Abstract

The type of research used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive research type. The data and information needed in this study were obtained from information from informants, namely people who were considered to know and could be trusted in providing accurate information using two types of data, namely primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this research were direct observation at the research location, in-depth interviews and documentation at the research location. The results of the research show that the implementation of the four management functions of the community learning activity center when viewed from the planning function at PKBM Permata has been going well. It can be seen that PKBM planning is going according to the planning that has been done. the organization at PKBM Permata has been going well. It can be argued that the center of community learning activities should hold deliberations before holding learning activities in the fields involved in learning activities in order to achieve goals according to the vision and mission. the implementation of PKBM Permata has been going well. It can be argued that the process of carrying out learning can be done anywhere because it does not have to be in the room and the implementation of learning activities is scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. supervision at PKBM Permata is categorized as good because those who carry out each supervision need a report which is reported at any time to the Mandailing Natal District Education Office

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of achievement motivation, academic culture, and self-development on the performance of lecturers at Tarbiyah College of Batu Bara Regency. The research sample was all lecturers at the Tarbiyah College of Batu Bara Regency, totaling 54 people. This study used a questionnaire for data collection. It was analyzed using multiple regression by conducting a simultaneous test, determination test, and partial test with a significant level of 5 percent (α = 0.05), which was processed with the help of the SPSS 22 tool. The study's results showed the influence of achievement motivation, academic culture, and self-development on lecturer performance. There is an influence of Achievement Motivation (X1), Academic Culture (X2), and Self-Development (X3) together on Lecturer Performance. The magnitude of the influence is indicated by the coefficient of determination R2 (R square) = 24.1, which means that Achievement Motivation (X1), Academic Culture (X2), and Self-Development (X3) jointly influence lecturer performance by 24.1% and other factors determine remaining 75.9%. In conclusion, there is a significant influence between achievement motivation, academic culture, and self-development on lecturer performance Keywords: achievement motivation, academic culture, lecturer performance, self-development

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze in depth the character-based learning that was carried out during the covid 19 pandemic at SD Negeri 0223904 North Binjai, to analyze in depth how SD Negeri 0223904 North Binjai implements character-based learning with the Blended learning model and to find out the impact of the character-based learning model implemented by students at SD Negeri 0223904 North Binjai. The research approach uses qualitative data sources from school principals, teachers, students and parents. Research findings (1) the implementation of character education in schools during the covid 19 pandemic was carried out in the following ways (a) Character learning was carried out by developing the Binjai city teachers' KKG program, (b) Learning was carried out through blended learning, (c) Instilling positive habits both at school and in the classroom, (d) Implemented in an integrated manner with each lesson through lesson plans and learning programs, (e) Involve the participation of the school community; (2) Learning the blended model at SD Negeri 0223904 Binjai is considered very effective, out of 365 students, 117 students (32.05%) chose to use only online learning, while 189 students (51.78%) tended to choose blended and 59 students (16.16%) did not choose any form of learning. Based on this data it can be said that students like blended learning, namely 51.78%. This is because students are willing to accept blended learning by means of a combination of face-to-face and online as well as the existence of internet package funding assistance from schools in the form of deductions from school fees. In addition, students really like blended learning because learning is interesting, fun and not boring

Abstract

Associative Social Process is part of social interaction that discusses harmony between one ethnicity and another. In this study, ethnic Malays and ethnic Banjar in Pematang Guntung Village can live side by side and are good neighbors with one another. The harmony of the Malay and Banjar ethnic groups is also embodied in the philosophy of outlook on life in society in various fields of life such as socio-economic values, the environment, and so on. This phenomenon is of interest to researchers because the Coastal Malay and Banjar ethnic groups in Pematang Guntung Village have long lived in harmony and side by side in an area. Bearing in mind, existing ethnic differences, and customs, tend to cause inter-ethnic conflict between each group which can annihilate other groups

