Abstract

Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi, holds immense natural and cultural tourism potential, including megaliths, Lake Poso, and local traditions, yet faces challenges in effective promotion. Despite this potential, research on how green tourism marketing can address promotion gaps, sustainability issues, and competitiveness in Poso remains limited. This study aims to explore green tourism marketing strategies that optimize these assets to enhance destination competitiveness. Utilizing a qualitative library research approach, the study analyzes secondary data from journals, reports, and academic publications. Findings reveal that digital marketing through social media platforms significantly expands audience reach, effectively promoting Poso’s unique attractions. Community involvement in tourism management strengthens the local economy and preserves cultural heritage, fostering authentic tourist experiences. However, limited infrastructure, inadequate accessibility, and negative security perceptions hinder progress. The study concludes that integrating digital marketing, community participation, and sustainable practices is essential for Poso’s tourism development. Recommendations include enhancing digital promotion with engaging content, improving transportation and signage, and empowering local communities through training to manage tourism sustainably. These strategies can position Poso as a leading green tourism destination, supporting economic growth and cultural preservation.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of community service program (PKM) in utilizing household gardens for vegetable cultivation (olericulture) as an effort to reduce household consumption expenditure among women in Tendadongi Village, North Pamona District, Poso Regency. The program was implemented over five months involving 50 participants through a participatory learning approach combining theoretical training, direct practice, and continuous mentoring. Results demonstrated that 86% of participants successfully developed productive gardens with an average reduction in household consumption expenditure of 20–30% per month or IDR 150,000–250,000. Vegetable consumption frequency increased from 2–3 times to 4–5 times per week, reflecting significant improvement in family nutrition quality. The formation of an active productive garden community ensures program sustainability post-training. In conclusion, vegetable cultivation in household gardens is an effective strategy for strengthening household food security and reducing household food consumption burden.

Abstract

Social problems in North Morowali Regency have escalated through increasing deviant behaviors such as drug abuse, juvenile delinquency, domestic violence, and the weakening of community social values. These issues not only threaten social stability but also hinder regional development and community welfare. This Community Service Program aims to formulate and implement strategies to address social problems through educational and participatory approaches. The methods applied include socialization, training, assistance, and evaluation involving village officials, community leaders, youth representatives, the Women and Child Protection Office, and the Regional Development Planning Agency. The results indicate that community understanding of social problems improved significantly through awareness sessions and group discussions. The training activities strengthened skills related to social communication, family resilience, and youth empowerment. Meanwhile, the assistance phase enhanced community-based program implementation, and the evaluation revealed behavioral changes and increased community involvement in maintaining a healthy social environment. Thus, the strategies implemented successfully foster sustainable collaboration for the prevention of social problems in North Morowali Regency.
