (Pemetaan), dan applying (penerapan). Subjek berkemampuan matematika sedang yaitu MA hanya dapat menyelesaiakn tiga indikator tahapan penalaran analogi, yaitu encoding (Pengkodean), inferring (Penyimpulan), dan mapping (Pemetaan). Pada indikator ke-empat applying (penerapan), subjek tidak mampu meyelesaikan masalah target dari proses pengaplikasian struktur penyelesaian masalah sumber atau subjek tidak dapat menentukan panjang sisi AC pada M2. Subjek MA berkemampuan matematika rendah yaitu RA dalam menyelesaikan masalah pythagoras dari keempat indikator tahapan penalaran analogi, subjek hanya dapat menyelesaiakn dua indikator tahapan penalaran analogi, yaitu encoding (Pengkodean), dan inferring (Penyimpulan). Pada indikator ke-tiga yaitu mapping (Pemetaan), subjek RA tidak mengetahui kesamaan/kemiripan dari masalah sumber dan masalah target, subjek RA hanya dapat menemukan panjang sisi BD dengan cara membagi dua panjang sisi AB. Pada indikator ke-empat applying (penerapan), subjek RA tidak mampu meyelesaikan masalah target dari proses pengaplikasian struktur penyelesaian masalah sumber atau subjek tidak dapat menentukan panjang sisi AC pada M2.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas pembelajaran dengan pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap hasil belajar matematika ditinjau dari motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Eksperimen semu atau eksperimen quasi, yakni jenis penelitian eksperimen dimana peneliti tidak mampu mengontrol semua variabel yang diteliti. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan faktorial 2×2 dilaksanakan pada siswa SMK Negeri 2 Palu Kelas X BDP 3 dan BDP 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan pendekatan RME, memiliki prestasi belajar yang lebih tinggi dari pada siswa yang diajar menggunakan pendekatan konvensional. Di samping itu, pada kedua pendekatan pembelajaran, siswa dengan motivasi tinggi memiliki prestasi yang lebih baik daripada siswa yang memiliki motivasi rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar siswa, dan terlihat bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran RME sangat cocok diterapkan pada siswa dengan motivasi belajar yang rendah