Abstract

Perbaikan mutu dan peningkatan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap sekolah akan tercapai dengan baik jika pelaksanaannya dilakukan melalui manajemen mutu terpadu atau Total Quality Management (TQM)  Berbasis Kompetensi yakni suatu sistem nilai yang mendasar dan komperhensip dalam mengelola organisasi dengan tujuan meningkatkan kinerja sumber daya manusia organisasi secara berkelanjutan dalam jangka panjang dengan memberikan perhatian secara khusus pada pengelolaan dan memanfaatkan sumber dayanya berkaitan dengan peran dan kompetensi antar personil, tanggungjawab antar personil dan pengembangan kompetensi personil serta lainnya, sehingga setiap personil sekolah mampu menunjukkan perannya dalam organisasi secara efektif dan kinerja yang sesuai dalam organisasi. Sebab, kunci kesuksesan sekolah adalah untuk mencapai tingkat kompetansi yang tertinggi terhadap organisasi sekolah adalah kemampuan untuk memaksimalkan keuntungan-keuntungan yang dimiliki organisasi sekolah, yakni sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang ada di dalamnya. Pelatihan tentang manajemen mutu terpadu (TQM) berbasis kompetensi di Perguruan Taman Siswa Kota Pematang Siantar mencakup (1) kepemimpinan dan startegi yang meliputi komitmen, kebijakan mutu, analisis organisasional, dan perencanaan strategis, (2) sistem dan prosedur meliputi efisiensi adminsitratif, pemaknaan data dan biaya mutu, (3) kerja tim meliputi pemberdayaan tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan, manajemen kelompok dan diri sendiri, serta alat mutu yang digunakan, (4) evaluasi meliputi monitoring, survey kepuasan dan kebutuhan stakeholder, dan pengujian standar

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe strategic planning at Guang Ming Medan Elementary School in achieving quality education, to find out how Guang Ming Medan Elementary School implements its strategy in achieving quality education, to find out how Guang Ming Medan Elementary School conducts strategic evaluations to achieve quality education. This research was conducted at Guang Ming Elementary School Weaving Factory Street No. 72 Medan. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. Respondents in this study were school principals, vice principals, teachers, and school committees. The findings of this study are as follows (1) strategic planning in improving the quality of graduates at SD Guang Ming Medan, is very good, has fulfilled the stages, namely: a. Analysis Stage. Analysis of the internal and external environment, examines the factors that affect the quality of graduates, captures information on current and future school conditions and evaluates the results of program implementation in the previous period as material for analysis in preparing a strategic plan. b. Strategy Formulation. The formulation is carried out by a team by adjusting the conditions of the school and taking into account the expectations of stakeholders; (2) Implementation of strategic planning in improving the quality of education at Guang Ming Elementary School is carried out, namely: a. Involve stakeholders by giving authority to teachers and staff, making program announcements at the beginning of the year, holding coordination meetings, and assigning tasks according to their fields. b. Maximizing existing resources, maximizing guidance and learning both in the academic and non-academic fields and using as much as possible the facilities and infrastructure owned by schools to support the achievement of superior quality graduates; (3) Evaluation and implications of strategic planning for the quality of education at SD Guang Ming, namely: a. Internal and external evaluations by evaluating all programs that have been implemented and those that have not been implemented, evaluating graduates every year, looking at teacher professionalism, evaluating achievements, and monitoring carried out by supervisors. b. Evaluation of the implications (impact), experiencing an increase in the quality of education with indicators: increasing the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process, increasing student achievement both academic and non-academic, increasing the number of students, improving teachers, and other academic achievements.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the research was  to evaluate the implementation of KKNI based curriculum.  This study used a qualitative approach, case study. The data collection techniques were interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman techniques. The results of the research show four variables that were evaluated. From the result of data analysis it was found that First, in the aspect of the context variable, the perception of lecturers and students about curriculum implementation based on KKNI was already good, but the perceptions of the educational staffs were not good. Second, in terms of the input variable, it was seen from three points; the vision and mission, KKNI socialization, and learning management. Third, from the aspect of the process variable, in the learning process, the lecturers of Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) tended to have implemented student- centered learning. Meanwhile the lecturers of Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) still tended to implement teacher- centered learning processes. Fourth, in terms of product variable, the achievement of the students who took curriculum class in reference to KKNI were very good.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan kurikulum berbasis KKNI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan empat variabel yang dievaluasi. Dari hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa Pertama, pada aspek variabel konteks, persepsi dosen dan mahasiswa tentang penerapan kurikulum berbasis KKNI sudah baik, namun tenaga kependidikan kurang baik. Kedua, ditinjau dari variabel input dilihat dari tiga poin; visi dan misi, sosialisasi KKNI, dan manajemen pembelajaran. Ketiga, dari aspek variabel proses, dalam proses pembelajaran dosen Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan (FITK) cenderung menerapkan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa. Sementara dosen Fakultas Syariah dan Hukum (FSH) masih cenderung menerapkan proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru. Keempat, ditinjau dari variabel produk, prestasi belajar siswa yang mengikuti kelas kurikulum mengacu pada KKNI sangat baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe efforts to achieve graduate excellence through the implementation of integrated curriculum management at the Nurul Hakim Tembung-Deli Serdang Modern Islamic Boarding School. This study used a qualitative approach with an analytical descriptive study method. The results of the study show (1) The integrated curriculum planning of the Nurul Hakim Tembung Modern Islamic Boarding School in achieving graduate excellence begins with determining the Vision and Mission, institutional strategy, and institutional output. Determination of the vision and mission, the goals of the institution are prepared based on the deliberations of the leadership of the pesantren with the teachers by prioritizing the concept of graduate excellence. (2) Implementation of integrated curriculum management, namely in the form of curriculum integration with a ratio of 50% Madrasah curriculum and 50% Islamic boarding school curriculum. Implementation of integrated curriculum management consists of intra-curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular. (3) Evaluation of integrated curriculum management, including evaluation of organizational structure, evaluation of Human Resources, and Evaluation of Learning to achieve excellence in graduates. Evaluation is carried out if the output of graduates and the development of students do not have significant results. (4) To achieve the excellence of graduates, the pesantren needs the support of the director of the foundation, the quality of teachers, students, curriculum and learning management. Graduate achievements are provided with religious guidance, foreign language guidance and additional learning for graduates who wish to continue on to Middle Eastern Universities and State Universities.

Abstract

Identification of the problems in this study are (1) The role of the Majelis Dikdasmen Binjai in the development of institutions at MTs Aisyiyah Binjai, (2) The Majelis Dikdasmen Binjai as the Supervisory Board at MTs Aisyiyah. The research method used in this research is a case study qualitative research. There were 7 research subjects. Research using qualitative methods. Data collection was in the form of interview guidelines, observations, and recording devices to facilitate data collection related to the Role of the Majelis Dikdasmen Binjai as the Supervisory Board at MTs Aisyiyah Binjai. The results of the research show that the role of a Supervisory Board at MTs Aisyiyah has carried out its duties and functions in the development of institutions at MTs Aisyiyah. Carry out supervision of the proposal, appointment and dismissal of school principals, teachers and employees. Plan and approve the Madrasah budget and income. The role of Majelis Dikdasmen Binjai has carried out its role as a supervisory body at MTs Aisyiyah Binjai well.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative research in the form of a case study. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal in Deli Serdang Regency. The purpose of this study was to find out how the principal's management improves teacher teaching performance at SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal District. The respondents of this study were school principals, vice principals, teachers and students. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documents. The results of this study are that SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal has implemented policies quite well to improve teacher teaching performance and is trying to improve the program so that it can be more easily implemented by teachers and students by involving all school stake holders . The work arrangement for the Principal of Sunggal 1 Public Middle School is carried out by the principal by forming a school management team where the management section will formulate the main tasks and functions of each group in the school organizational structure by dividing tasks according to the existing school organizational structure. Supervision of the principal of SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal is carried out through two stages, namely direct supervision by going directly to the field and indirect supervision by requesting reports from school officials and involving supervision of other parties. Factors supporting the teaching performance of teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal come from within the school such as infrastructure, teachers and collaboration with all parties, then for supporting factors that come from outside the school, namely collaboration with Higher Education Institutions while inhibiting factors include lack of teacher competence, teaching methods teaching is monotonous, the budget is inadequate, the teacher's ability to use ICT is low plus there is an attitude of resignation due to the age factor to keep up with technology and information developments
